We will still have BTS content, like Run BTS, and other content, just not music. They will do some things on their own, starting with Jungkook- his collab song with Charlie Puth comes out next Friday, and in mid July J-Hope's first album comes out and he is performing at Lolapalooza as the closing headliner July 31st, and V is doing a new version of In the Soop with his good friends starting at the end of July. We also have to see what's going to happen with military enlistment, the announcement is coming around the middle of next week.

It was hard seeing how upset they got fearing to disappoint ARMY but we will always support them in each of their endeavors. Wishing them all the best in experiencing their personal experience being in the public or just living privately. ARMY for life 💜💜💜💜💜💜💜

Let's just think that these grown up, successfull men wants to experience the things that us normal people take for granted everyday. Let them be lazy, fall in-love, do their simple hobbies and have a rest. We will support their individual work & We will wait for them together no matter what. "APO BANGPO!" Oh, and this was coming since MOTS7. The tour was supposed to be their goodbye and then they could have started their break back then, but the pandemic ruined everything. And I think they decided to keep going because they didn't want to leave ARMY during an already difficult time. They sacrificed themselves again, for two years, to make us happy. I'm indebted to them so much.

As a grandma army, my heart breaks for them, the pressure of constant production, work, wanting to please everyone. I want them to also marry, have children, do whatever they want without the rule of company policy. I look forward to their individual work and should they return will embrace them even if they slow down on the powerful choreography, standing with just a mic. I except whatever bts future holds. "Apo, Bangpo" is a phrase JK came up with that means ARMY forever, Bangtan forever. They really are a group who appreciates their fanbase. That's the most hurtful thing about all off this, from the beginning one of their messages was to not let the expectations of other lead your path. I hate the idea that they felt pressure to continue when they weren't feeling like themselves just to live up to the expectations of ARMY. I fully support their need to live life on their own terms, because every young person needs that opportunity to discover themselves and survive away from their family units. I look forward to everything they accomplish during this time starting with Hobi's new album and solo stage.

I’m pretty sure they have their own places for at least 4 years now. They were not exactly living together, they just had that place for when they had promotions and work, maybe jk didn’t since they said his place is still so raw, but as you watch run bts, and all the shows from the last 4 years is clear that they already had a place of their own. I think they never talked openly about it it’s because they were trying to go with some armys idea of unit and friendship no matter what.

I got a feeling that Bang PD was the one to speak out for the BTS members to the HYBE Board of Directors to let the boys have a break from group music/promotions and spend more personal time to pursue their dreams/passion for music and other interests. Glad that Bang PD/Big Hit Music still has the authority to protect and support the boys from HYBE and stakeholders coz their share value had dropped after this announcement. Anyway, RM and JK came out on Vlive and clarify again thus, the stock value had gone up slightly. The boys had been working very hard and non-stop (except a few short vacations) since trainee days. If not for Bang PD supporting them, I'm sure HYBE management would continue to work them to their "bones" like those mobile games, webtoons, many advertisements and other "money churning" projects which I think the boys were not really keen on. Making good music is their main focus and passion. The HYBE CEO even spoke at a press conference and to shareholders that BTS would win a Grammys in 2022. But Namjoon spoke otherwise during one of his Las Vegas ending ment that BTS came to LV not for the Grammys but for Concerts for the ARMYs. Namjoon even mentioned that they were exhausted and had lost their directions after the release of "ON" and "Dynamite". They didn't expect Dynamite to chart No. 1 on Billboards. Thus, HYBE saw the potential of releasing more English songs so came Butter and PTD which they had no hand in the music production (mainly Western producers) and not much song writings with beautiful lyrics like before. Namjoon said they want to make sincere and genuine music. At this point of their lives, they're not aiming for more awards/accolades but living for their happiness, passion for their music and pursuing other personal interests. As their military "exemption or not" has become a serious and never-ending topic among the SK various government bodies, other entertainment companies and fellow countrymen, they might as well take a break, pursue their music/interests and see how it goes from here. I'm sure they want to honour and serve their country coz they won't want to be condemned or leave a stigma for the rest of their lives as musicians trying to "evade" military service. I'm glad that they had released their Anthology Album where every listener (ARMY and non-fans) can appreciate and enjoy their songs like a guide of their history, roots, different genres and even raw demo of unreleased songs. Hope the boys stay healthy, happy and best wishes for all their future endeavours! Sorry for the long comment. Just sharing my thoughts.

