@@sparkyhelp3997 I have also left a comment on another one of your videos , the one titled what should you complete doing a board change some plum said that you are wrong and give misleading information so I hopefully came to your defence. Please review and correct me if I’m wrong

@@sparkyhelp3997 this is my reply to a comment. Yes it’s not one of your videos sorry mate my apologies but read this and please feel free to correct me if I’m wrong. Paul Smith , he’s right you should only complete the paper work that is relevant to the work you did , an (EICR electrical installation condition report) Is to determine whether the installation is safe for continued use, not to to determine whether a CU upgrade is required, there is no regulation requirement to upgrade an existing installation. Or to bring it up to the current standard I refer you to page 99 in the current version of the onsite guide, and to the HSE note in BS7671 , try fecking reading it . Ware he has got it wrong is if you replace an old CU with a new CU then you test all the circuits and you carry out Ze continuity insulation resistance ring final and so on , the you complete the electrical installation certificate witch details the installation characteristics followed by the schedule of test certificate . An (EICR electrical installation condition report) is not required prior to a board change. You should never take responsibility for someone else’s work, if you install a new circuit to an existing installation you are only responsible for that circuit. Nothing else, if you install a new CU you are responsible for the hole installation as you are required to insure that the MCBs RCDs or RCBOs are suitable for the installation. And you test all circuits in accordance with BS7671 18th edition 2018+ amendment two 2022. The IET model forms come as a complete package, in a set of three , each accompanied by a set of two notes one for the installer and one for the client. 1)electrical installation certificate 6 pages. 2)minor electrical installation works certificate, 2 pages, 3) (EICR)condition report, 9 pages, you only complete the document relevant to the work ordered and witch you completed . Try reading the notes .
