despite him not singing the clean vocals clean, this is still WAY better than I expected. This version of the band is BRINGING it live. I just hope Jared's in a good place and he's drinking that beer for fun and not to mask some deeper stuff
Jah has issue's, we all do.... He has been and may still be in some dank dark place. But who the hell wouldn't, especially if you been thru the shit Jah's been thru.
That record deal with Jive derailed their career. After "Broke", they got a million-dollar offer from Sony that they couldn't take because Jive wouldn't release them from their contract. Hed PE should have reached the heights of Korn and Limp Bizkit.
Fist off! Amazing performance! been listing to Hed Pe since my older brother put me on game with them. i was living in oregon at the time. but was always back an forth from San Fernando valley. an this fucking band man has always been something i can Knock hard in the car! much respect to all of them! keeping that SRH FEELING! an the new take on the songs i fucking love it growing up into the hard music. Everyone talking shit, its cool talk it man. just understand its a diff take on the music they have made.
He might not have his usual clean vocals on here, but his growls are great. I also think his time with Benji Webb has rubbed off on him. Added a Jamaican twang...
I was at their show few days ago and i must say his voice is better now, he dont scream that much and do more clean vocals. Also drummer and guitarist are adding more vocals so he dont need to change his voice that much.
I’m a little sad Jahred doesn’t really sing the clean parts and the original gang isn’t in the band, but this still dope, Jah’s gritty Jamaican style vocals and the detuned guitars and bass makes it sound like a totally different band, suuuper dope.
@@SJ-qq6xu It’s crazy think about. You’d think that with age he’d scream less and sing more, but instead he does the opposite. Only some like him could do that.
I'd be surprised if he can still pull it off This doesn't sound too bad Surprised to even see them play so many old songs And their last album was the best in years
Says the late 40's overweight Photoshop bitch lol. That takes stamina brah. You know that shit you watch and would fall over dead trying to recreate . Punk
Kerrang never gave them any credit, in fact they hated them to the max. I have only managed to catch them live on the one occasion, supporting Skindred and yes they were indeed excellent! Long live!
@@RyanakaRhino18 Just not Kerrang's cup of tea! Don't know exactly why but everything they said was just so negative. They had a hard time from Kerrang.
you'd rather he sing the way you think it sounds best rather than him sing the song he wrote the way he wants to sing it that's so boring especially after years of singing it & you could listen to the record for that
@@moneymikeabildgaard419 Jared of course! I think he would have been awesome for Rage against the Machine! a better fit than chris cornell but you never know about how well chemistry would work.
To me I would think it wouldn't be the same singing with a bunch of different band members all the time I would rather be with the guy's that helped put this band on the map and was with me from the beginning. Just my thoughts.
+Greg Lion Yeah that album is awesome but has its place. HED PE is MUCH more than a shouty angry band. Every album is completely different, sometimes you have to remind yourself they are the same band!
Keyword Resear.ch right on bruddah. I really enjoyed their later punk influenced material, the new reggae fused sound is great too. never understood why people bail on bands when the sound changes. bands evolve, the listener evolves as well. I'm nowhere near the same person I was 10 years ago. They are playing very near my hometown soon, if I go, I'll try to get some footage and post to youtube,
+Greg Lion Still love their self-titled. Nothing is as raw as P.O.S. ... then they follow it up with Serpent Boy? The reggae influence of Evolution is amazing as well ... something I've been waiting for SINCE their self-titled CD.
The clue is the shit Jared needs to embrace his past already I loved the song lady DJ as well as shotgun love you should also check out all the songs on my page!!!
Used to love Hed pe back in the day and was lucky to see them 5 times in their early days, Bern listening to them a fair bit recently. This is truly shambolic. Just sounds awful. Fair play to jarred to keeping it going all these years but this just looks desperate now. Pub band at best
No wonder Jahred's vocals sound bad in this; he's got a bottle of alcohol in his hand while he's onstage. After all these years, he hasn't learned not to drink anything but water while singing? Things like soda and alcohol mess up your vocals big-time.
Can't get over how sad it is that musicians try and give ya'll a great, balls out, blood sweat and tears performance and you act like assholes. UNREAL.
If you want it to sound excellent then go jam the cd. JAH-RED is a fucking legend. SPeaks his mind and to be honest everything befor Only In America was bullshit made for the radio. Except for a few songs like swan dive and the like.
