RM is the leader, so he is kind of like the spokesman for the group.

HISTORY💜💜💜 They don’t own bighit they are under the company. YG , SM , & JYP are the top 3 companies in South Korea. BTS were doubted and people went against them because they were from a small company that nobody knew about. Anddd the reason that RM is always giving a thanks speech or is the first one to start it is because he is the leader and that’s what they do. sea by BTS the piano is Awake by Jin(who is part of BTS) Spring day by BTS Born singer BTS

In fact they have achieved even more than what is in the video, they have 2 songs with gold certificates by RIAA (in USA) and one of them is totally in Korean, They have 2 awards for iHeartRadio (as I understand the most listened American radio), Highest sales, #1 on iTunes in more than 65 countries, millions of listeners around the world, concerts outsold in Europe, Asia and Latin America (with more than 60,000 attendees) etc... possible world tour this year... They have grown so much that they never imagined, and I as an fan, who saw them fail before winning i'm very proud, because what you see in that video is in fact very little of what they really went through, there were harder moments. Because their company was small and poor before (BigHit is their company) they received many teasing in their own Korean industry, they were known as "idols of the small company without anything special" and nobody NEVER imagined that they would become so successful ( in fact, according to the Forbes world magazine, they are the most successful Korean artists of all time), poverty, hunger, many things... just DAMN they are very strong and incredible, i admire them deeply. Well guys, he was right. It was CNN...they talked a bit about BTS because it was big news at the time.

The $2 food Suga mentioned as "jja jiang myeon". It is noodles with black bean sauce (it is supposedly chinese food, however Korean's version is totally different from the original versions from China). I would say it is a "humble" food that would fill your stomach at a low price...

on december 1st 2017, when they won artist of the year, i felt terrible. they had JUST walked off the stage from performing mic drop and that was a long performance. they had like 2 or 3 dance breaks in between, and they were exhausted. but it’s like they got rewarded for putting on a great show and giving so much effort.

I noticed you guys liked some of the songs used in the video, so here I will leave a list of them: 1. Sea (lyrics video) 2. Spring Day (Music video/it has eng sub) (That's the song for which they won Best Song of the Year at MMA) 3. Born Singer (performance live video with eng subs or just lyrics video) They are more sad, slow songs but still beautiful, meaningful and shows their story as BTS and individuals.

4:37 Suga was talking about his hardships that he went through before when he start writing music selling music before joining BTS...sometimes he had to decide if he should eat or save it to ride the bus home and sometime people don’t pay him!

I liked this video a lot, the reaction was great. They now have 8 daesangs (3 Artist of the Years, 3 Album of the Years, 1 Song of the Year, 1 Global Artist), their highest on Billboard Hot 100 is #28, their highest on Billboard 200 is #7, they have gotten #1 on iTunes in 73 countries including the US, they've been on Ellen, Jimmy Kimmel, and The Late Late Show With James Corden and the list goes on. Their album Love Yourself: 'Her' has sold 1.6 million+ copies and broke the record for the highest selling Korean album ever in history.

The song at the beginning is Sea! It's a hidden track on Love Yourself: Her. It's a really gorgeous song. We ARMYs get really emotional about it. The last song is their version of Born Singer, you can find it on their Soundcloud. It's really incredible. I'd love to see you guys react to the Spring Day MV, the song they won Song of the Year for in 2017. Both the MV and the song are really, really amazing.

in south korea there are entertainment companies which train people and help them become idols( singers, dancers, actors, models) and help them achieve their dream (they either debut individually but mostly under groups). there are so many entertainment companies but only JYP, SM and YG are considered the "BIG THREE" companies there. then there are other ent. companies. each member of BTS joined BIGHIT and they were trained under the company, which is why they always thank BIGHIT in their speeches. BTS made history because BTS helped BIGHIT beat the "BIG THREE" companies and they even recorded the highest profit for 2017.

The ultimate reason among thousands of reasons to stan this artist (BTS) is attitude. Attitude is what makes them great and humble.

the fact that RM's first word when he's saying his speech when they won an award is 'ARMY'.

The reason why RM speaks for them so much is because as his role of the group Leader it's his responsibility to speak for the group first, it also doesn't hurt that he's fluent in English and is able to speak during English interviews and act as a translator for his group mates. Leaders in Korea pop groups normally have to speak first, RM has even expressed how he feels weird speaking first as he knows his friends have things they want to say and feels weird being the leader of his Hyungs. He's been trying to get his mates to speak during award shows and interviews instead of him.

They suffered a lot and it's really sad. In kpop industry big company or decent company support is very important. Unlike small, unknown companies, many artists fail to get success. BTS was about to get disband but they believe in themselves and the fans. The people, media, kpop industry in general threw a lot of shade on BTS, some people from other fandoms made fake plagiarism accusations, made petition, trended hate hashtags etc... it's so Disgusting. BTS is truly an inspiration. Honestly success after failure is the BEST ONE! Because it teach you so many things and you appreciate things and not take things for granted. Which is what BTS does. I love to hear their award speech it's so humble and so inspirational. RM always begin speech with 'ARMY' they know ARMY work a lot. It's great they know all this and they don't just thank us on stage when they get award but on social media whenever they get the chance they always say thanks and appreciate our hard work. Their music talk about real issues. That's the only reason I prefer BTS. They inspire me to work hard.

Korean music/acting/entertainment industry is dominated by 3 companies with $$$, connections, political affiliations and the access to world's best producers and choreographers. So BTS dominating.. coming from a small, unknown company out of HUNDREDS of companies and hundreds of groups was a surprise. It's cool that you did this!

*Jajangmyun* is /Black Bean Noodles/ - a type of instant ramen noodles- you can get it in restaurants but it's sold as instant ramen packs too. It's cheap and easy to make so obviously, if he could barely afford it- it shows how much struggle they had, to even eat.

Namjoon is the leader of the group which is why he's always mainly doing the talking and taking the lead basically. Those awards were basically Korean awards.

That one dude talking 2:53, he even said again, that he was gonna slap BTS in the head whenever he sees them, this was long ago, but idk why he talking while they got more successful. As BTS said, "all the hate makes us succeed" and I'm glad they're on top. When it comes to dealing hate with BTS, it's usually our job to keep it away and not letting them see it. Yes they are going to deal with hate, we get that. But we're still not gonna let it stop them from being successful. We are one family 🌷 fighting. I truly love our fandom

Thanks for sharing your reaction on this video. A couple of things in the video are not accurate but overall, it does show BTS’ journey. They are truly an example of David in the face of Goliath (small company in the face of established large companies and their music business as a whole). They also serve as a great reminder to not give up. The video always shows RM speaking but other members did too. They just weren’t included in this video. 💕
