BTS have NEVER done bundling. The only bundling was for their Love Yourself tour (for Love Yourself: Answer album), but it was AFTER the album charted. So it really didn't affect charting, just later sales. And the "bundling" some ppl believe they use is not even theirs. It's simply stores sell "bundles" of their merch but it's not associated with BTS's selling strategy. That's on the stores, like when u see "bundles" of cleaning merch and get discounts in it. In south Korea, the big companies use "chart manipulation" to promote their artists, it's one of the dark side of the Korean music industry, but BigHit didn't have the budget to do it and now they don't need to. At the last MAMA award show, Jin made a statement about this, wishing an industry without this kind of toxic behavior. BTS are just another kind of artists, and ARMY will support them because we are in the same boat FOREVER. ✊💜

I'm pretty sure they were not talking about the big companies though. It was an issue regarding some unknown artists and even Ravi from VIXX and IU commented on it on their insta, so yeah. It was a really good thing for bts to speak about it, because they have a huge influence and are in a position where they can be heard (if that makes sense), and it also shows their genuine love for music and how deeply they care about their craft. One thing I love about them is how they use their platform to spread positivity, in every aspect.

Their last album that dropped on February 21, 2020 called *MAP OF THE SOUL 7* had over 4 million in presale orders in physical albums. These orders were placed without knowing the album cover art or tracklist. The reason? We had complete faith, love and support in the music they create. 😭💜 I'm not sure what the current sales in numbers are in both physical albums & digital ones. I'm sure it's more.
BTS sold the most number of Physical album (not including digital copies) this year and last year in America without bundles. They also sold out stadiums like Rose Bowl, Citifield etc. plus Wembley Stadium and other European and Asian stadiums 60,000 plus capacity in a day. radio still not playing them even when we scored #4 on bb hot 100 , it was over 85k sales and streams and 0 radio play , in short , their company should pay $$ to radios and the boys should sing in ENGLISH so bts gonna get spins but they didnt do it , and their latest album sold 4M copies without bundles , scored number #1 on 21 countries include the 5 biggest music market but there was no media coverage for them but when media want some traffic they write articles about bts wearing black shirt or have piercing or whatever , i hope you got what i mean , ARMY we try our best to make BTS achievements very known , for the tour , yeah it postponed , and prices are not that bad , just dont buy from third parties or from twt , many US shows are sold out already , ticketing for europe is postponed so i hope after covid 19 go you ll go to their concert since its an amazing experience

The thing I don’t think you understand (based off the cut from broadcast comment) is Kpop is an EXTREMELY competitive industry. These companies get hundreds of trainees and they work them to the bone (Hence the 12-16 hour a day practice) they train and train all day long and new groups are formed by the 100’s every year. At the start of BTS like you know Bighit was a nobody. The company had just started up and didn’t have any money. The “Big 3” we’re already well established and had many successful groups under their belts. It’s all competition and it’s said they were cut from broadcasts because well...it’s never been proven but it’s said that the bigger more successful companies pay off the broadcasts to cut/not promote/ etc these groups from other companies. It happens all the time here in the US as well. They weren’t cut because people didn’t like the genre or weren’t putting out what they thought others would like. It’s just an extremely competitive industry, cut throat, you against us. They didn’t want Big Hit coming in and stealing the show, but, they did despite everything they were put through, and here we are...Best group on the planet. 💜
here is the fan video where bts was cut from the broadcast. If you notice all confetti is on the stage, no camera men. They are in their street clothes & shoes. ARMY in large number showed up to support and after hours of taping to find out BTS was not going to perform was upsetting. ARMY moved forward and got seats surrounding the stage. BTS went out on the stage and performed the 2 songs they had prepared. Big Hit Managers got them to turn on some lights and play their back track because so many ARMY's rushed down and surrounded the stage and w came to support them. I just watched the cut from broadcast show.. It's so sad that it happened in Busan, where Jimin & JK came from.. And they were already a widely-known group but still got the unfair treatment just because their company doesn't have power.. It really messed up..But ARMY always there to support them. All ARMY bought physical albums because correctives items as CD are so beautiful, photo book and poster. I put all BTS albums on the shelf and decorate nicely. I'm 63 my husband called me crazy BTS grandma. My husband love BTS too because BTS make me happy.

