And j-hope probably was given less lyrics cuz he wasnt actually at the interview with b-free, it was only suga and rapmon so its understandable that they gave j-hope only the chorus, trust me j-hope is a good rapper otherwise.
+You like? i agree... this is a diss rap specifically for B-Free who directly insulted Rap Mon and Suga... so i guess they decided it didn't feel right for J-Hope to do an outright diss hence his part was minimal in this cypher... no worries he proved himself in cypher 3... and i think the ones who know the stories behind these cyphers will understand that :D
I hope you would let bryson react to bangtan's hiphop side. They have such great hiphop songs like baepsae, hiphop lover, second grade, spinebreaker, etc. or even rap monster's mixtape lol.
Cypher pt 2 is lyrically better. This is what cyphers are all about.( CYPHERS ARE DISS RAPS TOWARDS OTHER RAPPERS) They use a lot of references that if your not Korean or not in the Korean music world you won't get them. Cyhper part 3 is more hype in that even if you don't know whats being said you still feel it and want to jam. In both cypher pt 2 & 3 Suga for me slayed. He used a lot of metaphors that people (foreigners or non Korean speakers) don't get though so they don't realize how hard he went in. And I agree Rapmonster is seriously one of the best Korean rappers out there. Rapmonster & Suga started out as undereground rappers, Jhope is good too but he originally was a dancer, he's still learning and honing his rap style. 1st verse by Jhope is absolute fire though.
+Ariel Arnold Yes I agree. pt 2 is my favorite cause of the lyrics! And I do agree agree with Bryson that Jhope's part wasn't the best but it's understandable because he actually wasn't there with rapmon and suga during the Bfree incident. Pt3 is amazing but it's my second favorite because pt2 does way better in terms of lyrics and how hard hitting it is.
Well if you watched the interview with BFree, it's pretty clear why Yoongi and Namjoon go hard and it's clear they are dissing someone aka BFree and Hoseok wasn't in the interview with them, so he's just the chorus tbh honest Suga and Rapmon's verse in cypher 2 are of their best, I mean Yoongi fucking slays it, and honestly I like Jhope's part, but to each their own ^^ Cypher pt3 is still my favorite actually haha Show them JHOPE's 1VERSE and BTS baepsae!!!!!!! please!!!
If you all didn't know, J-Hope wasn't originally suppose to be a rapper (from what I heard). He was also kinda like the jack of all trades (he could do all 3 rapping, singing, and dancing) before Jungkook finally took the name the golden maknae (and he was more popularized for this) for being also being exceptionally good at all 3. Just thought I should throw in a little info out there! (:
actually the lyrics in korea is strong but when it's translated to english it's slightly changes. so it's kinda become weaker(?) sometimes it's really different, it's hard to translate the exact meaning from korea to english, so yeah... i'm not good at english so i hope you understand what i mean
J-hope's part generally didn't fit in. If they gave him the same beat instead of having him go during a beat change it would have gone better for him. But he wasn't there for the interview so I guess he wouldn't be able to do a full minute anyway. But it's a good thing that he liked part 3 better, that means that they're improving
This is why I love to watch NON KPOP REACTION. They are honest and real. I agree with Bryson. He have some point. But tbh, I like cypher pt 2 better, bcos the lyric is so nice. I can make an essay just to explain it through my own opinions. Like how they dissing the other parties, are real and you just can feel it well. Okay, my point is please react to TEARS OF SCHOOL by BTS JIN, SUGA and RAP MONSTER. That song, is just right!
Im an Army (BTS FAN) yes. Cypher 2 is good but Cypher 3 Killer is a LIT you should have listen to their song Hiphop Lover its a Slayage Man!~ hahha! I love it when a non kpop watches BTS it makes me proud 😁 Bapsae, Back breaker, Road path, Never Mind is awesome! Try it.:)
actually RapMon and Suga are the one who attended to the interview where B-Free talked shit, J- Hope wasn't there. So this one just like RapMon - Suga's fire back at B- Free. But if you check JHope 1 verse you'll see, his trap style is totally dope!
i agree with jhopes part but i just thought about. this was a diss to b-free who completely trashed bts (suga & rapmonster where the only ones there to defend themselves & the group) so they probably got the majority of the song while jhope just helped with transitions :/
I think the reason for this is that B-free (the guys who dissed them) dissed rapmon and suga for selling out because they were originally underground rappers. Jhope doesn't have as big of a part in this because he wasn't an underground rapper (was just a dancer)
Y'all gotta listen/react to BTS Baepsae/Try Hard/Silver Spoon/Crow-tit (i never know what to call it T-T). There's no cypher pt 4 but this song definitely makes up for it (especially bc the vocal line is in it as well) and of course you have to check out 1Verse xD
J-hope's skills really improved from cypher pt.2, a lot of fans didn't even recognize his voice. If you try to listen to their songs in a chronological order you can really see that there's some sort of progression on their mindsets and opinions. Cypher pt. 2 (as how I see it) was part of their "identity crisis" era where RM and Suga where they were kind of conflicted with their identities both as an idol and a rapper and I think they were trying to prove something with that track (and even with their earlier songs such as We Are Bulletproof pt.2).
