Havona by Jaco Pastorius Bryan Ladd -Bass Justin Stanton -Fender Rhodes Jason Patterson -Drums Recorded by Jacob Bergson at The Bunker Studio Mixed/Mastered by John Davis at The Bunker Studio Directed/Edited by Simon C.F. Yu
I love a great cover of this song, which has always been one of my faves as a Jaco fan from way back, which usually means more of a fairly strict reproduction. But this is, by far, the best cover of this song I've ever heard... because I (also) love how you really made it your own while maintaining a strong homage to the original at the same time. AWESOME!!
guys, the best version of Havona on the net !!!!!! I've listened to it three or four times in a row !!!! AMAZING .... the dynamics, the solos, the final.... THANK YOU GUYS !!!!!
By far the best bass tone I have found on RU-vid. Doing everything I can to emulate that sound! And incredible rendition, I love the a good 3 piece with a Rhodes.
Beautiful! Excellent rendition! Great bass playing, love the sound of your Fender Rhodes! Tasty drum playin' too! Listening to this is like 'getting high!'
Just stumbled on this Bryan Ladd through Basstheworld. Just started clinking on links with him, this drummer and two different keyboardists. This little group is rock solid and so very musical. Mad skills all around, but they never let it get in the way of the music. GREAT stuff.
Man, cant stop watching. This is epic! Hehe, think we're going to play that bass intro in my band! Passionate playing is the greatest playing. Greetings from Curitiba!!!
+capsaicinrain Thanks for listening! They had an aguilar amp in the studio but I honestly don't remember what the cabinet was. Sorry bout that. It was unnamed but it looked like a pretty standard 1X12.
