Wanna know more about MCND, here's a full guide about them: ru-vid.com/video/%D0%B2%D0%B8%D0%B4%D0%B5%D0%BE-jBJltF8NCG8.html Omg shout out to all the Heeseung stans who are flooding this video 💜💜💙💙
hey i wanted to ask if you could give recommendations on what stages to watch for each group? everytime i watch your stage presence video i wonder about it and i guess you would be the expert. btw love your videos
Hwang Hyunjin literally wows everyone each time he's on stage & he keeps on improving. Every Pro Dancers reaction video to Straykids that i've watched actually paused & replay during Hyunjin parts without fail & asking who is this guy. He stands out, but in a good way.
Straykids stage presence is the best even if I'm a multistan especially of 4th gen but Straykids literally just hits hard. Txt's dance look smooth and effortless, while Enhypen goes hard effortlessly but idk why skz's performance makes me vibe with them even if sometimes the song isn't that good.
Yeah like Cheryl said they're master of understanding the assignment. Tho I'm not fond of Victory Song, they managed to cement it with their superb MAMA performance. For every performances they brings different energy (I lost count how many unique Thunderous stage they slapped on my face those were crazy especially the Christmas version)
Thank you for the appreciation for Taehyun!! He's my bias in TXT and the thing that always draws me to him in his performances is the love that he has for singing. When Tae performs you can see the love in his eyes and smile for his craft. And his dancing is nothing to sneeze at 😅
Honestly, not surprised at all that Hwang Hyunjin is N1 of this ranking, I'm not a kpop fan I'm a casual listener and I don't like majority of the content. BUT Hyunjin is another level, I enjoy every single performance, every single solo, Fancam. He nails it, he pulls you in and you can't look away. Someone very unique even in such overfilled with talented industry as Kpop. Thanks for your hard work, it was very interesting to watch
Yes, Stray Kids stage presence is on another level. I don't know why some people say their songs aren't good but for me they are top tier. Did you hear Blueprint, Mixtape OH, On track, Scars, Silent cry, 24 to 25, grow up, MIA, Astronaut? 90% of their songs are very bright & can give a sad person instant boost of happiness. When I feel sad bcz of a bad day I listen to their songs & it does the magic for me
Honestly I can understand if some people just have different tastes in music, even as a stay I can't possibly like every single song of theirs but it's really annoying when they are unnecessarily rude about it like if you don't like their music just don't listen?
Ikr, what I noticed is that they manage to make noise music or oddly specific sounds that might sound annoying actually work really well in their songs. Also they serve such a wide range of different genres in their music and almost every song I've heard of them made me feel really strong emotions that correspond with the meaning of it even if I don't know the meaning of the lyrics. You can tell that the music they make is genuine and close to their hearts and that's what makes it so strong. Of course, not everyone is going to like their music, but they deserve all the respect for their craft.
I agree a lot, specially heeseung, his facial expressions is very detailed and precise,i actually thought he is not a rookie when i first saw his fancam. He is that one performer that can slay all type of concepts, and also i appreciate the hardwork for this analysis,i enjoyed it
I was so proud to see 3racha at top 10 together with Hyunjin! I don’t stan any of the other groups but I did follow MCND when CRUSH was relatively new but didn’t have the time to listen to their whole discography or their other performances because I was too busy but I think I might want to rediscover them and maybe i’ll like them since they have a lot to offer
There is just something about Heeseung like he has me floored every time he performs because he looks so cool and charismatic, like my eyes never leave him, his every move, the details and he makes it look so effortless .......dang
i can't believe you single-handedly roasted the stage presence of ALL my biases in these groups...but I LOVED IT! amazing job as always, cheryl! i can see how much work and thought this took. though soobin and sunghoon >>>>
Looking at Sunghoon’s fancams recently I think he’s one of the most improved idols in the 4th generation, his confidence and dance skills improved tremendously. He’s so much more comfortable with his stage presence. Love him.
