Personally I believe he would say the same thing now if asked about it. That hand lossed him the tourney most likely too. A nice riv bet for 20% of the other guys stack would have given him all the information he could need to MAYBE find a fold

Yeah I like betting small and folding to a shove on that run out leaving more hands open to calling you, then again it would be a hard fold to make

Just realized it's because the small blind was super short stacked. Implied odds become lower and it'd be hard to realize equity. SB range is also pretty Qx heavy. Even if Lex hit, SB could have shoved flop leaving him to make a decision with the stronger ranged PFR behind. I think the flop that happened is a perfect example; if SB shoved on that AA3 board you don't love your life with a flush draw on a paired board with someone left to act. I guess the revised question would be: is that normally a call for you if SB had 20bb?

Why terrible? He's keeping all of his bluffs in Lexs range, and postflop eff SPR is 1.5 . He balances his 3bet call range and he's only losing value(not always) from Ax broadways, which he is blocking. In that particular spot Lex will have wild 3bet range, so why his flat is bad? Call on river was bad, not flat.

Miłosz C. You can use all those stastistics and theorize all you want but aces have a magical way of getting cracked pretty often and i watch alotttttt of pros on RU-vid and I don't think I've ever seen someone try to trap they just want to rip it in agll the way preflop. No other way to play it

Lex would have folded and the guy in second place would still be in with plenty of blinds. You guys try to be so damn theoretical but sometimes you just gotta look at shit for the way it actually went instead of paying mind to all the what ifs