Radio loves to talk about BTS and always find one way or another to drag ARMY into the conversation for clicks and likes. However, this is all superficial clout because they have yet to spin any BTS song during comeback season and even well after when requests are at an all-time high. MOT:7 had the highest streaming song worldwide WITHOUT BUNDLES AND WITHOUT RADIO PLAY because we are actually listening to their music, buying physical albums and streaming on music platforms. BTS has the realist numbers in the entire music industry and Americans love to downplay it as crazy 12 year olds. I wonder how 12-year-olds pre-purchased over 59K BTS sponsered Hyundai Palisade cars in 2018, imagine ARMY power today.
If Namjoon takes time to write all his wisdoms and motivational speeches, Jin to write his cook book and jokes, Yoongi to write how to compose 365 songs a year, Hoseok to write a dance guideline for experts, Jimin to write a book on how to be cute yet sexy in this modern age, Taehyung to write a photobook, and Jungkook to write a compilation of all the hobbies that he has excelled then I'm sure the Pulitzer Prize is most definitely achievable in the future 😆😆😆
oof the thing you said about going to a bts concert being priceless hit so hard. i remember almost two years ago, before my mom really understood bts' impact on people and how much the molded me into a better person etc etc, she got so confused because i came home from a bts concert and couldn't stop crying. like literally the entire half hour drive home from newark and then probably for another half hour at home, i was just on and off sobbing. she thought i was upset or smth but the reason i was crying so much (which she over Time started to understand) was because it was my first time seeing them live and it was so emotionally overwhelming. to see these guys who've changed your life and saved your life, and be surrounded by thousands of others like you who practically feel like family... just the amount of pure happiness you feel at a bts concert... i can only describe it as euphoric. it feels like if you could bottle up that energy it could light a city for a year or smth. there's literally no price you can put on being at a bts concert.
yes, I am one of those army who traveled to South Korea solely for attending their Love Yourself Speak Yourself The Final Concert and lined up 6 hours for the BTS Pop-up store, I was into BTS since 2018 only, and I am 41-yrs-old worked in a listed firm as top management, never under-estimate BTS Army ;)

FYI Fabrizio, a Pulitzer Prize for music composition is presented "for distinguished musical composition by an American that has had its first performance or recording in the United States during the year” by Columbia University - so BTS wouldn’t qualify. That final large stadium you asked about is Jamsil Olympic stadium in Seoul, BTS always start and finish in Seoul. You should look at videos of how there concert experience is. BIG HIT actually has made statements about changing the way a guest attends a concert, from making it a giant event outside as well as inside.

I think they really are friends now: BTS gifted her a personalized microphone and autographed albums ; Halsey obsequiated them friendship bracelets, and sweets :D They performed together that song at the Billboard, and their interaction (behind the scenes) were really cute. John Cenna admitted himself that he is an army and that his favourite is J-Hope.
BTS performed at New Year's Rockin' Eve ringing in the new year for 2020 with Post Malone. Our precious babies were freezing in the cold weather, but they enjoyed themselves. 😭💜
Yeah the physical sales is specifically, going out and buying the physical album. Their digitals sales are a whole separate number! (And no bundles from them)
They did perform at CITI Field in 2018, and last year they did a couple stadiums in the US - one of which was the MetLife Stadium (which I got to attend!) tour dates have all been postponed as of now but they are set to perform there again (I have tickets to that show as well. I paid between 120-150$ for my tickets (each) but I’m in level 100 which has pretty goods views , the highest seats are generally around 60-80$ and floor seating can go as high as 300$ ($500 if you get sound check VIP tickets) so there are tickets you can get to o got your budget if they do not all sell out. An important thing to remember is that THERE ARE NO BAD SEATS AT A BTS CONCERT!!