There is a reason why i personally think why j-hope's part is different from the two. I think this cypher's main subject is rap mon and suga are the ones who were dissed by bfree. If bryson wants j-hope's rap skills, you should show him 1 verse. I respect his opinion though and I'm glad he's very unbiased about this. Thank you for a great reaction!
ok so i'm a bts stan 100% and i love all of the members (and think that they're all incredibly talented ofc & i'm glad that any of them get recognition), but i always feel a little bitter whenever someone only pays attention to/praises rap mon in reactions??? like yeah opinions are a thing and he's a great rapper, but it pisses me off when people ONLY get hyped about him in a rapline song???? because it's like they completely disregard the others and fail to realize that suga and jhope are just as talented and are just as capable of going hard af. [opinion] rap mon knows what he's doing and is hella good at doing it, true, but suga (imo) has the best delivery and writing when it comes to rapping in bts.. i feel like if someone else pisses him off he could easily chew them up and spit them out. jhope started out as an idol who knew nothing about rap but here he is now killin' it like crazy. i guess i'm just trying to say i wISH PPL WOULD RECOGNIZE SUGA AND JHOPE AS KICKASS RAPPERS AND NOT JUST RAP MON BC HE KNOWS ENGLISH AND HAS A COUPLE OF SONGS/MV good day my friends
it's not about that fact that Rap Monster has a couple of video and knows english. His lyrics are on point, his rapping skills and voice are just awesome, he can really give to u message, emotions and feels with song, you can feel his vibe. That's why i like him more and considered him as my bias. Suga has my mad respect for his awesome producing skills, he can rap good too, but his rapping is more swaggy, i don't like it so much. As well as Jhope. He can rap good as well, but he given't for me that strongs feeling like Rap Monster. Also check out Rap Monster's mixtape, he has awesome solo stuff, it's called RM
J-hope is important here, he had the "hip-hip" part while the other did had the rap parts, and it was authentic, really catchy and really well thought to melt both like that... I really liked it, even if my preference goes to cypher pt 3
i think you need to re-evaluate suga's lyrics in this cypher, they're targeted directly at b-free I mean... "just go back to hawaii" b-free is from hawaii... "when you were playing underground, bts was playing at ground level" b-free is an underground rapper. And my personal favorite, "I'll put a period at the artery of your music career" SHIT'S STRAIGHT FIRE
i like how you guys are so honest! i personally respect those who like either one because both are just amazing tracks! i hope you guys react more to Bangtan's hiphop side because its pure lit! 🔥🔥👍👍
Matt's face at around 3:30-3:35 perfectly got that look on Kpop fans when they can see their non-Kpop friend totally immersed in a Kpop song... hahaha that was cute.
i have been waiting for this reaction for days!!! thank you!! can you react to BTS - Hiphop lover (힙합성애자) with lyrics? 사이퍼 2 리액션 진짜 오래 기달렸다 진짜 ㅋㅋ큐ㅜㅠㅜㅜㅠ
In this song, jhope is more of a referee, not a main participant. I expect because he wasn't personally dissed by bfree. this was about Rapmons and Suga's honor after they were personally attacked. Both RM and Suga were underground before BTS so I imagine, at the time, this struck a major cord with the both of them. Also, as a side note, if you listen to Jhope in the past to now you'll definitely notice improvements in his flow. I still think he was growing as a rapper around this time (but there are shining moments). He has a more defined style now. Thanks for the reactions.
Bryson!!!!!!!!!! I totally agree with u! I've always thought that whenever I heard ppl comparing the two songs. Cypher pt. 3 is my favorite for jhope especially, but Suga and rapmonster slayed both pt.2 and pt.3. They definitely went hard in 3 and I always found myself dancing to it and looking like a fool. Ur opinion is urs and I'm glad u express it!!
