Man I’d be just praying and begging god let me see a good ending from this. Well I hadn’t finished the video and let me say after seeing that eye gauging man did it hurt to watch. I felt terrible and honestly thanks to you for talking after, it was a big shock. Hearing you bring up the whole how can it be used as defense unnerved me. This is gladiator days bs and honestly whoever made or enjoys this crap is a psychopath.

That’s the reality of real combat, but has no place in sports. Not a good way to have longevity in a sport

When you try to knock each other out on concret it is already to the death, thats why i dont watch this stuff. The eye gouge really doesnt make that much off a difference within those rules. It is already stupidly dangerous for no reason and while it may be more "enjoyable" to watch i seriously doubt dropping bombs from mount and bouncing the guys head off the floor would have been the "saver" alternative for the fighter.

Also, the guy who lost could just as easily have gouged his opponent's eyes when he had mount earlier in the fight. It's like they were fighting by different rulesets. Awful.

It can't be a fair fight if there's biting and eye gauging allowed because both fighters will literally only use those weapons and the sport will evolve into a CLINCH combat simulator of who can get the first eye raked out or bite on the neck... At that point why not just bring a gun and call it survival of the fittest instead of King of the streets? I don't have a problem with the pavement, bare knuckle, ECT. (Although you should never agree to an organized event like this) But plucking out someone's eye or biting off someone's fingers is something a fighter cannot come back from. Not to mention this could potentially be lethal if the opponent bites the neck like I said.

@@letstalkcaliber704seriously. The problem with rule sets like these is that you’ll soon only get people that gouge eyes as it’s easy and acceptable. I wouldn’t be surprised if the eye gouger in this fight ends up with a missing eye in the next one.

@@zozole7164 don't give a shit that it happened. Like you said they both agreed to the rule set. Kind of cool to see someone actually go for the eyes in a real fight. It kinda disproves the McDojo bs you see passed around by a lot of guys because a fighter tried to go the eyes when striking and totally missed and going for the eyes only became effect when the fighter ready had gained control. In anycase I'm just agreeing that it's a stupid to have a sport with it because the sport will never have longevity. Meanwhile power slap is a thing so wtf do I know.

It made me uncomfortable myself but considering the cirumstances is the eye gouge really what crosses the line? I mean they fight on concrete which makes every ko, slam or fall potentially leathal and is raining down bombs from mount and bouncing the guyes head off the floor really the better alternative to pushing fingers into his eyes?
