The wings short films flesh out the story, but in a series of abstract motifs instead of a plot based chronology there are some very important connecting points in them that won’t meet their connection points until something else is released a few years later. (As I remember it you have seen some of that content already.) You don’t get back into the plot until the highlight reels. As for nsfyoutube content, the Japanese releases have bu certified content as well - Japanese releases are under *strict* copyright. There are many short stories, posters, a concept book, a novel, a serial webtoon... if you are looking for a visual based dive into the universe, I would watch all of the ‘big hit labels’ RU-vid channel’s bts content that has the tag line “BU content certified by Big Hit Entertainment” added in the description of the video, and then read the webtoon that is free to read in the Webtoon app. Then watch one of the summaries of the bangtan universe that will explain the things that have been filled in by the nonvisual content. This is a great way to complete those connections that you just can’t get with the videos alone and will offer a comprehensive overview of the plot(s) that you have been presented glimpses of. I enjoyed the longer video, I always thought the storyline is just fine when viewed in large chunks. In my mind it does not matter if you can remember what video V jumped off the scaffolding, just that you *do* remember that V jumped off the scaffolding. The BU content was not released in chronological order, and as I said before sometimes the content is not plot based and quite abstract, but it was presented to us in release order, so I do encourage anyone who is following the storyline to watch it in release order even if they might have seen something previously. Just reviewing on your own the things you have previously seen will allow you to appreciate connections. The BU is the literary equivalent of BTS’s genre blending musical style, able to bring together fantasy, gritty realism, allegorical and topical observances of philosophical discourse, and a treatise on sociological themes. I think it’s really kind of awesome.

Prologue actually is in short film format with embedded songs which provide content. While on the surface these four songs appear to be "the full story", Butterfly and House of Cards which are part of Prologue are very much integrated into the storyline. Many ARMYs sadly skip these in their "itineraries", then when these songs are approached by listeners they are seen a solely stand alone when they much like I Need Y, Run, and Young Forever are double entendre songs. By this I mean they can be appreciated outside the storyline or in the case of the two Prologue songs, lyrically from a storyline perspective. BTS used multiple medias to convey the storyline and sadly many ARMYs surprisingly forget this when looking at Prologue.

Because they put all the videos together, they cut out some parts of it (the endings) but the prologue ending is a key point and a plot twist so i'm sad you didn't get to see that

The BU... Bangtan Universe. This is like Sunnydale (where Buffy the Vampire Slayer lived :) except the monsters are ... extreme emotions and TIME. It is still a journey to adulthood (think Catcher in the Rye) through an Asian cultural filter. Remember these things. 1. This is FICTION. (I don't know why they don't give them fictional names but) ... the characters seem to be cast in parts that are the total opposite of their real lives. I think that Bang PD wanted to give them the feeling of walking in someone else's shoes (jmho) 2. Look up the Butterfly effect if you don't know it. 3. Consider parallel universes (sometimes you'll feel like you've walked into the Twilight zone...). You have a lot of work and deep confusion ahead if you trod this path. I thought you had started the Wings short films... but if you finished them you didn't post them on RU-vid... The BU is a dark convoluted place and clues to who they are and what is happening seem to be everywhere throughout their music and stage videos in the HYYH era and the Wings era. If you like finding clues in metaphors and symbolism then this is your game. There are 22 videos in this series plus a few pieces of actual art and literature... and a webtoon. There are a ton of "explanation videos" - some of them are incredibly good. It's a real journey... you will learn history and philosophy and you're life will change... BTS does this. There's still time to back out. But if you decide to open this door and take the challenge... well, I promise you won't be bored. Hey, I really like your videos. I would recommend to watch the BTS storyline explanation videos from xCeleste here on RU-vid. I think she does a really good job in explaining things. The whole storyline is just so detailed and you will see that stuff from 2015 will be explained in a music video from 2018 and vice versa. The whole concept of the storyline is amazing and so well thought out and it is hard to understand just from the music videos. For a full understanding you need to also consider the Bts webtoon and so much more and xCeleste gives you the needed information. But first you have to watch more of the storyline like the „Love Yourself Highlight reels“ and stuff if you don’t want to get spoilers. 😊 I purple you 💜

He spend the whole day out to avoid his dad, while his sister was pretty much trapped at home and therefore receiving all the bitting. One day he couldn't take it any longer as he entered the house and his dad is bitting hard on his sister.

The others wrote it, this is just the beginning, the storyline is so much more... But... I think, you got a little blinded by the technical side of the videos, so you missed important hints. Like in the first video, when the boys are together, they are happy, alone... and many more. I don't write it all down, not that i accidentally spoiler something, but pretty much everything means something, it's really deep... Next are the seven shortfilms, they are awesome!

"Whole story" 😆 you where funny this was 2015 and still the story in 2021 is not finish yet. Thanks the easy part of the story, tge explicit part that settes the story, after it comes MVs really hard to interprete because they are full of small hints through arts and science.
