Rory had such a good chance, and let it get away with a timid stroke on 18. Meanwhile, Bryson clutched up with that bunker shot -- unbelievable. That's what we want to see: guys making the shot under the most pressure, when it matters most.

For sure, but Bryson was giving him many chances hitting only 5 fairways with his new driver head that he replaced before the round

The one on 16 was a gimme, but the one on 18 was downhill and he played an inch to the left of the cup and in the last foot his ball just fell 4 inches. That is why you never want a downhill putt, and when you look at Bryce’ putt to win it was uphill so he could hit the putt with some authority. If you go back and watch Rory’s putt on 18 he just tapped it with very little follow through because if he had went after it a little harder and missed the would have gone 10 feet past the hole and then maybe 2 more putts, because he still had to wait for Bryce to play out.

As a UK golfer, gutted to see Rory lose in the manner he did. Golf is a cruel game. HOWEVER, hats off to Bryson for a fantastic win where he was battling all afternoon. Well deserved after coming so close in the PGA.
