Banggood still sells a brushless setup for $43 that works awesome in the Bandit/ Stampede 2wd. You can also upgrade the transmission, but that runs $90 . I didn't care for the transmission and went back to the stock one. Brushless is the way to go with a 2wd.
Only other cheap upgrade I would recommend is a 9Imod servo. I have 2 coreless and 1 brushless 45kg. Both are good and strong. The coreless is about $30-35 the brushless is $45ish. They are definitly durable as I have ran the cheaper coreless in my truggy for a few races testing it out. It didnt seem like enough power for the truggy, it pushed like a dump truck. However, I realized it was just the front diff had lost all its fluid. I filled it up and it turned hard again. Still yet to use the brushless, but I am already sure of there durability cause the coreless uses the same gears. Great cheap upgrade system, 4000kv should be pretty fast on 2s geared proper.
Hello, I am very curious how he drives it! Can you possibly put subtitles in your videos? We love looking at you, but our English isn't that good. Greetings from Germany
It’s easier if you remove stabilizer braces to install servo saver. Just fyi I have the original Stampede two of them that I need to completely change to fm done with am! 🤘🏼✌🏼
I used wall plugs and changed to longer screw to lift the esc tray higher so I can fit in 3s battery in there. I’m sure you will try 3s on that new brushless system👍 thanks for sharing
Good video! I just got this system have not tried it yet but does look promising. Under the foam in the box it came in there is 3m double sided tape for the ESC in the on off switch and two zip ties.
Thanks! It’s a good system….just watch your gearing…cause the high speed optional gearing seemed to strain this system quite a bit so I geared mine down to 14/83
You should be able to calibrate the transmitter and it should be good to go….no binding necessary….you might wanna go through the programming though….it shows how to do that in the instructions
There is another cheap upgrade that makes a huge difference and that is 15mm wheel hex adapters. It widens the stance just enough to help the flip overs. it really helps and its only a $10 upgrade and only takes about 15 minutes.
@@RCKnockout Nolan here is the video I found that showed how well they worked. Check it out. i think your stampede viewers will all like this mod ru-vid.com/video/%D0%B2%D0%B8%D0%B4%D0%B5%D0%BE-bMb9vGPV23E.html
My RC shop salesman is Traxxas store airport hobby shop in Minot North Dakota would charge me $78 for a charger for a battery charger to sell venom battery is what I'm working with I am kind of new to that never worked with one at all so the first thing I think of is the swamped electronics to Traxxas only which that would be a lot more money which I do not having
Yeah the Venom stuff is pretty good…a lot of the batteries I have experienced seem to work as well as, if not better than the Traxxas batteries at a cheaper price too
this should be good, I upgraded both my 2wd stampedes w cheap power systems, all cheap brushless motors seem ok,but the ultra cheap esc's are 50/50 at best. I wound up finding hobbywing esc's on aliexpress for around $30 50A &60A and they handle 3s batteries and work well. I assume this esc from Horizon Hobbies should also work well. it very well could be a hobbywing oem esc like the ones they make for redcat.
No it’s been holding up pretty good….it does seem to get a little hot on 3s and the battery doesn’t seem to last super long….but aside from that no issues
Are kidding this was and kind-of the one of the top 5 electronics for R/C before Spectrum, and HW started to really take over. They where in everything R/C before. I would say it was around 2013- 2016 around
I won’t run deans plugs past 2s….they start having issues…I’ve had them trigger limp mode, thats usually the most basic problem…sometimes they melt to the point the solder comes off….or it melts to the battery connector…..I’m very surprised you haven’t had any issues….especially on 6s
hey idk if u would be interested but I'm looking for a cheap xl5 for a slash frame I got Im still getting parts but I need an esc I have a motor but if ur interested in selling the xl5 esc for cheap hmu
@@Geezuhs92 ok you can’t buy these pre-mounted with these tires I can get you links to some similar options though amzn.to/3iwodA0 The first ones are made for the Stampede 4x4 and Rustler 4x4…..they should mount right up on a 2wd since they have the 12mm hexes amzn.to/3EVmsnA The second link is the same wheels as mine with a slightly different Sledgehammer tire….very similar tread design….disadvantage to these is you’ll need some 17mm hex adapters to put these on you Stampede
@@lunchbox3346 you’ll have to look that up….I’m not sure what a new one costs from Traxxas but for the vxl3s and 3500…I’m pretty sure it’s $125….I looked it up before I bought this system actually
