Brutal revenge of Floyd Mayweather in 2011 against Victor Ortiz. Ortiz made a foul and in response Mayweather retaliated with sucker punch in the bout. by Florid Miston #Shorts #Boxing
The dude was an ass but the ref didn’t start the fight again, wasn’t even looking, Ortiz was a dirty fighter but Floyd is even a bigger dirtier fighter
That was Ortiz’s 4th intentional headbutt. Ortiz acting like it was an accident. Joe Cortez gave the instruction to resume fighting and Ortiz got what was coming to him.
@@Claude-sq2fyno he's not...everyone has just been in his pocket....he actually even lost to delohoya....jrs..dad even said that he lost ..and delohoya..wasnt great he was good...not greatl.
No, the rules do matter, Floyd never broke the rules in that fight. The ref waved then in. ZAB Juda hit Floyd low then on the back of the head. Floyd didn't retaliate he stayed focused and won the fight with skill. To say rules did not matter implies Floyd did wrong after Victor did wrong which is no the case.
Sorry, I dislike Floyd, but this is still one of the most deserved "fuck around and find out" moments I have ever seen. Ortiz deserved every bit of that
@@KeepaBoy6 his persona, his attitude, and his actions. Pretty simple really. Same reason I don't like Jon Jones. Think he's a beast as a fighter, but he's a pretty shit person
@@KeepaBoy6 yeah I got to agree with Corbin here, Floyd Mayweather as a fighter may be good, I guess.... I'm a Tyson fan myself but to each their own.... but Floyd, his attitude, narcissistic personality and just all around a "All eyes on me" type a guy. He's a entertainment goof to me ,, nothing more nothing less. Okay maybe less...
@@KeepaBoy6 Well when it comes to today's generation and how today's generation is so ridiculous and everybody's so full of themselves on social media and everything these days, yeah he is an entertainment narcissistic goof, makes a lot of money for fake fights like Jake Paul, boxing is fake and the matches are set up for win or defeat. Everything is fake these days. So yeah 99.9% of the population of this generation is narcissistic as it is, it's in your DNA if you follow today's generation, just cotton balls and narcissists putting on a fake show and getting actual money for the bullshit when back then you actually had to have talent and you had to really work to make it. Back to Floyd, he's exactly like today's generation. And I can tell by your spelling and "grammar" I will say that you don't seem to be any older than 15-20, so you're probably one of those 99% that's too far up your ass to see what's real, but it's okay it's not your fault you're stupid... It was the millennium. Lol. Let me guess, are you Pro vaccine too? You down with all this covid-19 shit, or are you someone woke like me that knows it's all a game, more fakery, but people like you form an opinion before even studying on it. Lulzzz. I wouldn't even comment back, I'm done with you. You're too stupid to comprehend.
@@mareanie5998 LOL I bet Ortiz looks back at this footage and shakes his head in shame for headbutting Floyd... Then he quietly cringes in silence when he watches himself get knocked out.
@@edwincgov I agree with your original comment, Mayweather didnt deserve that, Ortiz did. But neither of those moves were a display of boxing skill of any kind lets be honest.
@@rickyjohnson5991 yeah I'm not a big respecter of Mayweather or his past domestic relationships with women but as far as Boxing He's definitely is pound for pound one of the best boxers in the game. Now he's not pound for pound one of the best fighters in the game but he's definitely pound for pound one of the best boxers!!
“Protect yourself at all times” is said by every referee in every boxing match. I think Floyd is a douche for a ton of reasons, however, he was well within the rules to do this.
@@yiayang3403 why should he give someone that headbutted him intentionally time to reach? Are you dumb?? Would you give someone that opportunity?(stop lying you’d be the next red hulk after that don’t even cap I don’t wanna hear it)
Response to headbutts: Mike Tyson: bite ear Floyd: sucker punch Zelenoff: fist bumps and tells opponent he'll knock him out 69 seconds into the 8th round
@@jeffreyscottsgames9308 Jeff, this isn't a hard question to answer. Because he was sick of Ortiz' dirty shit. Ortiz was hugging, Mayweather was punching. You know Ortiz' boxing license was revoked and he was fined $100k after the fight, right? You got played by Ortiz' crybaby act bud. You lose, Jeffthenonboxingguy.
The sucker punch isn't the problem here though. Its the ref counting the cheap shots and resulting knock down during a timeout that is a problem. It should have been a double DQ being they both committed fouls and the fight was unable to continue. Counting this as a win for either fighter is bad for boxing and makes the sport look all the more rigged. Fans don't pay and watch to see this kind of outcome. Neither fighter should have been paid a penny for this BS.
@@michaelmoody3737 This is why you shouldn't comment when you don't know what you're talking about. That punch was perfectly legal because the ref restarted the fight. As soon as the ref restarted the fight, he looked at the time keeper to make sure he started the clock and that's when Floyd landed the punch. Go watch the fight and get back to me, it's right here on RU-vid.
@@natturnerlearner167 let's assume you're right and it was indeed a legal couple punches. Are you really on Floyd's D so hard you would celebrate a sucker punch win? It's funny but it's not good boxing kind of like all of Floyd's fights. He's fast and elusive but not fun to watch.
They call Floyd a “dirty fighter” for punching Ortiz but gloss over the fact that Ortiz did the dirtiest wit that headbut and deserved getting KOed and it wasn’t a “sucker punch” it was a hook lol
@@tigershinobi1844 agreed “sucker punch” is when the other guy doesn’t know or you deceive him ….Ortiz knew he was in a fight and failed to protect himself two very different situations being sucker punched and just standing there with your face open
@@IhaveCripplingAdhd99 that was an irrational move in a moment of desperation, Mayweather took advantage of his opponent during their hug. The fight was meant to be over, but he cheated.