Heeseung REALLY deserve every praises in the world. He is a true performers. I really enjoy every fancam of him. He attracts a lot of nonstan and I understand why :D
OMG LITERALLY CANNOT WAIT, JUST STARTED WATCHING i actually enjoy enhypen stages a lot mainly because they have really cool choreos and maybe their visuals play a part but their performances are just so enjoyable
@@Aetherspace_you are embarrassing, go and check the comments in the dance practice of good boy gone bad and opening sequence because beomgyu overshadowed the members, he was the most praised dancer in txt in 2022 and 2023, his stage presence was the most praised in many stages and he owned every era according to votes even though he has the least lines and Knetizen praised his stage presence, he was the most viewed member in a lot of stages and he is was the biggest stan attractor, he attracted fans to kpop, and he attracted fans to txt, edit your comment, you don't even know his impact
StrayKids really is a group where they deserve all the attention. Their stage presence is explosive, they write all the songs and knowing that of all the groups in the company they were the only one that the leader himself chose one by one... that made me curious and led me to know more about them. I've actually never heard of a group where the leader simply gathered the trainees he wanted. Many fans of other groups criticize them because they have the creative freedom that no other JYP group ever had. JYP himself said that it was an experiment that worked because Bangchan had complete freedom and has complete control of the group. I like to follow StrayKids because I want to know how far under Bangchan's leadership they can go and if they continue to be so successful and have so many achievements it could open new doors and maybe the next JYP groups could have more freedom too. But it's ridiculous to see that even for that they get hate
I knew Hyunjin would be first on your list. It's undeniable. His presence on stage is powerful yet etherial. It's so captivating to see him in his element. I think he was born to perform. He's a natural star who puts in the time, work, and practice to elevate himself every comeback. He performs at 100% in every stage. I have never seen him not be sensational on stage. That mixed with his visuals and perfectly timed facial expressions make him the best performer of gen 4. Maybe even in the industry period soon enough.
I actually stanned enhypen because of heeseung. I ignored them at first but he caught my eye in a fever performance video. I knew all the other members except for him and I was like: who is he? He indeed has a special aura and his gaze pierces through the screen into hearts 🔥
Here because of our best boys ENHYPEN and most especially for our ACE, our bambi Heeseung who deserves this kind of praise and acknowledgement on everything that he's been doing. 🥺 I hope he'll be able to watch and hear this 🙏
@@irenesara455 no lo aprecian por que le tiene envidia... Es muy bueno en todo, ves como aprecian su talento personas q no son "engene"! Mientras q las "enegenes" quieren q su fav sea el mejor Hee sigue sobresaliendo donde sea!
Me who has TxT members' stage presence as one of my favourite in k-pop : *sips tea* In all seriousness, i like this list, skz and mcnd do have really good stage presence that makes even some of their bad songs enjoyable to watch.
as someone who got into enhypen exclusively because of niki fancams i can tell you (beyond the fact that yeah, the kid does have a very pretty face lol) that the main reason i watch him has less to do with his stage presence and everything to do with his dancing. if we were talking purely on dance ability only, niki has no discernible technical flaws-perfect body lines, impeccable timing, great fluidity between head, torso and legs, phenomenal control of dynamics, and good isolations when needed. his musicality could probably be better but that's a lifelong skill to gain as a dancer and no one stops getting better at that. tbh i don't think there's been a dancer as technically precise as niki from debut since taemin, so i can fully understand why his fancams get so many views. watching him dance is like watching blue fire burn. heeseung on the other hand, is like watching a bonfire; his dancing might have some technical flaws, but he has the best musicality in the group imo which i believe helps translate into his stage presence (i've actually noticed that most of the ppl within the upper end of your stage presence ranking tend to have great musicality even if they aren't the technical best dancer of the group)
heeseung was one of the best particepent during I-LAND I noticed him since episode one he's such a talented performer and just understands the assignment very well
Enhypen has something special for me tho and I don't know what exactly is...like I madly love them, their choreographies and songs. They dragged me into kpop so they're THAT group for me :')
same, I've been to kpop since 2nd gen(bigbang, 2ne1, gg,sistar & etc.) and 3rd gen(exo, bts, twice,bp &etc.) but enhypen really hits different! You can literally relate to all of them as a genz and they makes me want to buy their album (even tho I stan so many kpopgroup I didn't have this feeling before.)! They really like a breath of fresh air in todays kpop! -filo engene!!
Heeseung's stage presence is insane. I mean he fits every single concepts. His dance, expression, masculine, angerness, cuteness or whatever is he killed the shit out it.