I cannot imagine being so very young and signing your life to the Idol system. They were all in their teens, some early teens. The person one is at 15 is so not the person one is at 30, 40, 50.... It really all makes sense. They really all need to be set free from the expectations and rules that are so oppressing. Somehow it does feel like a break-up with a significant other that is the right thing to do but is still so bitter sweet. Eventually there will be so much happiness, just not this minute. They were planning this for a long time but it got held back because of the pandemic. We wish them the best. In fact, their content will be more now because they will be all promoting their own thing. They promise to come back together. They have to do their military duty which is mandatory. Maybe in 5 years.

As an army of 5 years, I've been seeing this coming for a long time now. And I am honestly so glad they are finally taking a break. What i'd really wish for BTS and what I think would be best for them is to separate themselves from the kpop industry completely. I know it's hard especially in Korea and as much as I love their content, I wanna see them freed from the restrictions of this industry. BTS has revolutionized K-pop, an incredibly toxic industry and paved the way for real authenticity but I think it's time to leave now. Another boy group, GOT7 has recently left their company and are now independent artists and I think BTS could to that too, Jungkook is also very close with one of the members and I definitely think they are heading more towards this direction. As RM said, let's wish that they will come together without having to think about the rules of this world.

They will most likely do an appearance at the World Cup this year. They are also have the Formula 1 next year. Wednesday HYBE mention BTS will be at Busan EXPO in 2030. The show Run BTS will also be happening.

I have been BTS J-ARMY for almost 8 years. I'm really proud of Yoongi. I believe Yoongi is the most understand Nam-joon's situation, feeling and songwriter as musician. Groups in Korea has members that go solo and come back with the group. BTS hasn't done that. They should have long ago. Now, they all are going solo together. This has been coming since after ON.

They have been really tired, but we will still see them. It's not a disbandment or hiatus, just a short break and more focus on themselves. 💜

Yes, there is so much content - not just BTS' music and Run BTS, but the Mixtapes, covers, OSTs, official BTS docu series/movies of their tours, Bon Voyage, In The Soop... And the list goes on and on! We might already get new OT7 music even before you are through all the material - not to mention, we will get all the solo content!! I see busy times ahead for ARMY 😅. This plan of resting from group activities was originally after their MOTS 7 Tour but covid happened...they could have just went on with the plan but I think they felt that ARMY need some comforting dealing with the lockdown & covid that's why they made Dynamite & BE album & the online concerts. I saw an article today saying BTS' life experience was a recipe for a nervous breakdown, and much as I want to go there and defend the boys, the article was right. They're so put upon by their country, fans, and the world in general. Half want them to continue producing music even when they have given most of their ANPAN head (ref. ANPANMAN) and need to go back to the bakery and replenish ASAP. Fortunately, our men are doing this now, taking time to relieve the pressure, finding their artistic identities, gaining new experiences, and trying new things. Thank goodness they have their country's blessing to delay their enlistment until age 30 (via the Order of Merit) unlike other SK men who have to enlist by 28. We have them longer, but now it's time to let them do their own thing.

