First thing I did was replace the transmission and diff oil along with the engine oil right before my first event. Other than that like you mentioned in the vid I went with a moderate -3deg camber up front and 0deg camber in the rear with close to 0deg toe all round. Definitely need to look into adding more caster up front because I did stupid and went with 245 wide tires up front on some 17x9s and steering return was a good bit slower. Other than that short term goals are getting more seat time before starting angle mods and e-brake mods (found that I'm comfortable with clutch and throttle control and haven't needed the e-brake yet)
How about a gradual suspension build. Show what tweeks you can do with control arms(front, rear). How the different braces help reduce roll. In other words the phases of suspension, then power. After that braking system, with cooling upgrades. Then like you said power adders to top it off next year
Megan inner tie rods and front wheel spacers seem like the best easy angle mods. Would like to see what this car would be like with a turbo fa20, modded knuckles and a gripped up tire setup
Common midwestern courtesy to do so (perhaps in other areas as well). But definitely not an absolute rule. Also, definitely did not dislike the video because of that lol
Have you ever had oil starvation issues with it. I took mine to VIR about a month ago and two laps in a broke the engine from the heat and oil starvation. Just got the new engine in but I am worried to track it again without an acusump system. Have you ever had this issue? According to the shop, the reason it broke was from turn 1 because I was pulling a lot of G's for a significant amount of time. Similar to drifting.
You should probably tighten that oil filter a lot more. A second set of hands would probably help add more muscle. Maybe a half inch torque wrench, too.
If this is the only car in the shop and you want to know the best mod to make it into a drift car can I recommend getting lessons. A decent instructor can pin point what the car actually needs to make it go sideways and it will take a little more finesse to hold a drift without actually destroying your car. I am saying this not to come off like a dick, I am a huge fan of the sight but we have all seen your autocross and Time Trials videos, get the lessons and make a video of it... It will be awesome