I have followed Enhypen since beginning so I have seen great improvement in their stages performances over time. Heeseung is indeed one of the best performer in fourth gen.
its amazes me how enhypen is a one year old group, they are insane in 2-3 years they will be in the greatest list i have no doubt to add more: yall have to understand all other groups had pre debut time to train as a group amd develop outside of the stages, enhypen had 2 months and thats it, their group chrmistry is not even full devoloped yet THEY ARE INSANE
Skz also debuted with a show, a lot of them met each other in the show, they had the same time to train as a group sooo Edit: btw, no hate to you, your opinion or enhypen (I like their songs) but yeah, they're not the only ones with little time to train as a group. I think a lot of groups that came from survival shows have little time to really get to know each othe when they get to debut
@@grachi0matilda skz is starting their 5th year tho..... they were not the skz they are today in their debut year can i praise how Fast enha took to already look amazing?
I actually completely forgot about that! LookIng at the likes of skz and twice who were also formed in a survival show and have phenomenal group chemistry now, I am so excited for enha’s development in a few years.
Stray kids have a kind of goofy energetic and loving chemistry that GOT7 had which is what draws me to them not to mention their incredible performance skills!
Despite Soobin being my bias, Beomgyu is the member I enjoy watching the most for the reasons you said. He makes me feel centered when I watch them. I enjoyed this and it didn't tell me anything I haven't noticed about them. Still in terms if performances I love them the most.
Wow !! 👏👏👏 I agree with everything !!! First place for Hyunjin is well deserved !! It is a whole experience to watch his fancams, almost mesmerizing . 😊
I completely agree with kais criticism, i automatically Knew that yeonjun would score high but top 3 omg. Also congrats to hyunjin! (Love your editing btw)
I honestly didn't really expect that you would give heeseung a higher ranking bcs yk, many engenes discredit his talent. Glad someone who knows his capability. Thank you sm for making this video
in case anyone is curious, heeseung himself has said that the only 3 fancams someone needs to watch in order to become his fan are his blessed-cursed, fever and legend of kpop fancams lol. his confidence in himself really shows when he performs!
no bc i agree so much ab stray kids, they actually comeback even way better every comeback and its fucking insane they never disappoint lmao they hold such a power as a team
Finally an appreciation for Jungwon’s stage presence, I thought I was the only one who noticed his big change on stage presence in blessed-cursed era, he really improved a lot. By the way YASSSS Heeseung’s stage presence is soooo good
HEESEUNG's charisma on stage is overflowing, there's really something abt this kid that you can't explain that you can't take ur eyes off him in every performance
Finally someone talking about heeseung. He is indeed special. His gaze pierces through the screen into the heart. Not to mention his talents in singing and dancing
I love this essay video, you've explained it very well :) For me, enhypen dancing really shines, all of them are amazing dancers and that's what makes me enjoy their performances so much. I was so obsessed with their end of the year performances, mind-blowing: the sync, movements, stage presence, breaks and solos WOW it didn't matter that I had to wake up at 3:00 am to watch them, It was totally worth it. I appreciate it even more cuz they're just 1yo, I'm so excited to see how far they can go
Go enhypen!!!! They have one of the best discographies in 4th gen for sure.... I cant believe how much they have grown...and I am so surprised how popular they have become... like sooo many irls talk about them now and they keep saying that they are obsessed with enhypen's music... that makes me soo soo proud. Like a lot of them do stan other groups too, but they keep saying that they are loving enhypen these days... also wanted to add that, ppl on twt can keep undermining enhypen and their impact as much as they want just to praise and hype their idols, but thts not gonna stop enhypen from shining! They are the 4th gen hot icon!!! And I am soo proud of them.
@@yeonyou3944 I WANT TO LITERALLY YELL THIS OUT OF MY WINDOW AND TO ANYONE ELSE WHO WOULD DISAGREE OTHERWISE- but! silence is key. being silent and watching them grow and then once they've reached the level that you always pictured them to be at ....smiling proudly at how far they've come 😔✨
I love the way you explained Hyunjin. I think that's the best explanation of his stage presence i have ever heard. People looove calling him overrated whenever someone says he is one of the best performers in 4th gen but he clearly deserves it. I can see and feel his love for the job he does whenever i watch him on stage. What i love the most about him is his versatility, besides his passion of course, and you explained it so well
I think it happens a lot because people often confuse dance skills with performance skills. Hyunjin isn't the best dancer in kpop but has natural performance skills. It's never just his facial expressions but also his body expressing so much. I think that's a very eye catching trait in performers.
