For all of you saying Bryce Harper is overrated, he's had a camera on him for his every move he's made since he was 15. They would boo him if he didn't hit a homerun, he was hyped up on cover of sports illustrated as a sophomore IN HIGH SCHOOL. Mike was a guy drafted out of high school who was drafted in late first round and a lot of people didn't know about him. So he didn't have a ton of pressure on him so he could transition smoothly from minors to majors. Bryce has finally settled and found his place in the MLB and is putting up crazy numbers above a .330 BA and 30+ HRs. Mike is extremely talented don't me wrong but the people bagging on Bryce have no idea what there talking about and probably haven't played baseball since tee ball

Trout, Machado, and Harper are my three favorite players in the league. I believe machado is the best fielder, harper has the most power, but if you combine them both you get mike trout.

Lets not forget that Trout is older than Harper and harper has battled through potentially career ending injuries. Harper hit 3 homers in 4 games in the Nationals postseason 2014, and Trout had one hit: a homer. At the moment, Trout has the upper hand, but watch out for Harper. He hit .315 in the last month of the season. Trout? .260. I think when it comes down to the moments of pressure, Harper has the advantage because he's had to deal with hype all his life.

people saying harper is overrated is bs, people dont even consider his age and all of the expectations put on him, he was on the cover of si when he was 16, he was the first overall pick, and has been constantly watched and scrutinez his entire baseball career, trout never had anywhere close to the expectations put on him like harper did, not putting down trout at all by far the best all around player in the game but its pretty impressive to do the things that harper has done at the age of 21 if you ask me

Harper is a potential 50+HR hitter, while Trout is only a 30 HR hitter at best. Trout is nowhere near the best in terms of hitting for power. He may be a next generation Derek Jeter. Harper belongs in a different continuum. He could be as good as A Rod, Griffey Jr, Bonds.

Look, I'm an angels fan, so I'm biased, I get mad when I see Harper cuz I get jealous of his insane talent, the dude is amazing, I get nervous when he steps to the plate against my angels, then there's trout, who is the only reason angels baseball is worth watching, Teout is poetry in motion for baseball, and even though I'm biased towards trout all day, I still think that even I weren't biased trouts stats speak for itself, he is the best player in the world right now but he's on a sucky team, hats off to Harper for carrying the Nats to the playoffs

I hope for the sake of both the player and the organization the Angels trade Mike Trout. Trout has never won, and will never win a playoff game with this team. Conversely, the Angels farm system is terrible and the return you could get on a trade for mike trout could immediately fix that problem. The two going their separate ways would be best for both parties involved.

These two are probably some of the best young players in baseball. Trout and harper are both hard workers, Trout having to prove himself in the league and harper having to live up to expectations. Trout is in a better team though but they both do whatever they can to contribute. If no crucial injury stops them, these guys are definitely going to put up hall of fame numbers and win many awards. Also another player who should be among their names in machado, kids amazing and will continue to be once he returns. Puig Sucks imo he's overrated

Harper is so overrated! He is power and arm with good speed. Trout is great contact good power (potentially great) great glove UNBELIEVABLE speed good arm (potentially great)

As you can see in the highlights, Trout can field amazingly, Harper is meh, that is why there are no highlights of Harper fielding.Also, Harper gets in fights and arguments and seems very proud, at least compared to how humble Trout is.

Reserves are selcected by the players themselves now, which do you really think means you are better selected by the fans or by the players who know a lot more about the a game than you and i and every fan?

Harper is also a year younger...this season is Harper's 20 year old season (Trout was 20 with his breakout season last year). When Trout was 19 (like Harper was last year), he batted .220 with 5 HR and 30 strikeouts in 40 games...
