wish they could bring cinematic concepts like this back again like they owned these kind of concept, ONE of the reasons why i became an army is because of hyyh era and wings era, its so hella relatable and artistic in so many levels, i was comforted and saved in those years. i hope they would find it in themselves to do artisitic/cinematic concepts again.

2023 .. One of the reasons that i love the most from BTS songs are the meaning behind all of their songs.. its look like I'm watching a movie.. finding what's all behind.. but then only the seven precious man's knows about it. They got my attention on it...and from that I admire them even more.

In a MV you can see JK facing a car, fans then made the theory that he died beacuse of the car crash. In this short film, you hear the sounds of a car accident. So I think he really did die because at the end of the video he is seen with wings. He kinda looks like a bird (or a phoenix), so I guess he was reborn and actually died before the other members. Now, my theory is: Jungkook's song is mostly about the BTS members and how he wishes that he could cry in their stead, for he can't stand to see them hurt. So in this short film, he finds out about Suga's death. In the MV's (for example 'Run') you see him being very close to Suga. He even tried to fight against Suga's 'self-destructing personality'. He wants to save him, which might be the reason why Suga did not die.. (Short film 4) Jungkook, who is now in the afterlife, lured Suga away from his death with his whistling. I think Jungkook too, made a deal with the devil. I still don't know what he sacrificed though.. Jin's sacrifice was turning into a statue and breaking in exchange for the member's.. lives? To return them to life again? Since in Jimin's vid you can see the water going back into the bathtub, which maybe means that he did not die. Jungkook maybe sacrificed his life in return for being a phoenix? He smiled at the car in 'Run'.. so I think he made the deal on purpose and was ready to die. Maybe in exchange for the 'Dorian-Grey-Painting'? He gained immorality, I guess. He tries to prevent Suga's death after being reborn into the afterlife as a phoenix. (.. my theory is actually pretty lame xD)

When JUNGKOOK saw the painting, red paint splattered on it. The red paint was blood. Then the 'blood' flooded from the paintings eyes and JUNGKOOK started to cry. In the Not Today m/v you can see the members (except for JUNGKOOK) get shot. Then you see a zoom in of his eye. In his eye there is JUNGKOOK himself holding a gun. JUNGKOOK could see the members getting shot in the painting of this short film. That's why he started crying. Maybe JUNGKOOK shot the members and he could see it in the paintings eyes. He could not believe it and started cry.

First Jungkook had wings (which i think represents the ability to time travel) until jungkook committed suicide which then the wings were passed onto jimin but jimin told a lie which caused the wings to transfer to V who stabbed his father then to yoongi who set himself on fire, then to namjoon who drank poisonous stuff, and the j-hope who took pills and finally jin, who hadnt made a sin who tries to save them all... This probably won't be fully correct btw, I probably missed some things out/forgot things/got things wrong. Edit: I come back nearly a year later with 4k likes and 79 replies- Edited Edit: 4.3k and 85 replies now.

Taehyung had scorch marks in his back in the Blood, Sweat & Tears MV, and Jungkook has wings in this short film. I feel like they both made a deal with the devil to save their members like Hoseok and Jin. But the car... Jungkook has kind of an interesting experience with cars. In the Run MV, Jungkook looked back and smiled at the car. If I can recall, Yoongi has a car crash in his own short film. Jungkook may have traded something, like his freedom probably with the devil for Yoongi's life. But Taehyung, what did he trade for? Maybe he broke his deal, and that's why he has the marks: his wings were taken away. And Jungkook, he may be considering his descision as the devil came to hear his final answer, since the birds flew off. The devil was probably tempting him to trade his freedom for Yoongi's life by showing his a vision which we can hear piano keys and fire crackling. And a fire and piano playing was in Yoongi's short film wasn't it? And so he(the devil) showed Jungkook the vision and after, we see Jungkook's shadow, but with wings. The wings are probably from the devil who had just arrived. Jungkook most likely agreed to the offer and the devil kept his side of the deal and was the one whistling in Yoongi's short film, luring him away from the music store which the car crashed into and the where the piano caught fire. But that's just my theory.

Rap monster's lines were taking from Herman Hesse's Demian which is a story tells of a young boy named Emil Sinclair and his childhood growing up during pre-World War I. Emil struggles to find his new self-knowledge in the immoral world and is caught between good and evil, which is represented as the light and dark realms. Hesse uses much symbolic diction in his novel to give a more puissant presentation of Emil Sinclair and the conflict between right and wrong.

Theory:, I think he woke up because he dreamed of the piano on fire, and the window breaking from the car crash into yoongi. and another thought. this one probably doesn't make sense, but if you listen to the first love short film, then when yoongi is playing the piano, he hears Jungkook's whistling from the beginning of the video, so what if it was like a warning, because Jungkook was dreaming of the piano, and that's when yoongi got up and looked around to see where the whistle leads to. also when jungkook was painting, he saw fire (guessing it's from the piano), then the canvas caught on fire, and the painting was of yoongi, and it caught on fire so he knew yoongi got hurt, so that's (probably) why at 1:46 he cried 'hyung', they were both close to each other. also did you guys notice that in the ending there was a bunch of crows flying over him? because i looked how what crows symbolize, and it said they symbolize death, or intelligence, but death makes more sense, because of the above. anyways sorry if this makes no sense or the explaining is bad ;-;

here after 5 years to watch the wings' series all over again. in love. again.

What namjoon is saying in the beginning is a passage from the book "Demian". It's about a boy called sinclair who's between 2 different worlds; the good world which is with his parents and sister, and the bad world which is inside him. But throughout the story he gets more familiar with the bad side of the world as he feels more connected with evil. He's very confused and mentally ill which causes him to have nightmares. Then he meets demian who ends up being very important to sinclair helps him see both good and bad sides of the world and acts as a role model to sinclair. Sinclair also draw him when he has nightmares (the painting could be V or yoongi who represents demien?). He also often drew birds and sent them to demian. Then he saw an egg in his dreams and as time passed it hatched into a bird. The story describes problems young people face when growing up and trying to find who they are. The bird that came out of the egg in the dream is sinclair grown up (jk growing wings?). There was a lot more on the tumblr post by letmebacktorealoty I saw, but this is the theory in a nutshell. It makes sense for now. The book is split into 3 parts: life between good and bad & his mental illness, changing his life 'letting go' by drinking and destroying himself, third; finally getting back to demian and finding his own way. That may be how bighit will divide the plotline. But it's all theories. Let's wait for the other parts to come out and we'll see.

He is crying because he has to leave the human world to enter the world of seagulls. At 2:16 you can clearly see his inner self/the true kookie (why is there no seagull emoji tho?)

I know I’m very late to this, being a new Army, but I noticed something and thought I might contribute. In this short film, there’s ink bleeding on the painting, and in Reflection, there’s ink bleeding on RM’s arm. Some other people were finding a connection between Jungkook shouting something and RM covering his ears, and if there is a connection there, then the timing is perfect. Ink bleeds during Begin and then Jungkook yells. Ink bleeds during Reflection and then RM covers his ears.