I think we all agree that Hyunjin is the 4th gen visual. It does not matter if you like other groups, the visual of this man is undeniable. One of the best kpop visuals to date.
I would redistribute some places, to be honest, but this is all a subjective opinion, it was interesting to hear why and for what stage abilities you put each of the guys in their places. But I definitely agree with the first place. Hyunjin really is on another level. Thank you for the video.
Well i think different people look for different things in performances, i mainly disagree with them ranking at the bottom as the whole group to me they feel the most as one.
@@txtsmoa5233 I love their stage presence. For example the Magic stage in Studio Choom, their face is literally shinning. Each of them express themselves so well...It feels so satisfying and energetic to watch. Also I think they are getting better each comeback
@Yuju's mic #ignoredacom1cyberbullyingain'tcute I think Kai is the one with so much potential, like you can tell from the Frost performance. Maybe still need time to polish himself until the public recognize his ability.
“His dimples” GIRL SAME I- Also you were on point with jay from Enhypen and Changbin. Jay immediately caught my attention. His face is super sharp and eye catching, and he keeps your attention with his facial expressions. Same with Changbin, he was the first member who caught my eye in thunderous and goddamn does he keep it up my lord
I literally love your word choice for describing Hyunjin’s stage presence because I never really liked that type of stage presence but honestly I see the artistic points of his stage presence. He is amazing on stage.
The happiest thing that happend in the year is me discovering heeseung. His gaze is so fierce and burns with passion even in i-land performances. I still can't get over fake love heeseung
*FINALLY FINALLY THANK U SO MUCH FINALLY SOMEONE NOTCIED CHANGBIN* 😭 As Changbin is my ultimate bias in kpop But seriously I'm shocked to see him rank # 7 in the individual Ranking list higher than Han (since he's the most hyped member in the fandom) most probably because the I rarely in my observation see anyone talk about his stage presence And YES CHANGBIN IS THE HOTTEST MAN ALIVE His dominant stage presence is just amazing his visuals and facial expressions are so good and exactly on the point it's so fun to watch his fancams he delivers everything no matter what the concept is (dark, cute , energetic) He's a really masculine performer there is never a dull moment when he appears in the camera Really In my opinion this was a very fair and honest ranking I love it!!
Honestly I was pleasantly surprised too. I've always felt like he often gets forgotten for some reason. People do always bring up his rap, but.. his dancing? Stage presence? Definitely amazing as well. ♡
He has improved a lot since debut and frost and 0x1=lovesong just shows how amazing he has got. He is honestly an amazing performer but it’s this person opinion anyway everyone has their own preferences.
Thank you for your hard work. This was immaculate. I agreed with everything you said. Chan and Hyunjin are two of the most versatile and enjoyable performers out there. Hyunjins ability to grab your attention and hold it for entire sets shows that he is both hard working and naturally able to move through choreography with ease. His improvement over even the last three years is incredible. I think choreographing was one of the best things he ever did. He has very very few flaws in his performance.
I love ur vid!! It's really well thought out, but I think your extremely underselling TXT both as a group and individually. I would easily put Beomgyu and Tae in the top 15 hehe. From a technical standpoint, the group is both extremely coordinated and dynamic. They each having glaringly different presences if you look at them individually, but when you look at them together, it's fluid, warm, energetic, and satisfying to watch. TXT also has a lot of versatility with their concepts and the members somehow fit each one. Also their renditions of Shinee fit them perfectly. I could say a lot more but I'll stop here. I'm not sure how I'd rank them, but again I think u brushed over a lot of their appeal in an effort to be blunt.
