Hi I'm Dean and on this channel I will be doing all things outdoors! From Bikepacking/Touring, Canoe tripping, Hiking and anything else that comes my way! Follow me on my adventures as I set out to show that age is just a number.
For us non-professionals, it is difficult to distinguish real bags from fake bags, and people have not noticed that many rich people carry luxrul fake bags.
@craigdenouden2803 thanks for watching! My water filter is the Katadyn BeFree 1L version. I've been using this model for 4 years now and it works great in my opinion. Just be sure to properly clean on a regular basis. Cheers
Another great video Dean 🙌🏼 as a new cyclist wanting to learn more about routes and adventures, I appreciate your honesty and heads up to best prepare my future endeavours. As a fellow cyclist who also seeks riding as a method of therapy for mental and physical well being, keep riding. Don't ever apologize for keeping your mental health real with your viewers. Lets all do our part to normalize, share and support each other with mental well being no matter what it takes. It takes couage to share and I admire that. Keep it up Dean, make your dreams happen.
At the 2:50 mark… you said it man. This. When an ex exclaimed “I don’t get you, you actually named your bike? I mean, you never named your mac, why your bike?” My answer was “My Mac is a tool. My bike saved my life.” You’re a favourite creator of mine… I’ve watched you go past my friends places, by my parents’ place, along all of my favourite trails, where I rebuilt myself, along all of my favourite rides. But in this tiny minute of candid and bare honesty comes my favourite 60 seconds. It’s not profound, it’s not poetic. It’s just bare. You stated it simply, in a candid moment, a moment you woulda probably cut out of the video, if not for how critical it is for those of us who feel the same, to hear it. The road, the trail, the fresh air, the wildlife and for me… the pubs along the way meeting strangers and hearing stories… this is what kept me alive when I broke. This is where I return when I feel out of touch. This is where my heart heals. I’m lucky enough these days to have not one but two of these places now; at my love’s side, or on Moxie’s two wheels. There once was a time neither existed, and I can’t believe I was a hair’s width from… well from not coasting giddily through the life I now have. To anyone on an edge… be it two wheels, or a random walk, maybe a quicker paced walk, a run, even a random conversation with someone, or a decision to just see what another day has to offer.. Roll on forward and see what’s around the bend.
I bought this bag to use on my Pelago small front rack and it works perfectly. So much better than using any type of basket. I just load it up and roll the top down.
I really love your taste and style always so chic. My faves would be the kislux leather backpack and the Swarovski pave diamond ring so gorg. Thank you for your recommendations.
I really enjoy your videos. I'm looking forward to the bridge opening up, it'll be cool to ride across. I"m in Trenton, Michigan, south of Detroit on the river. Regarding Oakley: I have a prescription pair of their half jackets ,and worth every penny.
Thanks for the compliment, much appreciated. I'm really looking forward to the new bridge opening. I already have a epic route in the works for when it happens. Yes I will definitely be investing prescription sunglasses very soon. Thanks for watching. Cheers
@@WanderingEyeOutdoorAdventures ya, Ontario has so much to offer. We will be back for sure! A lot of changes here in Manitoba. We hope to be upload the next part of our Cross-Canada Tour. Essentially it will be our run from the Ontario border to Ottawa/Gatineau. Cheers
If I were there the road or trail that was blocked would be reported to authorities. Here in New Brunswick we have had landowners and farmers block the trail or layer 00000001, 00000002, 00000003 Layer 1 & 2 are roads, rail, pipeline and power; number 3 is Sled, ATV and other trails; all are 65 and 130 foot wide right of way swaths. In all but one case the offenders have received 6 figure to 7 figure fines the largest was $9,500,000 (up to 2020) to an Ontario forest products company that shut down and left NB. They usually were resulting their homes and barns destroyed and property being added to the Natures Trust protected lands, except for one who paid $121,000 for their error plus legal fees (8 half day court sessions over 4 weeks) while losing her agriculture permits so their 800 head of daily cattle went to slaughter! I know of 13 or 14 actions that the province has taken as of about four years ago, I expect that there has been more since. I reported two of them in 2016 and 2019 (the second resulted in only a warning as the offending person is the only one who corrected their blockage!)
Oh my nephew…. How proud I am of you! This is a stunning video and was such a pleasure to watch. I’m so glad that you have found your passion and calling 💕💕
Skip the first 5 minutes, that's when the bit about the bag starts. I would like to have seen a detailed demo of the operation of the adjustment/locking mechanism which is probably the most important aspect of these bags.
@biketouringadventures it's the opposite here as you know, the days are getting cooler and the sun is going down earlier. I do love the fall though. Cheers
Wide flat bars with minimal rise and backsweep are IMHO painful and useless for most people, unless you’re doing some real hardcore mtb riding. 680mm should be the maximum handlebar width on a new ”average” bike and if you need something wider, you buy the handlebar you need. A bit wider drop bar is the most comfortable one for my body and wrists, but I however purchased a Surly corner bar clone from Ali. I’m also thinking about buying that Jones bar. I have several bikes and it would cost way too much to have drop bars on all of those. I just wish these alt bars wouldn’t be so heavy and sometimes expensive 😅
These have been the most comfortable bars I have used. Yes I also wish the prices were better. But the reality is that cycling in general is a expensive sport/hobby and I don't see that changing anytime soon unfortunately. Thanks for watching. Cheers
I own 2 Ortlieb fork bags and they close with click mechanisms, same you find with chest straps at backpacks, so I don't understand why they went with Velcro here 😑 would love to get one but this seems like a dealbraker
Drone shots, other video footage, music, and editing are all excellent. You're taking things to the next level my friend. I look forward to the 15th :)
Hello. No it does not rattle at all, it is very secure. If you get a chance to watch some of my recent trip videos you will see that we rode some very rowdy trails, the MIK system was solid. Cheers
@@WanderingEyeOutdoorAdventures it was fantastic 🙌🏼 I really appreciate all the feedback of trail conditions, your experience and tips for anyone planning to adventure. The videography is great. I am really enjoying your videos. Thanks for taking the time to share your adventures
