The funny thing is this is actually more fun gameplay than most modern fps games like call of duty

Definitely one of the best combinations of mods I've seen with Brutal Doom. Also, watching the Chaingunner shoot into the air as it dies is totally badass.

Seriously, someone needs to take this and do a Corridor 7 TC! This is amazing! So much more fun to watch than new AAA games!

You should do a full game playthru with this setup. Id add a visor mod too for that extra atmosphere

Imagine a "aliens" game with this atmosphere.

I like to imagine what peoples reactions would have been if say, Final Doom looked and played like this back in the 90's. Final Doom came out before Quake. But, y'know, people were used to vanilla Doom, and there was Mortal Kombat 3 by 1995, but nothing had this level of intensity and gore combined.

If they ever successfully make a DOOM movie, this should be used as a guideline!

Whatever they did to make the chaingun sound like that. Absolutely perfect. I've never been more terrified of hearing that go off from that first chaingunner in the entrance. It is horrifying.

god this is amazing. its incredible how doom has literally stood the test of time. add a visor mod to this and you have perfection.

Man the guns look and sound so beefy in this mod. I wish more FPS games had weapons that felt this masculine.

Why were you able to shine your flashlight on the zombies right at the start without them noticing? That's weird because both the BDBE flashlight and the D64ifier flashlight would(should) have alerted them. Are you using something different for the flashlight?

Watching this with a set of Skull Candy Skull Crushers on with the bass on max makes this an entire experience.

The glory kill system does take away from the experience in my opinion. It just doesn't look very good.

But I think you must see Baron of Hell in BDBE. Unstoppable killing machine). About speed in mod. Open Fatum options and enable Endurance, Unstoppable and Stabilizer game mods - you will get a close classic Doom movement) Yes, need delete by default head bobbing and reduced movement speed which depends on the amount of armor. But laziness. So just always enable Stabilizer and Endurance game mode. Very soon will be release update v3.36.

I think I have all the mods but I can't get the level like you show here. Sure I have the first level and it's pretty hard and awesome looking with Brutal Doom, but I don't have the have the many extra secrets and bosses shown here. I'm running Brutal Doom with the Doom 2 wads and the Chaos map. Do I need to do something to trigger all the extra content?

I played Brutal like 3 years ago, never tried Black. I remember the rifle having a slower rate of fire and beefier SFX along with notable recoil. I loved it. Does black have an easy option to use the older Brutal Doom rifle, or would I just be shuffling some files around to make that happen?

What mod packs of D64ifier are you using with this? I'm mostly hearing Aubrey Hodges score. Also hearing a lot of doom 3 weapon/monster/environment sounds as well. But it also sounds like there's some Doom64 weapon/environment sounds too. Did you use any Doom 3 sound mods for this, or does BDB Edition naturally come with pk3 sound files that sample Doom 3? Would love to hear back from you

The darkness and low visibility really add to the creepiness of it. The gamma is turned up too much in vanilla Doom. Some mod players jack up the gamma too much also and it loses the creepiness and "atmosphere" of failed space outposts and Hell caverns.

At least in this game you get more fun in it than say like killing floor 2 without having enemies spawning in behind you all the time graping you or blocking you or even when you reloading your gun spawning in grabbing you from behind. The game seems to wait for you to get stuck all the time to spawn in more enemies' when there wasn't hardly any enemies around you then all of a sudden there 5 or 6 more it just ruins the enjoyment of the game as your always looking behind you and how slow the weapons reloading is and underpowered they all are. The classic doom will always be my best game ever.