You know J-Hope will be in Chicago starting it all off at Lalapallosa? His album is set to released mid-July. I just am happy that they finally get to take a break from the massive schedule and focus on themselves. My heart broke when RM lost his ability to hold back his feelings, this has been their life for 9 years(actually longer if you think about pre-debut) being away from family, not being able to explore relationships(that we know of) they worked so hard but haven't been able to really enjoy the fruits of their labor. It serves as a reminder to all of us, we have to make time for ourselves. We have to love ourselves enough to do that. For some, like BTS, it can be the hardest thing to do because we don't want to let others down who care about us. So I think the best thing we can do for BTS is do the same thing, and maybe keep some kind of record of how we loved ourselves enough to do things we have wanted to do but for some reason we couldn't/didn't. That would be a great gift to them, I think. We all get stuck in the race, what's expected, but what would really make you happy? I hope everyone can be happy, get rid of the stress of what is expected, and pursue something that brings real meaning to your lives. Cheers🍷To a happy life💜

I want them to have a fullfilled personal lives, with romantic relationships and friends and all that. But I never ever want them to be public about that. The amount of crazy fans that pollute the SS when the members even look at a girl/guy for 2s is astonishing, I cannot even imagine the pandemonium that would errupt when for example V or JK or Jimin comes to an event hand in hand with a partner...just no. On the other hand if they want to to that, they should absoutely have the option to do so, as any other person with their significant other. it´s just complicated. I want them happy and at peace so that they can make good music for us in any way shape or form they choose.

I really want you guys to continue the Rise of Bangtan series until the end. The series is amazing and only keeps getting better. Also your right, this gives them a lot of time for life experiences, they also have to deal with the military thing, and they want to focus on solo work. 💜

They really need this break. They deserve this break. Possibly this break is also made in preparation for the forthcoming military service. Jin will probably have to enlist at the end of this year. Suga will have to enlist next year followed by RM & J-Hope the following year and then V & Jimin and lastly Jungkook. All in all we may probably see BTS together after a lapse of 4 to 5 years when all of them complete their military service duties. I am feeling the empty nest syndrome now.

I think when they have their families they’ll still keep them pretty private. I hope they’ll feel comfortable talking about them but with their popularity they’ll probably keep it on the DL. The culture is a bit different so with a lot of these groups they keep their families very hidden and put stickers all over their pictures to cover their identities. All these years in, bts has done a pretty good job keeping their families private, and I’d almost think they’d be even more diligent with their kids than they already are. With the military it’ll be a while before we see them all together but we’ll find out when they get there. Cant wait to see how massive the comeback is

I’m going to the j-hope show at lollapalooza in July. The first solo concert out of the 7 members. Tickets are still available I think. And I plan to attend any shows that other members do solo in the U.S.

It's not that they're staying away from e/o or disbanding. They wanna put solo stuff forefront now maybe one or two years. They were already doing personal stuff and aren't restricted from dating etc. They just wanna have individual creative time without much group schedule

MCA you can relate as your kids are in their 20’s. I’ve sent my boys off the college. You are sad because you won’t have those day-to-day interactions, but know they’re off for incredible experiences that they’ll come back and share with you. When my sons pulled out of the driveway with their uhaul I’ll never forget the cheesy smiles on their faces! We waved, smiled back, and then went back into the house and cried like babies. (They are all graduated, one married with a son of his own on the way). I’m looking forward to seeing how they’ve grown as artists and men.

Last time they announced their break, I was so sure I could catch up with all the BTS content but lol I didn't make a dent. They kept us soooooo busy. My god. And yes it's been planned out, they have been easing us in this direction some time ago. Haha been looking back 2020 had clues already. Don't worry, all ARMY got hit by a truck from this announcement. Haha old or new. Can't lie, I was sad because this was supposed to be the start of our "spring day" right? But it feels like our spring day is still also YET TO COME. I'm just glad that they're taking time to love themselves more. I'm excited for what they have for us. Many things in line already, JK's collab next week, Hobi's album next month and Hobi Headlining Lollapalooza in Chicago next month too, we'll also get In the Soop with Taehyung and his other friend group. This is what we know so far but don't worry, BTS will keep us busy. That for sure.

