jimin is so intimidating when he's dancing ,, even if it's a fun song. i'd be terrified if i had to dance in the same stage as someone that passionate so i understand why some ppl feel so threatened by him his moves are so sharp yet so graceful and elegant. words aren't enough to describe how talented he is i've never seen anything like that before

I'm loving the cowboy/country style they have going on and I'm also giving props to the stylist noonas for styling them this way and also props o to the people in the MV as you could see they were clearly havin fun. I'm loving the beat and the line " I don't need permission to dance" will be stuck in my head for ever and always now, also it's such and iconic line and is up there with " Get it, Let it roll". I'm also loving the beat of the music as it'd so happy and upbeat and really summery, it also makes me wanna smile just seeing them have fun. The choreo is so groovy and makes me wanna dance and I just wanna groove with it also as there isn't really that much choreo it's really easy to dance too. I love their MV as it shows the boys having fun with eachother and other people also the vocals are as amazing as ever, I especially love yoongis vocals as he really can sing, and it makes me wanna sing along. It all being English aswell also makes it their 3rd all English song and this one is just as catch as Dynamite and Butter. Also I love the message behind the song ad it basically says no matter what or where you are if you here music you love just dance along to it as you don't need permission to dance and have fun. Us armys are getting so spoilt on our birthday and o just love the guys so much and you can clearly see how much they love us back k by just seeing how hard they work and how they care about us. You'll never get another band like BTS who love their fans so much and who works so hard for them. Thankyou BTS for a wonderful birthday present.

SUGA has been saying phrase about falling and landing since 2018 - "I'm afraid of falling but I'm not afraid of landing" - he said on multiple occasions, during interviews, festa, etc and now they used his words in this song

By the way, if you go back to the teaser for this song, it shows Suga reading the newspaper, which says 2022, the beginning of a new era, good-bye covid. Also says, life goes on, but it also clearly says on top right side, of paper, that the purple balloons are harbinger to the future, meaning once they're released, it will mean covid-19 is over. Also they even used sign language once again, saying 'joyful, be happy. Let's dance'. BTS also used sign language for I Luv You in Boy With Luv at the very end when they raise their hands, making a sign for I love You!

Permission to Dance includes special choreography with international sign language that means "fun" "dance" & "peace". Scratching your body while lifting your thumbs and slightly bending the rest of your fingers means "fun". Moving 2 fingers from side to side on top of the palm of the other hand like a stage represents "dance" or "lets dance" and lastly, making V sign means "peace".

The "Permission to Dance" music video features performances using international sign language. It means 'joy', 'dance', and 'peace'. The gesture that seems to scratch the body with the thumb extended and the rest of the fingers bent means "joyful." The movement of two fingers of the other hand from side to side using one palm as a stage means "dancing." Finally, making a V with two hands is a symbol of 'peace'.

Not me smiling from ear to ear the entirety of the video. Not only is the song good but the diversity they included from the race of their fans, including sign language for the deaf fans, to celebrating all the hard working people like doctors, nurses, teachers, researchers etc who have helped us through the pandora and their staff on set. It just is the perfect summer song and just a dance song to lighten your mood. They really be making sure we all have a smile on our faces during the times we still are trying to come out of

I was just having a conversation with my friend in Asia about an hour before the release of the song. Covid situation there in a lot of the countries is actually getting worse, not better like here in the US (or UK and some other parts of Europe). Found out a high school friend passed away last week of Covid. During the premier, I watched half-heartedly. But when the part came where the kids, elderlies, waitress and others took off their masks, I cried. A couple of my friends don't like the song. They wanted a different Bangtan. I understand what BTS is trying to do and I applaud them. It may not be the groundbreaking song some are waiting for, but THIS SONG MADE ME FEEL HOPE. That's what they're doing with Dynamite, Butter and ESPECIALLY, PERMISSION TO DANCE. If you don't feel hope/happy watching the MV and listening to the song, maybe you're not in a position that needs encouragement and hope. That's ok. But a lot of other people in the world need to hear it right now.

Color Purple = COVID. There is extra mv prior to the start of this mv. It shows Suga reading a newspaper and in the upper right hand corner is an article about the color Purple and COVID.

Ok I loved Kook's look the whole video! Namjoon's hair was questionable, but he still look good. I really like the song. It has a cute vibe and I love how they are saying fuck covid we are gonna dance and sing and live our lives.

the song is definitely a feel good song with hope and all that good stuff, I loved sope's part most and I think jungkook ATE and he and taehyung stood out the most for me, overall this was great and wholesome

I kind of fell off the BTS train back in 2019 for a few different reasons. I would still check out their title track MV releases but that was basically it. But when Dynamite came out I started to slowly ease my way back in to them. This song and MV reminded me how much they meant to me (they were my first kpop group in 2018). From the rap line singing, to the meaning behind the MV being about the world slowly going back to normal again, to that shot of Yoongi and Jungkook at 2:00 (I double bias them 🥰) I’m loving the retro vibes they’ve been using for their title tracks lately 💜 This instantly became a high contender for my soty this year!
