BSA A65 'Oil tap engine' strip & rebuild 9 An unexpected hold up with oil pump timing cover fouling

The SRM pump is a well made item,but I fitted one to a standard A10 and had to slightly alter the timing case.

Years ago I had the crank modification done on an A10 by Divimead and had the same problem with the timing cover !

Modifications! So often be source of extra unintended hassle.😉

Seems a shame to have to shave a bit off that pretty blue pump. Presumably it clears SRM's own set-up for this motor. Be odd if it didn't.

I’d be very concerned about the integrity of the seal between the O ring and the face of the cover.