@Demarcus Floyd was elbowing him that whole match, you can see Floyd’s elbow hit Ortiz right before Ortiz headbutts him. I’d be pissed too if I was boxing and getting elbowed the whole match but the ref never called it.
Not sure why everyone wants to make this fair or tries to "feel" good or bad or in a certain way about this. As long as the round is going, you fight by the rules. Ortiz was the only one breaking them.
Floyd has done MULTIPLE dirty moves in bouts and as usual the Ref “doesn’t see it”. Even though Victor headbutted him, Floyd didn’t even wait until the Ref restarted them before getting revenge. It wasn’t even an attempt to make it look like it was an accident. Floyd, Victor, and Marcos are all assholes and a disgrace to Boxing
Regardless of what anyone thinks about Floyd, the ref did a shitty job, he hadn’t clearly unpaused the fight and was talking to the official outside the ring
The fight was paused. That's why Ortiz was looking to the ref and not defending when Floyd threw the next punch. This video doesn't accurately show the time lapse either. The ref never clearly restarted.
@@migueldiaz9754 I don’t really know much about boxing rules but it was a time out so why tf would that count as a knock down and the ref start counting
@@hasdaboss well I actually saw the full fight and they took a break after the head butt, then the ref called the march back on. He turned his back for a little bit, then Ortiz tried to fist bump Floyd. Floyd took advantage of this and knocked him. While you can argue it was unethical to do this, it was more unethical to start head butting just because your punches weren’t landing.
@@wesleystolz4657 Floyd wasn't dirty in this case. Dude was throwing headbutts then tried to hug Floyd. Floyd literally says "Fk You" and dropped him with legal punches.
Yep, Ortiz was a dirty fighter.. People got mad at Mayweather because of this fight. Boxing rules say "Protect Yourself At All Times".. There was nothing wrong with that 2 punch knock out!. Mayweather didn't know Ortiz chin was that weak. Mayweather was just trying to get back at Ortiz... Bravo, Mayweather......
@@BH-85 hitting an opponent whos trying to redeem his wrong with some good sportmenship is dirty. Don't get me wrong he 100% deserved but still sucker punching is a dirty move

Not a Mayweather fan at all but gotta respect the man and his achievements, in this specific situation I'm on Mayweather's side. Cheap headbutt was countered with "cheap shot", you get what you give in life. And 10 extra points for Mayweather teaching the kid a life lesson.
Too many fixed fights and now he's fixing his fighters fights just look at how he had to speak FOR tank after that controversial decision But casuals who never stepped in a boxing ring in their life wanna always make it about race and call you racist.
But boxing is boit sportsman ship and fair fighting or genuine respect to one another that was so cheap anyone could get knocked out with free punches to the face
Man Jose was head buddin him the whole time. What may weather did was legal asf. They tapped gloves. Showing that both sides were good to continue. Jose was slacking and may weather even gave him enough time to respond after the initial punch. That’s where the saying “keep yourself protected at all times comes from”
I don't care for Floyd for many reasons but I had not seen the fight or footage of the headbutt until now before Floyd punched him....well now I see why...can't blame him anymore.
I get this video was meant to troll, but this was about as veteran a move as it gets. Boxer gets overtly dirty. Floyd made sure ref 100% clearly signaled to fight again. Floyd let him try to embrace even after ref said fight with his guard up. He didn’t pretend to embrace but he certainly didn’t stop it haha used that momentary lack of judgement against his opponent and returned the favor albeit not comparable as Floyd’s action were 100% legal
Ref “Protect Yourself at all times” The bell never range and the ref never called for a stoppage. Victor also threw 2 illegal blows before the headbutt.

