The third song on BTS MTV Unplugged, is BTS' cover of 'Fix You' by Coldplay. Let's listen to those beautiful vocals! Follow us on social media - bit.ly/3bvMS0x mycupoftv_jd mycupoftv_erin mycupoftv_kat
I'm with the "Jin was amazing" camp on this one. When he came in with Suga after the interlude, his clear and high tone just pierced right through my heart. I've watched this SO many times and I never fail to get goosebumps at that point. He's had a lot of great moments over the years, but for me that was his ultimate moment. (And Suga's harmony there absolutely accentuated the beauty of that moment.) I loved every second of this entire performance. The work they have put in over the course of the forced time off due to the pandemic shows clearly here.
Originally, jin's sings really well and has a more handsome face than models in Korea!!! He is a very humble character to give way to his brothers! Believe me, I'm Korean, so I think jin is a really amazing person!
For me it was Jin. All of them were absolutely perfect, but Jin stole the show. And I loved that they covered his favorite song he is a big Coldplay fan
“What’s up Liz” lol 😂 My favorite pairing was the harmonizing with Jin and RM and I’m so glad that Jin got some praise for his part even though people referred to him as the guy with the pink mic Love and support 💜💜
I loved their version just because they have so much different levels of vocal quality. My ears just melt from V's baritone to Jimin's high pitch. Rap line's assist (almost acting as bass) also made the vocal line's voices stand out even more.
Everyone has good vocals including the three base rappers. But it was Jin's high notes that absolutely stole the show. It was the moment that drew my attention. But I don't know why he was not given due credit in this episode. Jin, you're amazingly talented with your vocals! Keep it up boy!
I just felt a feeling of calm. Each one stepped up and showed that they are great singers. All showed why they are considered the BEST in the World. My heart feels so gentle after hearing them sing this.
You will be stunned with Jimin's solos live...Lie, serendipity n Filter are awasome live with best coreography. Lie is a masterpiece you gotta watch its live performance.
Another fact about BTS and this song: when they took their trip in 2018 (the trip where they were trying to decide if they should stay together) they listened to 'Fix You' while they were there.
This cover is so Beautiful 😍😍😍 Its give me goosebumps too. I rewatched over and over agains until now,and now my little boy memorized this song 😅🤭🤭 I love the part when Jin and yoongi harmonizing, its so beautifull.. Thanxs for this reaction, can't wait to see your other BTS reaction 💜💜💜💜
They mentioned that Fix You was their go to song during the pandemic as their source of comfort. And it was a song that all 7 of them loved. Hence why it was a no brainer for them to want to cover this song.
Please do “your eyes tell,” which is a song jungkook co-wrote and composed for a Japanese movie about a blind woman falling in love with an ex con... the lyrics are incredible and the group performs it live and it’s breathtaking!!!! He distributed the lines evenly and gave jin and jimin the most emotional parts of the song and really had every member shine... jin and jimin with the emotional parts tho is heartwarming and it’s one of the most beautiful songs I have ever heard... our golden maknae lives up to his name... and his hyungs came through for him and gave an incredible and emotional performance.... it’s so so good
Oof im early! Coldplay giving their permission to make a cover of their songs is really special, they've declined a $50mil offer at some point 😅 and this cover is so beautiful! once it was aired, Coldplay posted it on all their platforms praising it in Korean 🥰 bts also sing it half a tone higher than Chris Martin, the og is in E major flat, while the cover is in E major 💜
No disrespect to the original version and Cold Play but when BTS does cover songs, they always make it their own. BTS’ sincerity and genuine emotions pierces thru the hearts! BTS is the best! There’s nothing like BTS!
Roll call.. Present lols... always love your chats, so nice to have army giving perspectives prior to reactions💜... All the guys shines here, esp. Jin and OMG! the RAP LINE just nailed it 🥰... But always loves JK’s vocals, just give me feels💜💜💜.. BORAHAE💜
I've probably listened to this cover 30-40 times now and the 3 part harmony still stuns me every time. They did an amazing job of this. Thanks for reacting,
Honestly even after seeing all the performances of BTS and the vulnerability I wouldn't say that a specific member STANDS OUT (its a really bad way of putting it) in my opinion they all have really emotional vocals and amazing ways of singing but for me it would be Jin whose voice I found the most emotional among BTS 💜
Jimin to me literally looks and sounds like an angel. Ethereal 😇 I really loved the rap line singing the lower harmonies. They all sound so beautiful. RMs deep voice, he needs to sing more often.
I like listening to songs that make me dream stories. I listen to them over and over as I polish my own music video with them. Not all songs are good for that, I suppose that only the "well constructed" ones, those that tell a story only with music can make me dream
Todos são maravilhosos! Vocais perfeitos! Mais gente o Jin roubou ele show com certeza, e elas vem me falar de JM. OBS: AMO O JM mais vamos dar de Cezar o que é de Cezar.
Hi, I am back. Good reaction, ty. Angel Jimin strikes again! Yeah!!! Jimin bias and Suga wrecker, OT7. Loved this cover. They killed it while looking good too. They guys have said they love this song and listened to it often during quarantine. It gave them comfort so they wanted to share that with Army. They so sweet. Looking forward to more. -NY USA Army💜
Actually Korean women keep their maiden names. Chinese can go either way. My daughter is married to a Chinese man & chose to keep her maiden name as did her mother-in-daughter. My daughter also dated a South Korean for 2.5 years. He was from Busan - Jimin & Junkgook's hometown. We are American BTW.
I think when koreans get married, the wife won't get the surname of the husband. And if they have a child, other people will refer you as this child's (Jenny엄마/Jenny eomma). Correct me if i'm right.
You are right, it won't even be Jenny eomma, it will be (child's name)s eomma😅 same for father though, even in conversations a wife would refer to her husband like that, so if a child is called, idk, Jake, the parents are now nameless Jake's mom and Jake's dad to each other and family/friends/neighbors - of course it's not the only way to address a person, but a child is quite important in cultural hierarchy. If there is a boy and a girl, the parents will be called (boy's name) mom and dad, not girl's
Yup correct. In Korea women keep their family surnames. However for a lot of families who emigrate to countries where the common practice is to have a single family name for everyone (like the US where I live), women will change their last name to match the custom. So here in the US, my mom’s legal last name was changed to Kim like my dad. Not all women do this though, many will still stick with the Korean tradition.
Korean women, similarly to Chinese practice, keep their maiden name when they marry. So identity is tied to your family of origin. In a way, that’s feminist, isn’t it?
