Picked mine up in 177 couple days ago . Really impressed with it. Lovely smooth action . Put a weihrauch silencer on it down to a whisper .

Hi Rack just thought i would mention that you didn't include the fact that the magazine is magnetic which is a big plus in my book. Great review as usual Rack keep them coming. Also The BSA Ultra CLX was released by BSA as an anniversary Rifle The CLX are Roman numerals for 160yrs. Happy Shooting Rack.👍👍👍👍👍

ive got a supersport,lightning and one of the under lever gold stars..those gold stars are great!!really collectable now as well..i wouldnt mind one of these for the collection though,it looks great..a handy hunter :)..great vid mate!

I have one in .177 and it is accurate , i am using the BSA Goldstar atm but either AADF or JSB heavy all 4.52 and i have the Weirauch XL-K silencer/mod and is very very quiet with that. It looks nice and feels nice . As Darren mentions below the front stud on mine is very very slightly loose but easily rectified. As always great review Rack.

The bolt action on the BSAs is gorgeous. But the mags are a little techy.

Enjoy your channel and information l, I have the 177, I'm struggling with accuracy issues,,using aa diablo, bsa black star and jsb heavy, have cleaned the barrel but still not spectacular, maybe more running in time needed, my old 1969 bsa meteor is on par with the grouping with this and is still completely original from from when I bought back then, atb Mike.

@@racknload All good now thanks, I removed the dovetail picatinny adapter, and put my veyron scope with medium sports match mounts which fit perfectly on that 13mm bsa rail, cheers Mike.

I had an limited edition ultra in camo in 22 a few years ago and it was a lovely little ratter but I did find it very fiddly loading the magazine but that was me due to bad dexterity, but hell was it accurate. I now shoot Weihrauch’s as they are so much easier for me to load up You mentioned you prefer synthetic as do I as you are not constantly thinking about scratching the stock and your concentrating more on the job in hand. I see that Stoeger have produced a bullpup that will be interesting to see how that performs, no doubt when you get your hands on one you’ll be doing a review.

Unfortunately got an update from my initial first impression. I still love the look and feel of the rifle but it's not really fit for purpose. From a fill the first 10/12 shots are in the 9ft range then it pushes up to a maximum of 10.5 with 8.4g . You aren't getting no where near the claimed shot count . For £600 notes this is unacceptable in my book .

These comments are a little concerning to me too, like you both the look and feel are good and mine is accurate, i am getting the claimed shot count ..just! I have not checked on the power as yet (waiting for chrono to arrive) i will report back, if it is at 9ft/Ib it will be taking a trip back to the RFD.

I wouldn't get this gun just yet there is a problem with stock where the hole is that attached it to one peace block plus the hole in block is to far forwards needs moving back a bit then it will be perfect

I'm seriously considering upgrading from my ATA Arms Airborne a BSA Ultra CLX. The ATA is a heavy lump but very well balanced, the weight doesn't really bother me as I'm a big lad and it is pellet on pellet accurate and very quiet would you recommend the swap? Or stick with the ATA Arms Airborne? I shoot small Game.

You do have a bigger shot count with the ATA so that could sway it for me....

@racknload The thing is the most accurate rifle I've ever had! I shoot small Game and plink with my son so we go through a lot of mags as I haven't got a scuba bottle and pay for a refill every 2 weeks. It'll do roughly 400 pellets per charge. Its a monster but again it weighs 4.3kg so it's a heavy old beast. What would you do?

I noticed at around the 12 mins Mark when you were doing the pellet grouping your pellets started to go way off to the left and you quickly cut the filming ah ah. How much are bsa paying you to up their shite. All bsa rifles come way under power ie 9ftbls standard I've sent 3 back and will never touch one again.

Quickie Checked on chronograph ( FX radar ) done the CLX once only , but only after around a tin had been shot , ok with the usually mid weight pellet ( 8.44grn ) smack on ( from what I can remember ) jsb heavies , 12fpe average , which means some shots are over .. nevertheless , we're gonna give it a tin or two too settle down , unfortunately had a few trigger probs and its been back a few times ( simple fixes I reconed , but under Warranty , so no messing ) that and the fact we visit the range only once every 3 weeks .. hope its settled down with heavies .. will take too range with chronograph next time , see what its doing now ..

Vary low on power 190nbar 9.8 ft 150 bar 10 .5 ft front stud for bipod came out hole to big from factory thes gun r shit don't forget I have had two

Ive got one and its gone back to bsa for this problem. This is the second time its gone back first was for an air leak. They have had the gun about 4 weeks now and im hoping it will be sorted or i will be getting my money back

I was thinking of chopping in my brand new RM8 for one of these but after reading these comments, I don’t think I’ll bother. What the hell is going on with air gun quality? I’ve owned my RM8 3 months but have only had hands on for 2 weeks. First new had a reg issue, then the bottle leaked. The gun was swapped for another. Second one had the bolt jam on me and then once it came back, I noticed the barrel was loose. (2mm lateral play) It’s been back as a warranty return for a month now and no news on it coming back any time soon. I’m thinking of just sticking to springers. My TX200 is what got me bitten on shooting but the RM8 has all but cured me of it. I’m gutted.

What was the power on your two mate? A little concerned on mine now having read the comments. Frustrating because i read and watched ALL the reviews before buying the gun and nothing flagged up as a concern!

@@dobbo4596 I would take care listening to comments from people like Darren, if he thinks they are that bad why on earth did he buy 2? see what I mean, be careful what you read, there's alot of crap written by people on youtube comments. Ive got one and I think its a great little air rifle!
