I just did this swap on my hyper blue BRZ but I have perfect bumper fitment. All you have to do is buy the newer headlight brackets.

i think mod installs and POV driving as well as a tour of the shop would be awesome

But all you need to do is swap the head light brackets for the 2017+ versions along with the bumper and you will get better fitment. They added the extra tab to help with the bumper sag problem a bit.

I'd love to see a headlight comparison video, where you compare the output of the stock '17 LEDs with your new headlights and the Intecs. I like how yours and the Intecs look, but the 2017 has pretty good output, so I'd like to see how these perform before going down that road.

I have done this bumper swap. You need to change the headlight bracket from a 2013 to a 2017 to make it fit right without cutting the tab.

For future vids, show us all your favorite mods on the 86/FRS/BRZ that you highly recommend and would personally use. (No duplicate parts for a street car. Ex: don’t recommend 2 different exhaust systems. )

I recently rear ended a Tesla in my frs, and now my bumper and hood is all jenky. So I think I’m gonna take this opportunity to put a 2017 86 bumper on the frs, do you know if it’ll work the same as this brz? Like obviously not exactly the same, but as simple as this?

Maybe add if not already, a vlog of a turbo installed that doesn’t change the octane or gas... if any. Like, if I installed a type of turbo into the BRZ, could I just go up to any gas station and fill up with whatever octane that’s provided

it would be nice to see like all the things that have gone wrong, cause like its one thing to see you guys doing it right but like idk when you see peoples fuck ups it makes you aware of it so when you go to install a simular mod you don't make the same mistake.

I know I'm late to the party, but with ALL of your shop cars, they need to be used as Left and Right demos with different parts /styles on each side, much like you put blue and gold wheels on the silver car. You have soooo many products for the models you support that having just one type/style on a single car almost seems like a wasted opportunity to showcase another product. sure, the car might look "funny" from some angles with different taillights/headlights/mirrors/wheels on each side, but it is the best way (I can think) to show your customers how (some) products will look when installed. You an also show differences when new products come in as only one side is changed out leaving the other side untouched.

My '13 BRZ i got used from the dealership has the same sticking out issue under the headlights on both sides. Plus a sidemarker thats not exactly in place. I wonder if it too is a 2017 bumper retro fitted to the '13 car. 🤔 Will need to take my bumper off and see this weekend.

How many times do you think this swap is redo'able with the same bumper? Now that I know how easy it is, I'm thinking about getting an extra bumper to use during track days...

You should replace the headlight bracket instead of cutting of the bumper tab.
