not mine but explains some things - "The reason why I love this so much is because BTS actually took what haters always say they hate about them and made a whole music video with it. It's like "Do you want to criticize me? Here you have it, do it". The video is just the word irony. Before people said they hated the bright colors in DNA, they took them and did an incredible colorful mv. People said they hated the green screen, they used it and even made it look bad in purpose. They told RM to stop using filters, he uses them in the mv. They told JHope to stop making weird sounds, here you hear them. They even told Taehyung to stop using those glasses but he used them in the mv. I just love how they are saying "You can say whatever you want about me, I'll love myself, this is who I am". Remember when Yoongi said that everybody's reaction to this would be "How can they do this?" And hell yeah it was! "

I'm South African and I can assure you that this is exactly what South African music sounds like😂 its a genre called "gqom" here, and BTS also incorporated a whole lot of African inspired dance moves especially one called the "gwara gwara"😁🙌

At first, I was actually sad that you won't do any reaction videos because your reactions aren't not only that fanboying and screaming and such, but yours was getting all the details and pointing that out when most reactors didn't even notice (example: Yoongi's surrender/lonely/broken smile in FAKE LOVE when inside a room full of fire. If you watch a lot of #AamirKhan films, you notice the similarities. And the safari outfits immediately point to Africa as well as the burst of colors, as Africans are very colorful in their attire. I have to confess, today I woke up at 5am to watch the MV, I was impressed because of the style of the video, and I loved it so much because is so out of everybody's confort zone. It’s Korean and South African inspired. They incorporated the gwara gwara for example (the dance break you saw)

You can see the South African in it because of the background instruments but also the dancing and the video at the start showed a safari and kind of South African sun sent. And the dance did a dance called gwara gwara.

You might be confused on what's going on in the mv but that's done on purpose.. Bighit & bts never leave anything at it. Few examples are Namjoon using filters bc one time in a live someone told hik to stop using them or Taehyung wearing those same glasses someone said looked bad on him. There's so much more to it, it's all confusing bc it's also BTS' success in the last few years.. It's all so quick & fast that you can't keep up

It’s a mix of Korean, oriental and African. The choreography also has some African traditional dance. Nobody gives so much inspiration in loving oneself than BTS does! BTS is the best! There’s nothing like BTS!

I just discovered you this yr like few months ago, and all of a sudden this rv popped out on my yt feed. Your reaction 4yrs ago is very different than how you react today. This reaction was a fanboy reaction. How you react 4yrs ago and today are both great but with different vibe/feel. I certainly like your recent RVs, but as I watch this (and I also watched your bts concert and bts billboard contents 2-3yrs ago) the love for bts was very evident. a little context behind the mv, they're kinda tryna show they're allowed to do whatever and create whatever type of music and art and they don't care about other's opinions bc they love themselves and armys and who they are as artists and people. basically telling antis to stfu and mind their own business. this is kinda why the music and the video feels like a mash up of dna and ddaeng on steroids; showing that they have they're own creative freedom and they can create whatever the hell the want to. it's quite an interesting concept and i love it so much! really enjoyed the reaction!
