Bryan Ladd - I love how you play an original bass line that keeps the feel and the energy of Jaco's original line. This is an AWESOME version of this song! You and your trio are great!
Nice arrangement... I love it! Real smooth and relaxed. A nice fresh take on this. Very much a band arrangement... not just a solo bass piece. You guys work well together as an ensamble.
very nice !!! what sound !!! you are very luky to play together !! it's my dream to find other musicians like you ! keep that in spirit it's very precious !! good luke to you and for your music . Jaco must be happy to see musician like you !! Thierry from france
Great tribute!!! Love the way you put your spin on this and made your way instead of copying note for note. Hats off to all three of you guys, but mostly the bass player. Cheers from California
Nice sounding trio I do think after 40 years of bass playing and growing up with Jaco, that Mr ladd needs to attack those notes a little harder but all in all a great performance thanks guys
Great stuff! The three instruments I love most too (although I'm slightly more partial to the Mark I than the II). I don't really understand why there are two dislikes ...
everything is perfect here and it´s good that Jaco is still that powerful and present... btw there is a documentary movie about Jaco out now produced by Robert Trujillo (Metallica) which is currently shown at several festivals. I pledged for it and will get the DVD which should be available soon. The movie is called "JACO The Film"
A little bit off topic but, Does anyone know if the aria pro csb-300 (bass guitar) is any good to take on stage? And is it worth to repair it for 2l 100$ worh new fretwork?
I personally don't like jazz, it sounds like one big warmup session. But I do respect the musicians playing it and I must say, you guys are some of the best I've seen in a long time ! Great playing, especially the bass piece !
An instrument is a tool. Jaco used what Jaco used, and Bryan has his Fodera. This is a fabulous interpretation of an iconic piece - it’s not meant to be a facsimile.
mytubeaccount you obviously aren't a musician, and if you are, you have never played with someone as good as these three men are. It's obvious it's not faked and there is a lot of SOLID talent in this trio.
sounds a bit like jealousy to me - could be wrong, but don't think so. i've played for 33 years; i've played alllllllll kinds of basses, son, and someone would have to pry my foderas from my cold dead hands.
