Okay I'm just gonna copy and paste my explanation from the Tide Pool Reaction Video to this months ago that's been really helpful to a lot of people so here you go: 'Also I will try to briefly explain some of the symbolism. The theme/concept for this song is video is based on a book called Demian; here is a short plot description of the book: "Emil Sinclair is a young boy raised in a middle class home, amidst what is described as a Scheinwelt, a play on words that means "world of light" as well as "world of illusion". Emil's entire existence can be summarized as a struggle between two worlds: the show world of illusion (related to the Hindu concept of maya) and the real world, the world of spiritual truth. In the course of the novel, accompanied and prompted by his mysterious classmate 'Max Demian', he detaches from and revolts against the superficial ideals of the world of appearances and eventually awakens into a realization of self." There are many themes dealing with the juxtaposition of dark and light, good and evil, ignorant reality and spiritual awakening or enlightenment. In the book Demian is described as having blonde hair and blue eyes which is why Taehyung in the video has blonde hair and blue eyes; he is Demian. Jin the guy looking at the painting in the beginning and who kissed the statue is Emil Sinclair. Him kissing the statue represents him giving in to Demian who represents/is the fallen angel, the lucifer, his 'spiritual awakening' that is why Taehyung has the scars of wings being ripped out on his back and why chaos breaks out after Jin kisses the statue; as you noticed Marys face explodes, the colorful tears, the more lustful shots of them and then Jins face starting to crack representing what he has done to himself spiritually. And there's a lott more symbolism: 1) JHope (the guy with the orange hair) shooting a bow and arrow that splatters multicolored 'paint' representing blood over Taehyung or Demians face 2) Jimin being blindfolded and tied up struggling to break free 3) Taehyung jumping off of the balcony representing suicide, something that in many religions is considered a 'sin' 4) The absinthe that's used (the green alcohol that RM/Namjoon was dropping into water): "Absinthe is traditionally bottled at a high level of alcohol by volume, but it is normally diluted with water prior to being consumed. Absinthe has often been portrayed as a dangerously addictive psychoactive drug and hallucinogen.The chemical compound thujone, although present in the spirit in only trace amounts, was blamed for its alleged harmful effects. By 1915, absinthe had been banned in the United States and in much of Europe, including France, the Netherlands, Belgium, Switzerland and Austria-Hungary." There's still more if you pay attention to the other 5 members members there's things going on with all of them but that should be enough to help you understand the video lol :)'

It has alot of religious symbolism at the beginning of the video when Jin was staring at the painting it was depicting a battle between heaven and hell and while he's looking at the painting their is a black door and a white door on each side of the painting symbolizing a cross road. Also even the statues one is of the God of war Mars holding a dedicated head the other is of the virgin Mary. Thoughtout the song though they all look glamorous and sing in a seductive way the lyrics all have something to do with pain and suffering and make the pain and suffering sound appealing. And wanting more of it cause it seems good.They all sit at the table with a single apple on their plates. The apple is suppose to represent temptation and desire like in the book of Genesis. That's the part when RM starts talking about "the tempter" a.k.a Satan. So at the end of the video when Jin kissed the statue with black wings on the lips it was essentially him making a deal with the devil. V the one who had the scars on his back and smiled represented the devil smiling after Jin sold his soul to him. Then you see the Virgin Mary face explode representing the death of his innocence. And then the blind fold falls off of Jimin who had his eyes covered at the beginning and a blind fold on through alot of it. The blind fold was him being blinded by desire and what was going on around him when it fell he was finally aware and sheds tears after realizing he messed up. When Jin looks in the mirror and sees a crack on his face that's him realizing that he had damaged his old self and made the wrong choose in the end. Woooo 😥 I know this is alot to read but hell it was alot to type I hope u guys take the time out to read it this is my interpretation of the video hopefully you get a better understanding from this

Yeah, V is a fallen angel (specifically Lucifer/the Devil). And Jin kissing the statue/V represents a deal with the devil. When you kiss the devil, you're making a bargain/trading your soul/giving up your innocence. Which was also symbolized when Jin let go of the balloon during RMs narration.

RM, suga and jhope plays the piano. They have pianos in their studio. They had to learn it to produce songs. This is also why jk, their youngest, is currently learning to play the piano. Jimin also plays the piano. In one video, jimin played taeyang's wedding dress. V plays the saxophone while Jin just learned how to play the guitar. Jk also learned how to play drums but gave up halfway. Suga jokes about how jk's interest in things don't last longer than 3 months.

This piano guy was Suga and he knows how to play piano even before he was a rapper, maknae-line (Jungkook, Jimin, Taehyung) can also play piano a bit and Jin can play guitar, too. Even FIRE is not just a hype song as you guys think. There's symbolism in all videos they have done after the end of 2015. Their album eras are divided into categories. You might wanna Google "HYYH" first. All BTS albums in and after HYYH are connected, they have been continuing a storyline, each music video is connected, and us ARMYS have to figure the story out, they just drop hints. So this fandom has been analyzing all their work, developing theories. This is one of the biggest reasons why BTS is different from the typical kpop groups. BTS lyrics are what got me into kpop. I am glad if you could react to the lyrics of Suga's FIRST LOVE and then Suga's SO FAR AWAY. Then you might see why BTS is not that average bubble world boy band, which some people think they are.