Then when they announced the Las Vegas concerts, I thought well maybe I can get tickets this time -- and I did! If you had asked me a year ago whether I’d spend money on flights, hotel, etc. “just to see a concert” I would have said I can’t imagine doing that. Now I’m so glad I did! Carpe diem, my friends.💜

It was a shock and yes, most of us have already seen it. If you look at the past seven months the clues were all there. Three members sold most of the Hybe stock in early December, 2021; JK's comments at the AMA's: "second chapter"; V going to the fashion show on his own; V being listed as doing "In the SOOP" with his actor buddies; J-Hope being a headliner in Chicago and of course Suga collab with Psy. In retrospect it all makes sense. I do wonder what Jimin was alluding to when he was saying there is so much they can't share with us. I honestly don't think they have actually been living together for a while although I could be wrong. The K-Pop industry has some strict guidelines that seem unrealistic to me as a woman who grew up in the US with no knowledge of K-Pop. There are some very interesting documentaries about K-Pop you might enjoy reacting to. One comment I remember is that they can't have girlfriends because their fan base is supposed to be their girlfriend/boyfriend. I agree with you as far as the content to catch up on, I've never watched a Run BTS episode or In the Soop. I can spend my time on those until they come back as well as, of course, supporting them as individual artists and getting to know a new side of them. I send them love and light, all true ARMY just wants them happy.

I hate the fact that they cant share everything with us, but i understand why. Cuz right now all eyes are watching them. For army, ofc they will understand their sincerity, but for outsiders, them, being sincere like this, and being vulnerable like this, cause a lot of different perspective, even after this talk got uploaded, a lot of media already twisted their word as this "bts going on hiatus, disband, etc" when in reality, they never said anything like that, its a miss translation on the word "hiatus" in there. But, even though yoongi himself said they r not disbanding, and they still work as bts, all the media still making a big headline about those stupid disband agenda, not just in us media, but also in korea, those so called journalist, sold this garbage clickbait article and make a big fuss abt it. Enough to make namjoon and jk make another clarification that they are still doing bts project and not hiatus as bts and also they will be focusing more on the solo work. And i hate all that kind of journalist who did that, cuz that is the reason why they cant be open abt everything with us, and that is what makes them sad, and make us army sad too, not bcz of the them taking a fun time more doing solo work, but bcz of this situation that makes them hard to be completely honest with us. Yes, it's a bummer for all those folks that never got to see BTS in concert. I have a 94-year old Army pen pal that was counting on seeing them one day. 😥 You all could at least catch j-hope at Lollapalooza next month. Chicago's not that far from Ohio, right? 😉

Yeah with the members having relationships part at the end. It's a different thing over in Korea. In Korea, Idols are somewhat kind of like Disneyland performers here where they have to stay "in character" all the time. Part of the character Idols play is "perfect boyfriend"/"perfect girlfriend" ideals for fans. So when an Idol who gets in a relationship, it creates a scandal in Korea. Almost all of us international fans and even some of the Korean fans don't agree with it and think they should be able to date freely/publicly. But that part of K-Pop culture hasn't fully changed yet unfortunately. Everyone knows K-Pop Idols all do date in secret though usually. So it's definitely happening, in general, but we don't know about it unless Dispatch (basically Korean TMZ) leaks it with paparazzi photos and stuff.

The official announcement came 6th of December - but I didn‘t think it through. Everything was already said back then - the chapter - their own time with exploring things, the album and the concerts but no year end shows. They still have activities as a group but not musically. So we still have their activities individually. We will see what happens next. JK and CP song, Hobi with a new album and Lollapalooza … there will be a lot.

So sad but i will support them. They have given Army so much. Its their time to live on their own and gonna be so expensive for us Army. 7 albums instead of 1. Enjoy the variety show Run BTS. 90% of it is fun. Pure fun the 10% are more of Korean culture staff i couldn’t understand. And i have not seen BTS in person too. My dream to watch concert this year or next crashed. My happiness should be next to their so i will move on. We will all move forward cheering all 7 of BTS
