I really enjoy your videos. I'm looking forward to the bridge opening up, it'll be cool to ride across. I"m in Trenton, Michigan, south of Detroit on the river. Regarding Oakley: I have a prescription pair of their half jackets ,and worth every penny.
Thanks for the compliment, much appreciated. I'm really looking forward to the new bridge opening. I already have a epic route in the works for when it happens. Yes I will definitely be investing prescription sunglasses very soon. Thanks for watching. Cheers
Glad you enjoyed it. Just make sure you plan well in advance as the Otentiks (cabins) are usually booked for the summer. The fall would be the perfect time! Cheers
Hope you feel better soon. Side question, are you a jogger, bc I swear I saw you last week and asked "are you the bike guy." If not, I apologize to your Windsor doppelganger.
I had the Edge 540 Solar in the cart at the bike shop, but after doing my research I decided that the Edge Explore 2 is the better unit for what I am doing. A lot of the features on the 540 and above I have no use for really, such as all the training metrics etc. And I will save some money lol.
@@WanderingEyeOutdoorAdventures I have it on the cart as well. I’m not getting a Garmin for performance per se. I want to use it as GPS and some very basic metrics. I’ll take a look at the Explore 2 price. The 540 is currently $399 on Garmin’s site and Amazon. What did you pay for the Explore?
@@jhgannon I got it from the bike shop my friend own and where I work when they need a extra mechanic so I got it for cost. The 540 (non solar) and Edge Explore 2 are the same price. But judging by your comments I think you might like the Explore 2 better, just the larger screen is a huge bonus. Either way they are both good units.
Hope your fingers heal up soon...manged my own lawn mowing accident by falling into a fire pit. Nice views of the Gordie Howe bridge by that Tim's. Cheers