Now I'm not a Mayweather fan at all but the fact that people say Floyd is a dirty fighter after Ortiz HEADBUTTED him baffles me, like they real life so much hatred for this man
Protect yourself at all times during the FIGHT. The ref called break therefore the fight had stopped. Protect yourself at all times means if during the FIGHT you are being beaten and not protecting yourself the ref stops the fight for your own well being. It doesnt mean you can sucker punch the opponent. Thats why refs take away points which justifies the illegal move.
I wanna say “play stupid games win stupid prizes” reason being, Ortiz initiated a dirty trick and Mayweather hit him right back with one of his own. Ortiz basically made it okay to start doing dirty tactics.
@@IhaveCripplingAdhd99 the video says intentionally not accidental but if Ortiz claimed accident that's dumb cause that means it's s reflex cause you train it

I watched that fight and Mayweather acknowledged Ortiz's apology said let's go and Ortiz continued apologizin and hugged Mayweather before Mayweather dropped him. It wasn't a suckered punch
if you watch the fight you'll hear the referee tell ringside "time in" and wave them together to fight, meaning the clock is now running and the fight has resumed. Cortez not looking at the fighters doesn't change that. It was a legal and intelligent move against a fighter who headbutt him MULTIPLE times that fight

Let me add I watched alot of boxing and never seen a flying headbutt like that and we all know Floyd really could have inflicted much more too if he wanted to...
That’s one of my favorite fights, they had already dapped before Ortiz tried to touch up again. That knock out was legit. The bad part is Ortiz was in the best shape I had ever seen him show up to fight.
What round did Floyd K.O him? And if it kept going normally, did you see Ortiz winning by KO or decision? Or was it Floyds win from the start? Just want to know the whole story 😁
@@DefeatLust floyd was whooping him all night . That’s the reason he head butted him . He knew he was at his best and still couldn’t beat floyd while Floyd was playing around with him
@@recklezz7149 rs. I would imagine having a guy in the corner whilst throwing your best combination at him, not only does he dip and dodge all of your punches he puts his gloves on both of your shoulders, looks you in the eye and grins at you! I imagine that would be frustrating and could make a less mentally prepared fighter lose his composure. 😂😂😂😂
@@DefeatLust 4th round, I think Ortiz was in good enough shape to fight all out for 12 rounds. I think Ortiz was a tough fighter and I loved his story; how he came from nothing with absent parents and found a way to keep him and his brother together (that shit is literally heart warming). Anyway, Floyd told everyone leading up to the fight that “everyone is game, until they get under those lights.” And true enough, Ortiz lost his focus. They were both fighting at a relatively clean and quick pace up to that point. Ortiz fouled Mayweather, and Floyd got him back in a real petty but legal and lethal fashion. Joe Cortez, one of the greatest referees looked shocked, but knew the punch was legit and started the count. Beautiful fight up until that point, a lot of action and drama.
But it's a sport. It's like if you were playing paintball and someone nailed you in the head when they weren't supposed to. Then you waited until after the game and shot them in the back. One's taking a game too far, and the other is seeking to harm the person outside of the game.
@@Ari-hc1vr okay but if you miss all shots in paintball because you suck, you don't just get to use a shotgun or a bazooka out of frustration on your own lack of skill. I don't think your argument holds up. That's as much cheating, as sucker punching someone in boxing, and the head butt would prove much more dangerous than a sucker punch straight to the face.
@@bigwagon6727 that’s how your kid gets bullied. If someone pushes you, you push back, hell, punch them in the jaw. You have every right to do so as they started it. For the peoples knowledge, during the whole build up to the fight Ortiz made himself out to be the good guy and innocent person that wouldn’t hurt a fly, but during the fight it was noted after they reviewed the footage about Ortiz’s dirty/cheap way of fighting and multiple subtle attempts at head butting and collisions when clenched, during the fight and the only one called during the fight was the most blatant one which you saw, and after the fighters was separated was when the ref begun the fight before Ortiz apologized so Floyd’s punch’s on him where completely legal, and note that after the fight Ortiz once again sought out to the media about how he was so innocent but after the footage was later reviewed by the Nevada safety commission they suspended Ortiz’s boxing license for some time and fined him, so all in all he got what he deserved
This was a much longer and more awkward scene. Ortiz and May touched gloves, talked, & hugged it out. Cortez resumed the fight, but Ortiz was still trying to hug it out for like the second or third time. May clearly hit him when he wasnt ready, but Ortiz should have been ready. Ortiz was mad disrespectful before the fight and was absolutely fighting dirty. May owed him no respect at that point.
Could’ve sworn that’s what happened I watched that fight and Floyd didn’t have to hug him it isn’t in the rules to do so… it was a little unsportsmanlike but it’s no rule saying we have to hug after break plus the clock had stated no point in huggin the time away
I remember Ortiz saying "He couldn't crack an egg with his punch", referring to Mayweather's power. Yet, Mayweather had enough power to hit Ortiz here and Ortiz wasn't able to get up to beat the count, and he looked stunned by his power.
He had been sucker punched to set up that hit. Not really the same as a legit boxing punch. It's a way to knock someone out without being the most powerful puncher.
What count?? If timeout was called like stated in this video how is he counting...yes I know he was counting at end but in saying if timeout was called then why's dude counting...makes absolutely no sense whatsoever
