Lmao I did that a couple weeks ago when I saw a stock yellow s2k. I would love to own 2 cars a 90s Mazda miata mx5 as my daily and my childhood car a 01 s2k with a vtech engine with a turbo. I love the hiss sound.
DISCLAIMER: I am not saying this car is slow!! This is what they mean when they say it's more fun to drive a slow car fast than it is to drive a fast car slow. This looks fun as hell, driving at what appears to be an 8/10 send on the highway, but not driving like a complete lunatic and putting yourself and others at risk. 430-440 some HP at the wheels ain't no joke in such a lightweight car. Congrats on everything bro, very well put together car all around.
I swear dude, watching your video put a smile on my face. A few years back before covid was a thing, I took a trip to Cali LA. And I rented an S2000 for the first time. And I swear, they were not joking when they said “this car will put a smile on your face” Dude, hands down best car I’ve ever driven. I wish I could drive that thing one more time🤙🏼 Awesome vid bro, I will definitely subscribe!!
Man this is such a fun video bro!! It makes me wanna learn manual now when I thought I hated how it rides & it makes me dizzy 😅 I thought I liked the smooth ride of an auto lol
@@Benscars Yea watching your S2000 vids & other videos. I think im sold now for manual especially how S2000’s red line is at 9000 lol. I think that would be super fun to drive & I ran into a video saying it’s easy to learn manual in an S2000 also
Manuals drive just as smooth as autos lol you just don’t know how to drive if you “hate” the way manuals drive, you suck at driving standard. With practice anyone can learn how to operate a manual vehicle smoothly. Once u learn it becomes second nature. Never has anyone of my passengers Ever told me my driving was jerky or un-smooth it doesn’t start that way but after some practice if my passenger was blindfolded they wouldn’t even be able to tell they were being driven in a standard vehicle. Not to mention once you’ve learned it makes the driving experience 100x better than an auto just no comparison.
This video ain’t helping me not want to boost my AP1. Sounds sick man how’s the rear end handle with the extra power? My car tends to be tail happy so I can’t imagine how it’ll react with an extra 200 hp.
@@Benscars personally going for an all motor track build. Would you say the bushings are worth it considering im only going to be making 230-240 to the wheels. Read on some forums that bushings make the car feel better.
@Eddie Blair: Documenting the Dark Side of Reality I had the same kit, it's not the most reliable. Also, boosting the s2k generally completely changes the characteristics of the vehicle.
Damn that shit sounds healthy AF, it whines so loud it’s unreal - I bet it’s a blast to drive for sure Well done 👍🏻 man, I want a Kraftwerks kit one day for my Si
Good stuff bro... I was waiting for the all out through 6th, but you kept letting off in fifth! So next time you have to keep going. Don't let off till you redline 6th! keep going. PS you cant drive an S2K and have a Chevy on the wall. take that Camaro poster off the wall now lol
Thanks Ben, you have pushed me to finally getting an s2000 myself, my name is also Ben... And you got a new subscriber !! Plans to supercharge mine as well ...
@@jordannmejia loving it so far, best car i have ever had and will for sure never sell it! Even had to daily drive it for a while. Only problem is it gets all the attention. I need to get a garage asap.
You got a dope ride my guy she looks hella clean I would love to see u whip up some doughnuts for us !!!! And u should tint your windshield to just to look even better
How is the car doing now bro? Any problems so far? I just did my valve adjustment and compression test today. My motor is strong! 90% on getting a super charger right now
It’s kinda a mix of things I’ve talked about it in previous videos but it’s j’s racing front fender and industry garage rear over fenders and u should def boost haha
Cool car I had a rotrex supercharger on my EP3 Type R some years ago. Good kit. I live in the UK where the roads are super tight, they twist and turn constantly. Blind bends, undulating, off camber with a damp corner apex. The UK has fas cars but they're set up for handling with great brakes. I grew up where the fun came in the corners and handling. Your videos are based on driving fast in a straight line. Yawn. No skill required. No handling setup. The car does what it does. On a vast, straight, open road, a lot of bhp soon becomes boring. You get used to it. Theres no challenge. Sorry there is a challenge. Change gear fast and keep the car pointing forwards. Yawn. Having the ability to drive along tight, narrow roads, on the brakes, off the power, change gear, on the power , off the brakes, feeling the car underneath you. That's where it's at. It takes skill and precision. A well set up 300bhp car can destroy a 600bhp car when driving is the name of the game. Blasting in a straight line is all about ultimate power. Boring!
What exhaust setup do you have? I had a invidia single with a test pipe on my 01 ap1 that was a little too much. I like the sound of yours better for sure.
I fuck around in my 7 second GTR or DD my tesla plaid but when I see a sick S2k I slow down to appreciate the sound and remember the good ol days. So many great memories in that S2k in my early 20’s. Wish they kept making them.
sounds so fucking good! making me want to supercharge my ap1. I havent driven it in so long since ive been into offroading with my jeep rubicon but now imma have to get my s2k registered again and build that shit haha
Sounds the belt too tight, makesure loose the belt tension a little before it will snapped on you. I have the 92 blower setup at 475whp for almost 2 yrs.
Man I really started to get a liking & started dreaming about having an S2000 around October 2021 haha. Although ya boi still gotta learn to drive a manual lol. Quick question for anyone out there… when youre going really fast in manual car & you wanna slow down. How would you slow down while in gear? Would you break a lil’ & slowly step on the clutch? Ty
There’s several things you could do, the easiest way or let’s say u just learned u can put the car in neutral and slow down or just put the clutch and brakes in. But ur supposed to down shift, even tho when normally rev matching u have to let off the brake but if you heel and toe u can be on the brakes the whole time.
@@Benscars Yessir! I’m actually starting to pick it up watching your vids & other people’s vids driving. I know heel toe is advanced doe haha. I think i’d be more comfortable putting the clutch in & in 1st gear
God damn you made feel like I’m driving I’m over here trying to see where the cops at!!😂😂‼️ we need to go out for a drive bro nice drive made me feel connected!!
the start up is not healthy at all, the turn over sounds very weak and slow, even with the aftermarket ecu , i have the aem v2 and the turn over is very fast but still have to wait about a 1 sec longer on start up. not sure if its your battery, starter or the tune.
