What is the power draw of this device? My car's 12v power port does not automatically switch off when the ignition is turned off and I am concerned the BTC450 will drain my car's battery.

I just got one of these, and I love it! My only issue is when I have the bluetooth on for my phone, it doesn't automatically pair once I turn my car on for some reason. I don't connect my phone with any other bluetooth devices (at least, I haven't yet) so I'm not too sure why this would be an issue. Still, it's not hard at all to manually connect through the phone, but I'd like for it to auto-pair if the functionality is there.

In your phone call demonstration, the caller sounded very low volume, distorted and noisy. Since this was a professional, controlled environment example, it unfortunately makes me wary of the product's quality.

+Ted Levy The quality is great IMO. The phone volume may have been down low. Trust me, when I use the 450 to make/receive calls, it sounds great. You actually need to be careful with your phone volume. If it's TOO high, the volume of the voice on the other end might startle you.

I have a BTC 455 on order that I should recieve in the next week. I understand it is supposed to turn on when you start the car. I'm wondering exactly how this happens as the 12v ports in my Ford Focus are always on even when the car is off.

Im having trouble with my btc450 auto connecting to my phone when i turn on my car. every time i turn it on i have to physically go into my phone and connect it to the btc450 from the setting menu. is there any fix to this?

"... start automatic when your vehicle is powered on". This means that it turns off only if the power supply to the 12V adapter is "cut" by powering off the car?

Then you get an adapter to install one. Or you just get a deck with bluetooth. If you have a cassette player you can use a tape to aux and then a female to female aux adapter to hook into the bluetooth of this device.

Great demonstration, I just have two questions. Can I listen to the regular radio and answer a call? And what about GPS, will Siri talk to me if I'm listening to my radio? Thank you

HI Bianca, The BTC450 needs to be in AUX mode for it to work. So if they are listening to their radio they will not hear anything that's connected to the BTC450 over the car speakers.

That is a really stupid question, how would your radio know your getting a call and switch from Tuner to Aux. Most likely you can answer the call, and they can hear you, but you wont hear them

@@myKinivo I have this extant one and followed the whole steps however when I press play it says it’s connected and working but the sound doesn’t come through it just lets me skip songs and pause them but not play music , can you help what I need to do

Does it have to be in the open? I'd like to stick it in my center console so it's not visible. Is this something the BTC450 Is capable of doing. Will it be too far from the car stereo?

Mine does, and it is awesome. I used to connect my phone via a 3.5mm cable, and sometimes when playing a song the sound was a little too low and I had to keep messing with the volume. With this the sound is much better, and louder.

I would like to know how well, people on the other side of the phone call, can hear you when on the road. Would you make a quick video review for it? Can anyone let me know if the mic has noise cancellation built in? Do calls sound good on the other end while driving with or without the windows up?

Yes, you need the cigarette lighter port for the power, the other cord goes into audio system.

Is your phone synced to the device via Bluetooth? If not, check to see if your BTC450 device is powered and that's it's paired with your phone.

I think it would depend on how your phone can access Google Now via bluetooth. In theory it should work just fine. Haven't tested it myself

It works just fine with Google now. I have it and its a cool device. Plus as an added surprise on my system it seems to boost the levels overall versus having my phone attached to the aux port on its own without this device.

Hi James, BTC450 does support voice commands in the latest Android versions. Older Androids can use a third party app.

If it plays on your phone it will play through the speakers of your car when connected to this unit. What app the phone gets the music from is irrelevant.

I have this device. The sound comes from the guy in the video. He will be in your passenger seat singing your music and relaying to you what your callers are saying.

Then it won't work. The BTC450 does not have an external speaker. You need to connect the aux cable to something that has a speaker.

I was told by the support people that the BCT450 would work with a Monster iCarPlay Cassette Adapter 800 and a female to female adaptor. $10-15 total cost. Have to eject the cassette to listen to the radio..