I'm a moa, and I appreciate the effort you put and your honesty. I love them with all my heart and they're my ults alongside BTS, but there's definitely room for improvement. While I feel sad that you ranked them last and many members are in the bottom tier, I have to remind myself it doesn't mean they're terrible and this is just a ranking between these members. I also appreciate your points of improvement and I hope they're also working on improving. However, there are also points where I disagree with you. Here's where I agree: - Taehyun, period. I am thankful you recognize him because I feel like non-moas mainly praise him for vocals and visuals rather than his stage presence. He is an underrated performer with great facial expressions. IDK if non-moas know this but 0X1 era was the Taehyun divorce era because he really sang his heart out with this era. - Soobin using repetitive expressions and gestures. He's my bias, and I love him to bits, but I do notice that there are certain perfs where his expressions seems rehearsed. His expressions are really good, but if you watch them perform the same songs for different stages, you would notice that he does repeat a lot gestures a lot. He has standouts like his Crown and Blue Orangeade era perfs, which seemed more natural. I think all he needs to learn is how to be more natural. I think his tendency to use more rehearsed gestures comes from his natural shyness, and he's using these safe gestures cause he has yet to learn to fully let go on stage. But when he lets go and loses restraint, he tends to be much better. Even when he's being really wacky and silly during more jokey moments, his expressions are a lot better and more natural. He just needs to overcome his shyness. - Yeonjun and BG overall - Kai sometimes being off with his expressions. But I feel like he's not as bad as you make him seem, which I'll explain later in the disagree segment. Here's where I disagree: - You mentioned that Kai is over-expressive, which I disagree with. I think what he needs to learn is control without toning it down. He might lack control over his eyebrows, for one thing, which may make certain expressions a bit off. This makes him better performing cute concepts in certain moments because he's naturally cute lol. I think once he learns how to control certain jerky facial movements, he'll already much much better. But I do feel like these movements can be a hit or miss, cause sometimes it works, sometimes it doesn't. Frost for example, is where it really works for him. - Taehyun needs to turn things down. I don't usually agree with toning things town for most performers because I am not a big fan of underperforming. I don't think idols should be reined in fear of overperforming, it just has to match the concept. I do have an exception with overperforming though, but I won't name names. lol - I don't agree with Yeonjun being waaaay ahead in terms of presence. He's ahead, and in fact one of the best in their generation, but I don't think his members are that far behind. Another thing I want to mention is that they recently did a Fan Live in front of an actual crowd and their stage presence has been elevated significantly. Honestly, it was like watching a brand new TXT. I think with the motivation of a crowd, they'll be much better.
They are already amazing. They don’t have to be much better cause they are already amazing but anyone can get better over time it’s just comes with everything, more experience the better. Thanks for all the things u mentioned, everyone has room for improvement but they are honestly already amazing and their genre of music is different to other groups so obviously their stage presence would be different. Also this person ults mcnd and stray kids and they put them as top 2 while putting two groups she doesn’t listen to as last two. See,s biased too me especially since they probably watched almost every performance of their ults but only like 2 for txt and enhypen so it’s definitely not even a fair comparison nor should there be a comparison because txt are so talented and their stage presence is actually amazing and they get praised for their performances all the time. It’s their opinion at the end of the day not facts but it definitely seems like a biased opinion with rarely any knowledge on 2 groups she put last and second last.
I think they also mostly watched fancams to assess stage presence, and I think there are other perfs where TXT's presence really shines. I agree that as a fan, everglow-up might have been more exposed to their faves. Still, while TXT can improve (I mean, everyone can), they're already amazing! When it comes to music though, TXT is pretty universally well-loved within the k-pop community
@@rubybee2180 yea I mean it’s just not even a fair comparison. If you ULT two groups it means u have watched like all their performances and fan cams and know all their different genre of songs etc but the fact that they don’t even casually listen to txt shows that they know NOTHING about them to even be ranking. Watching 1 fancam is not the same as watching every performance of other groups especially with txt different genre and style. But yes everyone can improve and txt are amazing as is anyway.
