This is a blue mage visual guide for A8S Brute Justice. (Updated for 2024) Our group tried basically every strat we could find for this fight and this is what finally got us over the edge. Our aetheric mimicry composition for this fight was 5 blue dps, 1 blue tank (MT), 2 blue healers. 1 of the DPS players should take the off tank role and bring some tank spells (i brought blood drain, the look, and frogs legs for prog emergencies) and one healer should be an off healer and bring mostly dps spells. 6 dps, 1 tank, 1 healer is also possible and fine for a practiced group but we found that, for prog, two healers was much more consistent. NOT MENTIONED IN THE VIDEO: Your off healer should switch to DPS mimicry right after intermission while waiting for brute justice. This was not needed in our clear but adds much more margin for error.
All players need Diamondback, Mighty Guard, Apokalypsis (Optional for MT), and Final Sting for this strategy.
A few things to add based on community feedback:
Diamondback timing during intermission should be just AFTER the laser goes off, not before as written in the video.
Especially if you are not in voice with everyone, coordinating your final sting with a reliable indicator in game is probably the most consistent pf friendly strategy. We settled on aiming for the middle of the gavel cast as your target start time. Everyone should stop casting when gavel cast appears and then start casting sting right in the middle of the castbar. (the start of the cast bar is a better indicator, but that does not leave a lot of room for late moonflutes, nerves, etc. and the timing is not ~that~ strict.)
