Yes, most people don't understand that Dazai entered the Agency because of Odasaku and in that they think he also changed his personality, and that didn't happen. he's just on the good side.

I agree, though I like to think Dazai isn't completely the same, like in the new chapter he kept the promise he made to Sigma, keeping him safe even if there was a risk for himself to be in more danger. Even so, I still think dazai isn't completely nice or good, no way. But I do think he has changed a bit, just not completely and he probably gets triggered when he see people from his past and goes back to acting like he used to when he was in the port mafia. (This is not excusing Dazai's treatment towards Akutagawa, because Dazai is just being genuinely cruel to him, no excuses!)