many people actually didn't recognize that that was jhope in cypher pt.3 because of how good he sounded and also jhope was more of a hey here's the chorus i'm the person that introduces them before they rap person in cypher pt 2
okay, jhope is a very versatile artist. he did great in '1verse' and even in his small part in 'ma city' . u shudn't miss that. its not just about spitting or the pace of rapping but the melody involved in it and how can he sing more than just one trap or flow... he got jams
Jhope didn't have that much rapping time because actually this cypher was a diss to an undergorund rapper called BFree who dissed and insulted ( In their presence) Suga and RapMon because they are "idols". He also told them that their rap wasn't real rap because their music was mainstream and because they are members of a boy group and stuff, he also laughed at them telling them that they are girls because they put make up on ( For the performances and stuff) And all of this in front of other underground rappers. ( Suga and RapMon were also underground rappers before)
Alot of people prefer cypher pt 3 because it gets them hyped but I love cypher pt 2 more because of the lyirics + Yoongi because well Yoongi just slays ^.^
For what Bryson said about them saying things to sound big and tough but not actually doing anything what happen is at the time when this song was made Bts was getting alot of hate in Korea and people were pushing them down and hating them really bad and saying things like they wouldn't make it so they made this song in response to the hate that was being thrown at them at that time. The hate is still there now but what has happened is that ARMY has grown big which allows for us to protect them and kind of calm the haters cuz it used to be much worse than this
I never liked J-Hope's part. It initially turned me away from listening to the song for a while. Then I sat down, powered through it, and got to Rap Mon and Suga's parts. In all honestly, those two verses made this my favorite out of the cyphers, and I loved part 3. Suga was such a beast in this though, so much more than he was in part 3, which is what ended making him my bias out of everyone else.
in my opinion cypher 3 had a better tone. the beat and melody to it sounded more appealing, but cypher 2 had better lyrics. like cmon it was pretty savage 😂
It's ok, the cyphers will most likely get better as they go on, like how if you start from the first one and go to the fourth one you'll notice a growth in their skill. Of course which ever people believe are better are their opinion, but I mean in terms of the different skills and perspectives they give continue to grow as the series goes along.
BANGTAN PUT THESE BLOOD SWEAT AND TEARS IN MY EYES Yeah, it’s all opinionated (but tbh, we started with 3, then 2, then 4 then watched 1 off camera lol) but in my opinion, 4 is their worst. While I still listen to it and enjoy it, I just felt like rap monsters part was kinda lame.... Suga was the saving grace of Cypher 4
I don't know much about rap structure, but I feel like in this, J-Hope's part served more as a contrast between each rap segment, sort of for suspense. Kind of like the wait before the epic fall. I don't know, but like you were saying, cypher part 2 was the part where they said they could and part 3 was when they did it. Either way they have the skill and they have definitely proved it multiple times. :)
I think Bryson is really awesome , well there's only few who actually care about the lyrics. I like how he explains and expresses his thoughts about every video you're reacting to. Don't mind what other people will say , after all its your opinion.
Woah woah man, sorry for my words, this is just my opinion but please don't react like that with J-Hope. When he got the audition, he performed singing not rapping so maybe his rap isn't as good as Suga and RapMon. And when they performed Cyper pt.2, Suga and RapMon was having some problems with B-free so that's maybe they didn't give much part for him in this song, but chorus. So please respect him as he has improved so much with his rap all that years and believe he is really good, he is golden brother in BTS: rap, dance, sing,...he can do everything. Please respect J-Hope (sorry I just really admire Jung Hoseok aka J-Hope)
Tbh i can never decide whether i like pt 2 or 3 more but the majority of BTS fans will say pt 3 because it's the turn up song and all 3 rappers have an equal chance to go hard in the paint and gets everybody hype af which is why they perform it on tour and not pt 2 lol J-Hope didnt really do much in this one so that's one thing i would change about the song if i could. But yeah it's meant to be more chill because you really need to sit back and read the lyrics to understand who they're dissing and why. As far as the beat, i prefer Killer (and bc J-Hope slays) but i like RapMon and Suga's verses in Triptych better. You should definitely show them Hip Hop Lover and Baepsae (Silver Spoon) tho! (sorry im such rap line trash ugh, why am i like this?)
I actually do not feel offended ONE bit by his words (even though i prefer Cypher pt. 2 Triptych over Cypher pt. 3 Killer) simply because it's nice to hear an unbiased opinion every now and then. I also think the chorus was kind of weird and maybe even unnecessary but the lyrics are much better in my opinion. I mean obviously I love everything they produce (cause I'm just trash like that) but... Bryson was it? had some really good points and addressed them very matter of factly without offending anyone from the fanbase. I always love reactions from Non-Kpop fans to these things, especially when you can see them really getting into it (like being super focused on reading the lyrics or bobbing their heads even though without the subs you wouldn't understand a word) It's just the effect BTS has on people *shrugs*
There is no need to thank me at all! I really enjoyed the video and I apologise for not being 100% sure about the name in my comment (which could've come off as rude, but really wasn't intended) as I had literally just found your channel. Keep up the great work. I'll be looking forward to more of your content and will make sure to support you guys in any way I can! (Bryson knows it, GD is bae)
Haha loved Bryson's reaction when Suga's super fast rap came up xD Suga actually has a hard time rapping that, he said once on After School club that its quite hard to do. Also Bryson, I agree with you, I also like Cypher Pt.3 better :D