I've said this before and I'm gonna say this again: there's nothing like a bts concert and the feelings you get when you go. There's nothing like singing together to the chant of "I'm the one I should love" it gives me chills remembering
This "never go to Times Sq" on NYE thing reminds me of what we do in Berlin haha. There's like this HUGE NYE celebration (similar to the one in NYC) at Brandenburger Tor aka a very touristy place. With huge fireworks etc. And no person born or raised in Berlin would ever go there on NYE, it's only tourists or people who moved to Berlin later. Like why'd I wanna wait and stand in a big crowd for hours if I can watch it on TV and be at some party actually enjoying myself instead??? I've also watched many BTS reactions, but you're still the only person I actually watch all videos for. You seem really genuine and open-minded and idk other channels don't always give me that vibe. I bet someone mentioned it already but I'mma say it just in case : John cena has been an army for years now, and he genuinely loved the boys and their msg and music without prejudice ( he even used BTS song in one of his movies ) also, Halsey had a 2 features with BTS : 1st their Map Of The Soul: Persona Title song Boy with Luv , and second Suga featured in her album : a song called interlude: Suga which I would leave for u to discover. also, quick notes in case someone didn't mention that: the concert shown at the end is Seoul Olympic stadium and the song is Epiphany by Jin from their Love Yourself : Answer album Also, BTS tickets aren't considered THAT expensive ! especially comparing with other acts who I must say don't provide the same concert experience yet their prices are way higher, plus you don't have to get a VIP ticket to enjoy a BTS concert, I was lucky enough to attend one concert and I was on the third floor of the stadium and trust me it was AMAZING ! every level has its own charm so yes, the money spent on a BTS concert is NEVER a waste.
Their concert ticket prices are actually decently priced for stadium shows just depending on where you sit. The most expensive this year was $445 for a soundcheck package & floor seats close to the stage. The cheapest I think was $60 for the higher seats but lots of decent priced seats in between! Soundcheck definitely sold out within minutes. Their tour for the US is currently postponed but they said once they confirm the new dates then they would announce it & MetLife is one of the stadiums they’re playing at! Citifield was their first US stadium...last year they played MetLife & sold that out & this year they’d be playing at MetLife again. I hope you get to see one of their shows bc it’s really incredible! They don’t have an opening act so it’s just 2.5-3 hrs of them performing & it’s amazing! People from all over the world of all ages & ethnicities & genders enjoy their concert, so you wouldn’t feel like the odd one out!
Yes, their official concert tickets are resaonably priced according to the various seat sections and floor with soundcheck like you said. Other very expensive tickets are usually sold by re-sellers and scalpers who charged many times more to make money. That's why many people have the misconception that BTS concert tickets are too expensive. Armys who went to BTS concerts said any seat is a good seat even if you sat at the furthest tier which cost the lowest. They can see the boys on the big screen, hear them well and soak in the happy surreal atmosphere with the Army fam.
@@Winn613 Yes, very ridiculously priced coz they know that Armys are desperate to attend BTS concerts. Hopefully these scalpers are stuck with those unsold tickets now due to Covid-19 n postponement of their concerts. If they're smart, they should sell at face value to cover their losses.

As others already told you, ARMYs are always loud about the use of bundles and we're proud that BTS don't do that! Also, yes, we travel for them lol Many people every year visit South Korea just for them or because thanks to them they're now interested in the korean culture. I traveled as well in London just to see them in concert last year because in Italy they didn't come. As well as many other European fans!
I am a 52 yr old ARMY. I introduced BTS to my 22 yr old daughter. My daughter bought us tickets to the Rose Bowl concert that was SUPPOSED to be held May 2nd but because of COVID19 it has been postponed. I’m impatiently awaiting the release date of the future concerts.🙏🏻 The experience is going to be PRICELESS 💜
as a fellow new yorker i will say i agree 100 % about new years rockin eve. i tried to warn armys from out of state the chaos they would deal with waiting for bts but hey, it's a once in a lifetime thing i guess plus they got to chill around ny. but yeah no new yorker voluntarily goes to times square on nye. yes bts sold out citifield (their first stadium show in the us) in 2018... yup i was there while they made history. they also sold out metlife stadium for two nights in 2019 ... yup i was there too. as for this year, they were supposed to be at metlife in late may for two nights, i have tickets to night one, unfortunately their tour was postponed.
Bundling is and have for a very long time been a part of K-pop. It works very well, because the fans are usually so invested that they'll buy any merch they can.

