This song has so many political layers. They were almost blacklisted by the government of that time because of the song. Such as in Suga’s verse when he says “We’re all dogs, pigs”. The government official referred to lower class citizens as “pigs and dogs” This song is truly underrated for how important the lyrics and their meaning are.
Crow tit is a bird (it’s itty bitty ☺️) but it holds specific symbolism in korean society. They’ve spoken about the comparison of a stork and a crow tit in their song “Baepsae” (the korean name/word for Crow Tit) where storks are those in society with golden spoons (older generation, ppl w/ money, government, etc) and crow tits are everyone else trying to catch up (younger generation, poor ppl, etc.)
A fanbase on twitter summed up the message of the song saying: "In Am I Wrong, BTS addressed a deep, detailed and yet subtle criticism to the corrupt government, the indifferent elite and all those who cover their eyes, ears and mouths with apathy to the burning world around them." If u see the explanation of their musics n uderstand exactly what they'r saying its a whole new experience But a anyway thats a such good song~
BTS risked being blacklisted by the govt to release this song... When they said they were beginning a revolution in N.O they weren't lying! Am I Wrong and spring day proves that!
Thanks for the reaction. They have a new song out this Friday. "Butter" is coming out on the 21st of May and it's amazing. The teaser already has over 17m views in just 10 hours.
This song is so underrated love it! Also crow-tit is a small bird with short legs, they use this as a metaphor for the young generation and the stork with long legs as older generation There is a whole song just about this societal problem called Baepsae (Crow-tit) I recommend watching it along with the DKDKTV explanation for Baepsae as there are lyrics that don’t translate well and other background information non Koreans would catch that you would appreciate since you guys usually dig into lyrical meaning
Woo! You went “old school” BTS. Great choice! That clappin Nawlins vibe. (Yes Noah! That clap!) I should point out that live performances are always better and most often have subtitles. I’m a huge fan of this live. Their fits are incredible. In agreement with others. A paired lyric and live performance would give you and others a great rounded experience.
Like someone else has mentioned crow tit is a reference to their song Baepsae. Definitely check out Baepsae, but do the explanation video first and check out the lyrics, it's is one of my favorite songs. You guys will appreciate the depth of meaning. 💜💜💜💜💜💜💜
Y'all really should look up the live performance of this song...It's extremely good! Imagine being this brave at their ages to make this song and perform it live on a stage!!! And I absolutely LOVE Keb Mo' (that's the sample), so this one is a win/win/win for me!! Thanks guys...I've been waiting patiently for this one!
you should also watch mvs and live performances of the songs you've already listened to, you will like them, sometimes they elaborate more on what the song is.
Guys, Hip Hop Lover is the song yall should’ve listened to a while ago. Please do when you have time! It’s so good! Edit: This version is the best to listen to as it has the best translations: ru-vid.com/video/%D0%B2%D0%B8%D0%B4%D0%B5%D0%BE-WleGSAzWdFU.html. The song is also known as Hip Hop Phile. It's the same song! Thanks for the great reactions as always. Am I wrong is one of my favorite BTS songs.
I wish you guys would have watched the performance as well. BTS puts just as much thought into how they perform their songs, especially the political ones, as they do the lyrics. Like you guys almost have to do Baepsae now lol. Espcially if you want to understand that crow-tit reference.
also i saw this comment and i agree, i think it would be great if you react to the performances or choreo along with the song. It helps give a better understanding of the song, they really know how to match it well (:
thier song is such 🔥🔥there beat is hyped that someone whose not diging on its lyrics and message will think that its just a hyped song..but once you look into its meaning you will probably see how intense and meaningfull /impactfull thier song was...BAEPSAE/SILVER SPOON is an example of this ..such a hyped beat with awsome choreography but the meaning behind this is on🔥.
There are explanation video's for this song. So you can find out the different messages in this song. Also watch one of the live versions of this song. It is really an underrated song.
If you have not seen already, you for sure need to check out BTS live performance of this song. It's fun and energetic. Jimin slays vocals in the bridge while dancing smoothly and hitting a high note.
You guys should watch the dance practise or a live performance for this song, the choreo goes SO HARD and seeing Jimin dance while hitting that damn high note blows me away everytime
i love this reaction so much !! i hope you can also do bts performance reactions to the songs you watch the lyrics to which make them so much more impactful, thank you for all your hard work :)
Ohh this color coded lyrics actually were very good. This all animals have important message and this song is so short but have so much in it. Great song.
I was bopping to this so hard when it was just released.... and read the lyrics and now I dont know how to feel when I bop to it. Its too deep for a banger. ❤️ Anyway still such a great song tbh. Love your reactions!
Actually this song had stage performances. But since this song contains a lot of political thingy, the stage is usually cut off 1 chorus at music show. But if you guys wanna check them out, the dance is great too.
Crowtit is a kind of bird that has very long legs. To understand that "crowtit" reference, you guys need to check out their song titled "spine breaker" and after that watch the explained video of it. They were talking about education system and working opportunity, everything about being youths in korea which is full of extreme competitions. Being the deep thinker you guys are, i think you will like the message behind spine breaker a lot :)
Though its my first time in your channel but i'm gonna subscribe right now coz I already loved your reaction... ❤ Now I'm gonna watch whole playlist...✨✨
*BAEPSAE/CROW TIT/TRY-HARD etc.* Baepsae is a very small Korean bird, called Crow tit in English. There is a common korean idiom/ saying : "the crow tit will break it's legs trying to walk like a stork". Storks are big with long legs, crow tits tiny with short legs. Other translations include try-hard and poser. Basically trying to be something that your not. In the song Not today they use crow tit as part of the lyrics. And ofcourse BTS use crow tit/try hard/baepsae in the song Baepsae that you really really should check out if you haven't yet and do watch the DKDKTV a koreans explanation in the same reaction after listening to it so you get the meaning of it fully. Great song! I can have it on repeat for hours some days.
Oh i wished you checked out a live performance to this as well because their choreo to this is just like a big middle finger to those in power that needed to be called out on
I was wating for this since I watched the Strange reaction video For me *Am I wrong* is a message from people entering their twenties, in the song they put their confusion and realization about a system they're starting to know, and *Strange* it's a more organized/deep discussion where RM a suga present different points of view about the system they have been living in for some years now
Crow Tit is actually a thing in Korea. It’s basically stones thrown and millennials lol but like if a swan or a stork are these successful graceful adults and the older gen who knew what they were doing with their lives. Crow tit are the younger gen who don’t do anything with their lives. You should check out their song Silver Spoon (bapsae) for a great commentary song on that whole principle
Now you HAVE to do Baepsae (sp? Aka silver spoon) to understand crow-tit. While the lyric video is important for this, you also have to watch the DKDK TV explained and a live performace/dance practise. Its a must for this song.
Id recommend to read doolset bangtan English lyrics for better understanding since they explain the hidden meanings behind some metaphors which only Koreans understand. Some of her lyrics are used in fanmade bts live stages videos so you can watch those too. Get to see their performance and understand the lyrics
