With BT15 in full-swing, it's time to revisit a rogue deck I've been keeping up with since it's debut in EX3: Aegisdramon! With a slew of new Seadramon cards to support the strategy, the deck is more interesting than ever!

Good video as always, sailor friend. As you know, I've been loyal to Aegisdramon (I literally haven't played anything since EX03) and have been polishing the deck for the upcoming regional. I have managed to enter the top 128 of the last 4 big tournaments in Mexico so I think I have enough experience with the deck to support you and give advice to those who want to try the deck. The current list I use in the deck is the following, just this Saturday I won and went 4-0 in the local tournament and I think it is the build that I will take to the regional on the 23rd of this month. LV 3 4 crabmon ex3-015 3 gomamon bt7-018 3 betamon bt15-022 2 modokibetamon bt6-021 lv 4 4 seadramon p-098 3 seadramon bt15-025 3 ebidramon ex3-017 lv 5 3 megaseadramon ex3-022 2 waruseadramon bt11-085 2 megaseadramon bt15-029 (Believe me, it's much better than you think.) 2 zudomon ace bt14-26 lv6 4 plessiomon ex3-023 2 plessiomon X bt15-032 lv7 2 aegisdramon ex3-026 1 omnimon merciful mode bt9-083 tamers 2 davis motomiya bt3-093 options 3 mental training p-104 2 blue memory boost p-036 2 great maelstrom bt12-102 1 maelstrom bt11-098 digitamas 4 bukamon bt7-002 About megaseadramon BT15, the card helps a lot both to be more aggressive and to control the game. In a metagame with so much yellow that reduces damage output (cards like venusmon) and other decks that stun your units (like green and another blue decks), megaseadramon becomes a pseudo great maelstrom, if you have a plessiomon that can't do much either because it doesn't have materials or because it's stunned and don't have the antibody or aegisdramon to evolve, you can put or evolve this seadramon, put that plesio in and remove any digimon of lv 6 or less from the opponent. It is easy for this deck to move the resources of that unused plesio to other units, hence megaseadramon makes the most of the cards disabled by the opponent's effects. Also, if you don't need to evolve it, it is very easy to add it to your evolutionary line through crabmon and plessiomon to finish the game. Believe me, trust him more. I hope my advice is useful to those of us who love this deck.

I'm an avid Aegisdramon fan, and after looking at your deck build, I got a few critiques: 1) I find that Tobiomon is pointless to have when you have Digimon like Ebidramon who's a hair more expensive but gives one of your Digimon blocker, which is something this deck lacks. I run three of them and it's a big part of my strategy. 2) Coelamon is a card that hinders the deck more than it helps. Not only whenever you attack you lose memory, but it's not an aquatic trait. It's a card I do not touch at all. 3) For my rookies, I like to run two ST8 Dracomon for the search of any dramon. There is a lot of dramons in this deck and if you need a piece in a pinch, Dracomon is great for that. Otherwise pretty good list. I think your points on the Xiquemon and Seadramon X lines are perfect! I cant wait till Gigaseadramon takes the stage and I can't wait to see what Xianpengmon does when they arrive soon! Once those pieces come into play, it'll make Aegisdramon a lot more competitive.

All totally valid criticism! And the good news is they dont last in the list much longer 😅 as soon as the new line drops in EX6 the deck restructures quite a bit, its been a ton of fun to play online! In the meantime another commenter brought up a list ive been working on adapting that hard-focuses on otk potential, with BT1 MetalGarurumon and BT10 Regalecusmon as the level6s and blitz omni in the 7 slot. 4x Ebidra and 4x BT1 Garurumon untap when they get cheated out, and 4x bt15 Megaseadramon retucks them to get another untap while doing it again. With jamming protection from either Beta (for melga) or Crabmon (Regalecus) the deck puts out so many free checks in a single turn, its hilarious to watch 😂

@@AvidHerpetologist I recently added Regalecusmon in my deck as well and he’s been a lot of fun to use as well! Synergy works great with the deck and his attacking move is great as well! It fills the board more and you can get a lot of hits in if you run Digimon with rush. I’ll look into that MetalGarurumon ordeal as well! Sounds really interesting! Thanks for the tip! Keep it up! You just earned yourself a subscriber! 😄

Loved the editing on this! Fish decks is one of my favorites and always look forward to these decklist updates. Here's hoping GigaSeadramon evolves cheaper from lv 5 with seadramon in name so we don't have to wait for a proper fish-themed MetalSeadramon

So ive thought about it, i dont think Giga necessarily NEEDS to have a better metalseadra to do its job. The rest of the line are obviously great for what they are, but either A, GigaSeadra digivolves over bt2 metal so we can evo into metal naturally and dont have to wait for plesio anymore OR just replaces metalseadra and gets run alongside plesio itself. I honestly dont know lol we'll have to wait and see!