Bts has done a lot of promotions for the past couple of years, and a majority of the radio hosts only use them to get attention and use them for personal gain. Whether that’s wanting more followers, more listeners, more retweets, etc... Only for their songs to be not only played at ass o’clock at night, but to have their Korean lyrics barely even in the song at all. It happened with Boy With Luv, and Make It Right. They sell so many pure albums, have literally never done a bundle sale ever, and somehow still get discredited... Also, iHeartRadio had jingle ball this past year, and it was literally 90% Army at the event. They had BTS perform right away for 10 minutes, and that’s it. Tell me how you can have someone be the be the reason you sell out an event, but not play them on your station. They claim there is “no demand” and it’s all bullshit. BTS and their label don’t pay to get their songs on the radio like a lot of big artists do, and I don’t think they ever will. I think if it’s going to happen, it’ll happen naturally. Sorry for the long rant, but it hurts seeing such special artists not get the appreciation they deserve in today’s music industry. A lot of people are against them, but most importantly ARMY has their back, and it won’t change. Giving them a chance is one of the best decisions I’ve ever made, and I can tell you feel the same. Actually they were cut from a broadcast in 2016 they were already big at that time but they performed for the armys there even though the show was already over because they felt sorry for armys who paid to see them and it was really heartbreaking and there is a lot of their old performances that weren't uploaded when they were small because those shows thought that no one will give them views or something I really still don't know why but they are uploading them now after 6-5 years like wtf what was the purpose and to inform you bts stopped going to reality shows and shows in general since 2017 because they mistreated them because they weren't popular and they were from an unknown small agency and fun fact bts debute stage was a replacement for another artist who didn't attend that day because you have to pay so you can debute on Korean shows

Apparently, John Cena is also a legit army. He publicly admits he's part of the fandom. I also was shocked when I heard about it because I never thought my favorite wrestler also love the boys. I always watch this video whenever I feel demotivated or down. it really helps to motivate me.
So I live in the Caribbean. I didn't think I'd heard a BTS song before either, and then realised through all the videos I've been watching that I HAVE, on the RADIO, for over a year now, but I never really heard them introduced or anything. So I'd been singing along to all these catchy songs, or hearing pieces of them in adverts, all sung in English, not knowing it was a Korean band who sang them. It was like Jersey Boys all over again. I was aware of the Four Seasons and all that, but didn't realise that the music had been infused around me so effortlessly, that I knew all the words to most of the songs, or had at lest heard the melodies before I even got to the play.
Istg those radio people keep saying they'll play BTS but they never do BTS literally have almost no radio plays just because they sing and rap in Korean They keep outselling everyone but those racist radio djs just ignore them 🙃