I usually don’t care for these types of analysis videos especially when i am not that familiar with the groups, but this had all of my attention glued to the screen. The editing was not only aesthetically pleasing, but also easy to follow. The explanation of why each individual/ group were at the rank that you gave them was extremely informative. Because of this MCND have piqued my interest. You’ve done your research and know exactly what you’re talking about and that’s something that’s lacking on this sector of youtube. You are very observative, analytical, and intelligent and i believe anyone who watches any one of your videos could see that too. One thing i might suggest is to maybe add the name of the group each member belongs to when it comes to ranking them individually. I cant wait for your next stage presence ranking video and i will definitely be tuning in, lol.
honestly, watching this video has opened my eyes a lot. i cant speak much on mcnd bc i know next to nothing about them but i can say that yes skz do have AMAZING stage presence, and you don’t even need to be a full on stay to notice that. whenever they perform, im blown away at how powerful they are. also, as a yeonjun biased moa, im so happy to see him in the top 3 because god this man knows how to perform. in any txt performance, it’s impossible to take his eyes off of him. while txt may not have the best stage presence, to me they’re just so fun to watch bc of their choreographies and i rly hope to see them improve even more in the future
Oh my god I am SO happy about Heeseung's ranking! 💗 Thank you SO much. I'm so happy he's getting so much praise in the comments too. He deserves it so much! ^ ^/ I actually stopped being a kpop fan in 2020 after years of being a fan but started listening to TXT around the end of last year because I rly liked Beomgyu. But I couldn't vibe much with their stage presence or music (as much as I tried.) But then, in Jan/Feb because of Meghan Trainor's "No," I came across the choreo for Paradoxxx Invasion and watched Heeseung's fancam and that was it for me! 😂 He dragged me back into this kpop mess I have to say, when he is on stage, he is absolutely and utterly entrancing. You cannot take your eyes off him. As much as I love Paradoxxx Invasion and listening to music Spotify as I travelled to college, I would physically holding onto to the seats on bus and handles on the metro for dear life with one hand while standing because I had to have my phone in the other one watching his performance! He was SO charismatic and cool to me. When he was the centre, he was everything and when he wasn't, he still was. He has this ability to grasp onto your attention like no other performer I know of. And most of all, he's so immensely relaxed during these performances. How does he do that???? Lord, after watching his fancams, I realized Enhypen's music slaps so hard.
I really liked your description of hyunjin stage presence I think you made many good points honestly even though i feel many praise him outside and inside the fandom for his stage presence but also there are many who give him backhanded compliments bc of his visuals sadly, i wish ppl start appreciating him rightfully since thats what he himself values the most! his own efforts
Minjae being a masculine feminine performer? YESSS. WE STAN. His fancams are always so addictive for me. And idk why but him in crush era just hits different.
the number of times I have seen engenes drag him with backhanded compliments, 'but......, too aggressive, too powerful, dancing like the rent is due' and never appreciating his actual skills
I was nodding along the whole video even when I didn’t totally approve lmao, good job and good editing Cheryl ! Seungmin is my ult of my ults omg it hurts but yeah you’re right it’s not his stage presence that made me ult him :’) I strongly feels like Felix is a person with a natural presence when performing (maybe it comes with his eyebrows ?) and that it’s one of his best advantages I would lie saying I wasn’t expecting Hyunjin at the top but I was still happy to witness it haha Castle J, Chan and Changbin are so demanding when they perform it’s not giving me room to breath haha And I just wanted to end by saying that I am actually very impressed with Jeongin’s stage presence lately, especially in special stages ! His facials really improved a lot since debut that’s for sure. I am really anticipating this comeback for him and Seungmin since I always thought their biggest weakness was their lack of confidence (I.N in dancing mostly, Seungmin overall) and they did work on it lastly thanks for your hard work we truly appreciate it
i personally believe the stage set-up, hair/makeup artists also play a huge role in stage presence cos they make it so much more visually pleasing to look at which is basically what stage presence is all about
I love this list ngl. personally would move felix ( because of his side effects stages 😷) and jake up a bit but yeah. I love the whole aesthetic u have going on btw its cute
the fact that there are so many fancams of the skz members giggling at each other, making funny faces at each other, giggling, smiling, joking around, slapping each others butts and just having those fun interactive moments really demonstrates to me how natural they are on stage. that is where they feel comfortable - performing together. and thats so powerful
For txt, Idk why people say "Oh all of them are all rounders. All of them shine on their own." When in reality, Yeonjun a lot of times outshines the other members very easily. It's not that the other memebrs aren't talented enough. Yeonjun is just THAT good and has a reallt strong and dominant stage presence. This is just my opinion at the end. So, I hope no one gets offended or anything.
Overall I am really really impressed with your ranking and detailed description on each members but your evaluation on Changbin in particular gives me goosebumps...literally chillssss 😬💓🔥
