My multiplayer crew has 2 healers, so I went with tiger heart and wolf aspect. Combined with Great weapons master and the extra attack you get at level 5. Ive got an amulet of Misty step. I zap right in the middle of it, absolutely bananas.
Thanks for the video, will try this build when I get Karlach. 5:45 You can drag & drop the passive from your spellbook to your main bar, no need to switch to the passives bar each time you want to toggle it.
I made a Tanky boy: 16, 14, 16, 8, 12, 8. Gold Dwarf (+1hp/lvl) Wildheart Barb with the Bear Heart. I use a shield and a melee that allows me to charge in, like a longsword. Feat: Tough (+2hp/lvl). Aspect of the Stallion. It really takes a while to die :D
Honestly, no point in playing barb at this point. Just go fighter with maneuvers and 10 dex and you can heavy armor stack with shield. Barb needs 2 handers
Bruh returning pike+tavern brawler feat +enraged throw+gloves of uninhabited kushigo+ring of flinging will turn returning pike into a homing missile😂Arnold holding M202 FLASH missile launcher meme coming up

Started Baldur's Gate 3 earlier this week and made my character based on my real DND character. He's a Half Orc barabrian named Oog Boog. Because I'm not too familiar with C-RPGs, I was intimidated and lost by the number of features this game has to offer. This video was a huge help in showing me what upgrades and skills to get and what to do in combat. Thank you!!!
I really like the Elk Wildhearth, for the consistent mobility. Also, question about the save attacker feat: how does that work when you have an advantage like in reckless attack? You do two dice rolls with two dice each? Meaning you essentially throw 4 dice and pick the highest number? That would really improve your chances at getting a crit.
If you're talking about Savage Attacker, it's not giving you bonus attack rolls. It's essentially giving you advantage on your damage rolls. So it wouldn't increase your chance of hitting a critical, but it'll generally lead to your damage rolls being more consistent and higher across the board
running around 20 str , 18 dex (with gloves) and 20 con at level 8. Maybe I shoulda grabbed feats but i sure do like them 20s. There is no reason I have hear not to wear medium armor. You get the right setup and you have 20 ac vs 14 at 18 dex barbarian.
Just depends on the set up and itemization. If you have 18 Dex and 20 Con, Then with the Barb class features that should be +4 and +5 to AC putting you at 19. There are also items, such as a set of gloves call Brace the Bulwark that if unarmored boost your AC by two so your to 21 if you had the 18 and 20 naturally of via non glove enhancements. So not sure what that would do in your case as your using the Dex boost gloves, but those are some of the examples of how it can go both ways.
great video, im playing the campaign with my 2 cousins and 1 of their gfs, full family party pretty fun. using a custom barb, sadly made it a dwarf didnt see half orc had the big dmg using berserker atm but im wondering if wildheart is better
Despite Half Orc's really good racial bonuses dwarves are my favorite for barbarian tbh. The extra hp is awesome and being short has its advantages(mainly outside of combat, in early access i found there was a ton of dwarf-specific dialogue and tiny places you can get into with ease).
Currently the game views shields as armor and will drop your barbarian bonus. Sadly i made adamantiums plate and shield and even though my AC is equivalent with the shield (Shadowheart is wearing the armor) the no crits of using the shield is huge. I found a nice strength robe. The down side is with a shield I have not found any good 1 handed weapons for Karlach.
Champion doesn't do much for your crits after level 3 and you definitely don't want to start as Champion as it's the most boring class to play on it's own. It's just click to attack and that's it, basically. Playing a pure Barbarian is more fun (and if you play well, also stronger). So you want to go Half-Orc Barbarian (Berseker) character levels 1-5 to get that sweet additional attack at level 5 asap (more attacks = more damage). Then you go 3 levels of Fighter (Champion) to improve your crit chance and to get Action Surge. Then go back to Barbarian levels again to get Brutal Critical in the end.
@@FernandoHernandez-jw4yy Yea I found it a bit boring but wanted the crit and wondered if there was a way to make it work with something else. Thanks for the info really cleared it up for me, would I be able to wear heavy armour with a setup like that or would it effect the rage ?
@@dylanbloomfield8380I think heavy armor inhibits rage. You’re best off going with medium armor & 14 Dex or going unarmored with more Dex investment. If you’re going to multiclass with Champion, it’s probably a good idea to go with either the Great Weapon Master or Dual Wielder feats. The former makes your crits hit a lot harder when they land, while the latter will give you more opportunities to crit with an extra attack each turn. Great thing about Fighter is at lv 1 you can choose the appropriate fighting style for your build.
Dex reduces the chance of enemies knocking you out of Frenzy. Also gives a decent amount of acc. Those big hits won't do much if you miss'em every second turn. And lastly, the RP aspect, detecting traps, find hidden stuff.
Since barbarians cannot wear heavy armor, dex is actually a good stat on them. I wouldn't really bump it more than 14 for base, but gear can boost this higher
@@Guilherme56964 You can use Rage, you just have to pop it prior to transforming. But yes it is lessened due to the UI restrictions when you get into Animal form and Reckless goes away.
@@Guilherme56964 It's not ideal but not a total loss either. I rarely need more than one rage per fight and with wild form of bear that should be even more so as you tank.
So i'm torn between the berzerker and the wildheart. Which one is better from a dps point of view? Also, is it better to get those abilities up on lvk 4 or the great weapon master?
Not wearing armor on a bard is a big mistake Imo. With only 12 levels you wont get good STR + dex and con. Just slap on the adamantine scale mail and go to town. The magical effects on that armor are completely broken for a melee character.
@@abdelzever9558 With the Gloves of Dex and Hag Hair sure, but you might want them on another Character, and even then, that is only 1 more AC than wearing the Scalemail, and the mail also gives you crit immunity, reduces damage taken, and gives -2 attack roll to enemies that hit you. And tehn you can spend your ASI on something else instead of going 20 Con. Or maybe you want to use teh Hair on something else. 🤷♂
man i would love it if we could take 2 or even 3 bestial hearts i think it would be super fun to use each for a different situation without having to respec