Basically, their last album was about youth so the new one , WINGS, is about the transition into adulthood. This comeback was heavily influence by a German book called Demian which talks about the same sort of transition; how you must let go of your sweet childlike self and deal with the temptations of evil in the world to be an adult. In BS&T, the painting Jin looks at is The Fall of Rebel Angels, which depicts when angels rebelled against God and were banished to Earth/Hell. Many say that the two chandeliers represent Jin(pink haired guy) and V(blonde haired guy), as V fooled innocent and pure Jin to make a deal with him - the devil with ripped wings - surrendering himself to temptation and letting go of the innocence of youth to know the evil and struggle of the world, which marks his entering into adulthood. (That is why he kisses the statue, because you must kiss the devil to seal a contract and they can't exactly show both kissing.)

i watched this video like 10times but i notice something new everytime

here's my theory for this, its a bit long but! This MV is said to be connected to the book Damian by Hermann Hesse, a book where a young boy is struggling between two worlds; an illusion world (basically connecting with a spirit, most likely the devil) and the real world, In the beginning of the MV, we see them enter the museum. Yoongi appears to be riding a bike similar to that in the Fire MV. The camera panning over to Seokjin, we see a statue behind him, which to me appears to be a statue of Satan, but it could also reference to Mercurius or Hermes, which the black wings later in the video will come into play. These gods are the Roman Messenger of gods and the god of roads, both thieves or often committed interesting occult missions like guiding the souls to infernal regions and being intermediary to the underworld. The painting that Seokjin is immersed in is The Fall of Rebel Angels by Pieter Bruegal The Elder. This painting is a depiction of a subject taken from a passage from the Book of Revelation, which i think it shows good vs evil because of its depiction of rebel angels being driven from Heaven. Later we see the boys all in a purple room. The only one standing is Yoongi and behind him is a sign saying "The Tempter" which Namjoon also mentions later on but i'll come back to that. When it comes to the main dancing scene, in the middle of the museum, I noticed two statues behind Taehyung and Namjoon, which seems like statues of Satan (or the other gods mentioned before) and Mary and a bright light in between the two, which could signify purgatory; a place between heaven and hell, a place where said after death, you'll need to undergo purification before entering heaven. A scene involving Jungkook, he does a motion that may symbolise praying, which could tie into the whole purgatory symbolism, even if it said to be connected to Damien) A recurring theme seems to be blindness and blindfolding, it first happens with hands coving Jin's face. Then Jimin and Yoongi in a room, a door in between, the purgatory symbol again. The room is also darker than the museum iteself, meaning it could be them in purgatory. Jimin is holding an apple, Yoongi is holding a blindfold; the blinding folding symbol once again. It seems like they're exchanging their items, meaning Jimin is shielding himself from the truth(A reference to the short films leading up to this MV; Jimin was helped see the truth while biting into an a apple) The first hint to the fallen angel aspect to this MV and reference to the painting in the beginning is Taehyung on the balcony when he jumps off. All the boys run out of the museum, which could again be a reference to them entering heaven from purgatory. The only two members left are Seokjin and Taehyung. In that museum, we see the two statues again. In Damien, the God is named Abraxas, whom of which is both good and evil which makes sense for both statues to be in the museum, Mary represents Pure and Good and Satan represents Evil. Then another reference to blindfolding when Taehyung covers Seokjin's eyes, which then reveals a statue with black angel wings, of which he kisses. This reveals to the fact that Taehyung is actually a fallen angel; fallen angels are those who committed sins and lose their wings because they're not privileged to use them anymore. Taehyung lost them when he murdered his father (a reference to another MV; I NEED U) This marks the first sin he has committed in his life. With Seokjin kissing the statue, this is his choice to stay in purgatory for the time being. "He too was a tempter. He too was a link to the other second, the evil in which I no longer wanted to have anything to do with" is Namjoon's verse, which I mentioned before, the reference to "The Tempter" sign behind Yoongi in the beginning. When the statue beings to cry bright paint, it could symbolise that Seokjin was supposed to follow the other members and leave, but was lured by the Tempter, Taehyung. With Seokjin cracking in the end, this could be him turning into a fallen angel or another creature.

The meaning is that Jin (pink hair, fancy collar) is kinda god (his name is Abraxas), while V the blonde guy is Devil. The kiss symbolises a pact with the Devil. Devil was an angel which name was Lucifer ("The morning light") but he haven't been obedient to the god, that's why he lost his wings. Abraxas isn't a good god, he is more neutral. The vision is much more wider, RM and Suga are two guys who knows about other dimensions (long story), one of this two is the bad guy (probably Suga. In the scene V is jumping from the balcoon we can see Suga with this dark hair-ribbon) ready to blind Jimim. Jimin and Jungkook are the two blinded by lies. J-Hope is an neutral angel. I suggest you to watch japanese version of this MV too :) The whole Wings album is based on "Demian" book by german noblist Hermann Hesse. I'm reading it now, it's incredible.