I am so late to BTS Fandom! Just discovered them while going through RU-vid videos from the recent VMAs. Saw them and thought "who are they". Watched one video and I was hooked. Now their postponed tour concert tickets are sold out, but this Atlanta girl got still got hers at $250 each and STILL thinks a BTS concert is worth every penny of it!
i live in texas and for dallas day 2 i spent almost 400 for 2 tickets no where near the stage. so yes the tickets are extremely expensive and hard to get ive been a fan for 4 years and i finally got tickets. but i love your videos!! keep up the great work !!
Their physical albums are completely on its own level. Watch a video on an album being unwrapped and you'll see why. There are 4 versions each of their recent album releases with concept photos etc that makes each versions so special. I got version 1 for MOTS7 and saving money to buy the other 3 versions. 😭👍💜
ARMY is very well aware of album bundles, BTS is one of the only acts on the charts right now without bundles. The chart manipulation accusation of years ago was made up since BTS sold out another popular act and people couldn't believe it, so people said BigHit bought their own albums to increase numbers. After, BigHit had to release a statement they didn't have the resources to do such a thing. BTS wer accused on plagiarism based on concepts and similar colours to other kpop acts, however that was complete nonsense since it were basic concepts that many male groups used like schoolboy concept. Literally every kpop boygroup has dressed up in schooluniforms before.
I hope someday BTS, without a doubt, gets the respect they deserve. Their goal along with everything else was, to defeat prejudice, to defeat the notions. Back then it was to help the adolescents and young people say what they need to say, without being stopped, now it's for the whole world stage, to realize, that prejudice comes in many forms, and now we can see that prejudice, through the haters, and biased people, who are inconsiderate and ignorant to what BTS' pursuit is. And they are ignorant that to the fact that BTS has a place in history. Even if you place a higher value to Backstreet boys, to One Direction, to solo artists like Beyonce, or other famous non-western artists who are praised, BTS deserves the same respect and recognition. We should reach a time where they are not dismissed simply for being unexpected by a lot of people. Not dismissed because of the difference between them and the artists they already know. BTS came to disrupt, in order to help the world. And it is already clear that they have been making a large change. I hope someday, that day, that special day comes... Through these years, especially at the late 2010's, a lot of people have been trying to curve down on judgement, on social problems, but the largest player is unexpectedly, the ones who are genuine, aware of prejudice, aware of early judgement, and are aware of the struggles in life enough, and that is a Korean Boy group that started with small dreams and even the feeling of hopelessness of debuting successfully. Yet here they are, loved by millions and seen by the whole world. We could make a whole damn country with ARMY. edit: Oh I forgot, I think bundling doesn't occur as much in Korea (Or K-pop at least) as it does in the US, but despite that, the effect is much larger, because the proportions of the Korean entertainment industry and the western entertainment industry are much different. Everything is a big deal, especially considering that most artists, well, every artist that gets known in Korea is under a business, a company that has to profit somehow. So all those companies are hit as well, if for some reason, an undeserving artist (But the artist shouldn't be blamed, it's definitely their company being malicious) got the win and got all the investors coming in. I think the better way of tracking actual sales and album impact is regardless of the medium it is in, physical or streamed, because there are still people legitimately buying albums and songs. But I guess the better way to phrase it is "Intentional Album Purchases" where the person intentionally decided to pay full price, for exactly what they wanted which was the album. Perhaps they're buying merch with an album, but it better be that they are buying the ALBUM and intending on buying the ALBUM and not anything else, and it better be at a normal price. In fact, this would be very weird, but it isn't too bad to imagine if they constituted a law that all albums on the top something something, should be of the same value and price. That is therefore a better way of scaling things when you are already on that level of fanbase reception and there will be a legitimate battle. Because without a doubt even without the appeal of the artist themselves, a cheaper album compared to a more-expensive album from another artist is still making an impact. If this already takes place then sorry, ignore this part of the comment.
Wherever BTS goes ARMY goes, periodt. I'm for NYC and it's the only time I go to Manhatten and for the BT21 store. (it's a BTS store with the characters they made)
oh my god i wasny expecting you to know bundling!! ACTUALLY armys are very proud because bts has records of selling physical copies without bundles. for map of the soul:7 bts sold 4M physical copies of their album IN A WEEK without bundles!!
I'm pretty sure the majority of new yorker armys went to try to see bts on new year's eve even if they never went lol just the fact of knowing they are so close is enough to make us do things

Had to catch up with this series but ayyy a fellow New Yorker! Citi was their first US stadium, since then they play at MetLife. I had nosebleed seats which for citi was ~75 each. As you get further down they get much higher. But I’ve seen floor seats go for thousands🤷♀️ but nosebleeds are awesome to see the army bombs in action! Any seat is great
In Dallas the cheapest seats were $79 before taxes and fees up to $445 for gold soundcheck. I got 2 sliver soundcheck tickets and after taxes fees, and ticket insurance, cost just under $1,000, but we are also literally 1 row away from the stage.

Yes for MOTS:Persona physical is just the album in stores or ordered online but it’s physical. The MOTS:7 album got 5m pre-orders and many more actual purchases in the first month.