I personally like using JumboGamemon in this deck. It’s super cheeky to be able to play out some of these guys on your opponent’s turn, plus he plays any level 5 or lower so he doesn’t care about traits. I also like using the memory setter Matt that removes a Digivolution source when you play something just to have some ways to debuff my opponent.

Definitely gonna send this to my friend. Seadramon is one of his favorite digimon and he just started playing Seadramon again with the EX6 support.

Very nice list! I'll have to shuffle around the level 4 slot since I don't have the promo Seadramon, but there's a few decent options to choose from. I see your point with the bt15 Megaseadramon, but I think it works well as a "red button" that you can play out to control the field in a pinch. Really hoping Gigaseadramon does what Tyrantkabuterimon did for Insectoids and just pushes them over the edge.
@AvidHerpetologist
@AvidHerpetologist 5 месяцев назад
Im hoping the same! BT15 Megaseadra feels like... so close lol but in practice its so clunky. The ex6 card takes the best halves of Waru and Megaseadra while also applying the board control of bt15 MSM with the new level 6

Ah fish, all ways fun. though my list is slightly different since I Focus on Gommamon x and Pleisomon x in my build. i enjoy bt-15 Megaseadramon since it provides removal at a lower level then having to go into lvl 6 to take a body of the board. I do agree we need the full Seadramon x line to make use more consistence. still got a win on a few meta decks. WOE ON TO THOSE WHO DO NOT FEAR FISH!

Great list, but your missing the boat with bt15 Megaseadramon, at first I had the same opinion on it, but the thing is this deck can struggle against beefy level 6 or 7s, this card can bottom deck them easily and deal with it, I went down to one at first but it carried me one game so now at 3. Also both bt15 and promo seadramons must be at 4, too good to play any less. Zudo ace does well in this deck too. Plesiomon x also plays well with this as a secondary boss monster

Surprised there was no mention of bt14 Gommamon. Pseudo armor purge, key source stripping, and being unblockable are all nice traits.

They def are and i think hes a great card to play! I just didnt have him in my list this time around. But i could def see cutting some of the level 3s to slot in a copy or two of him!

So some cards your sleeping on are Penguinmon BT11, it's better than BT7 Gomamon as it's always live from it's on play but gets aqua/sea animal into rotation. Gomamon BT14 as you can more reliably have a body if that stack is removed letting you play more aggressive early. Ebidramon from EX3 is better than Coelamon giving blocker but also being an extra swing with the unsuspend, on top of being aqua so having synergy. BT15 MegaSeadra does a lot more when comboed right. Maelstrom though will put in a whole lot of work for you too

Really wish they would just give us new Seadramon cards. Aegisdramon(and ex6 support) is cool and all but it would much cooler to have a dedicated Seadramon deck with the x antibody line and all that. Hopefully one day...
@AvidHerpetologist

Its coming. I can smell it 👀 I actually stringly suspect itll be in the next set or two, it feels like they just spent the last few sets laying the groundwork by giving us playable cards for the full line (beta seadra megaseadra etc) so now the stage is set for the x line to drop. Only a matter of time 😏
@fybso3057

personally Pengiunmon is my favourit rookie and i play it instead of crab and gomamon. I run ebidramon over cielomon for blocker and also unsuspend. I am also playing the blue/green Dracomon that searches a dramon and is also a target for davis! I definately play BT1 Metalgarurumon in my list and bt15 megaseadra and it almost makes aegisdramon redundant. goes kinda crazy Metagarurumon swings like 4 times

will this deck not benefit from trainings? Cause i see alot of people using blue memory boost instead
@AvidHerpetologist
@AvidHerpetologist 4 месяца назад
Mem boost just benefits the deck more. Aegis isn't a deck that needs to find tamers, rather its looking for specific pieces / levels. As a result checking 2 additional cards is just more worthwhile. Having generic memory also benefits the deck more since we can do things by hard-playing our digimon, think things like rush seadramon or hard playing Tobiu to go into Kimera

@AvidHerpetologist 5 месяцев назад
Sadly no :( the errata also left out Sea Beast, so Zudomon got left out of the fun 😭 bt1 Zudo woulda been great with the deck, and now with Zudo Ace it woulda been soooo baller 💔

Sea animal and aquatic were what the errata mentions.

@TheDescendingChaos Aquabeast is also included, so cards like Thetismon count. I played her in one of my first iterations of the deck during ex3, and now that i think about maybe i should try her again for the extra checks with jamming 🤔
