BT Meter 570 C APP Review and why I sent it back 

Thanks for that. I was having the same problems but this now makes sense. I will try again today and see if I get results that make sense as well. I kept wondering how to zero the thing out. BTW the PeakHold (brand) meters are exactly the same I have the PH-570C (without the blue tooth). The PeakHold website doesn't even list the model.

Where can I get a hard copy user's manual 🤔??

Hey thanks for commenting Darren. I don't do a whole lot of reviews and I feel better that someone else has had the same weirdness. I would hate to slam the thing if I was the only one.

Yes, a lot more money but better then buying something that 's not going to work right.

I found that KLEIN model CL800 has the best one.

No, one of my customers sent me a link to a Craigslist ad that Stephen put up selling the compressor. I never contacted him about it because in the craigslist ad he said he was getting a divorce and needed money. I felt bad for him, but of course the air compressor give away didn't turn out the way I had hoped. And for some reason he scraped the Unique3phase decal off the front of the thing. Kind of disappointing, but that happens sometimes in life. I have not followed him so I don't know if he did get divorced or what. Thanks for the comment.

This is a good question Kim, but the answer is I don't know. Ac amps are just really easy to measure. You are talking about a current transformer and a meter that reads the output. Transformers are tried and tested and work great. Ac current demagnetizes iron.The dc measurement is a recent development in these meters. I found that the whole problem seems to be the dc magnetizes stuff. So I found that the REL button seems to be designed to demagnetize, or clear out, or get rid of what ever is left in the meter jaws. But that is not always the case. If you are really observant on this you can get a pretty accurate reading even down to 1 amp. But it is not worth using this because you are always in doubt about what it should really read. They tout up the bluetooth remote reading but that doesn't work because the rel button needs to be pressed to clear out the residual magnetism. If you measure something and then turn the equipment off and then on again with the meter just hanging there it will add some amps to the reading. It needed to be rel keyed again. I don't know how something like the Fluke would work, someone said they bought one of them.

You know I don't normally do product reviews and I also wondered if the company would contact me. I figured that might see this and come up with some sort of explanation. The voltage measurement part worked at first and then went bad. The bluetooth worked for a while. And the DC amp measurement is not what you would expect. When you add it all up maybe the product was rushed to market or I got a bad one. But I think the DC amp measurement is going to be tough to work right. It is not as easy and simple as AC measurement that we are all used to.
