It’s funny, because there have been plenty of moments where Jin was scared of suga but these moments are just as cute. I see Jin more as his balance. ☺️ They remind me of those two older brothers in families that talk about the good ole days but end the night fighting over a spades game. 😂😂💜✨✨
The only reason he’s not afraid of Jin is because in Korea age is very important and if you’re caught disrespecting someone older than you than it’s a shame. I think it’s also the way Suga was raised because he said his father was strict so that’s probably something he learned to always have was respect for his elders
Yoongi acts his age when he's with Jin, like a younger brother. While Jin received the respect of a huyng from Yoongi. You will see other members hits Jin and kinda play in an aggressive physical play, but rarely from Yoongi. If saying Jin's interactions with others younger members are a bit chaotic, then he is calm when with Yoongi.

I don't think "afraid" is the right word to use. There's nothing to be afraid of. Respect or admiration are better words and therefore they will listen to the person whom they respect or admire. The younger generation in Korea are not that obedient. Lol

When members always told ud that 'Please jin hyung, act like your age'. I do understand this point, but at the same time actually Jin show off how to be a good oldest hyung in a group like what he did around BTS. Not just with suga, but with other members too. Jin is the type of hyung that easy going and friendly but can be serious when there is time. I love him this way. ALL BTS member can diss, but they compliment and have respect also depend on each other. BTS please last long together~
I think what they said about Jin like: "Hyung, please act like your age" is just like the way when you see your parents or elders trying to act young to pull closer the age gap but turns into awkward. Although they always complaining about this, however, they also always show how appreciate they have a big hyung like him, being so kind and matured and taking care of everyone. They are always just like naughty little dondsang in front of Jin haha ^^

I'm the first born and I have two sisters, but when I'm with my family my inner child comes out so I act all silly and stuff around them. So although I'm really responsible and are alot more mature than my sisters(due to being the first born) my sisters always sees me as childish and immature lol. But when you ask the others they'll never say that about me. So what I've learned is that no matter how mature or 'older sibling like' you are your youger siblings are always gonna remember you as the immature, childish, silly sibling😂I'm guessing that's the case with BTS too lol

It's from their American Hustle series/episodes - Suga was frustrated because Dante (the black guy) was belittling him and Jin when they were supposed to be working as a team on a mission/project (I can't remember what they were supposed to do). They were inside a store looking for props when Suga had enough of Dante's rude behavior and walked off. Jin went to calm him down and told the camera crew to stop filming so they could have a moment (Jin knew Suga was really mad). Suga eventually calmed down and they tried to patch things up with Dante by sharing a churros (I think) but he refused to accept it and then when they were practicing their mission dance or something, Dante hit Jin with a bird toy. It was not a really good show because they weren't really treated well in some episodes. But BTS came out stronger and ARMY got some memes out of it too, so we have some-what moved past this (for me, at least, it still pisses me off if I come across it...lol). Yoongi and Dante understood each other (as well as Jin) - Yoongi and Jin spoke understandable English and they were responsive to Dante when he talked too. Dante was frustrating them because he kept pushing their patience with his demeanor and attitude towards them. At one point, Dante was demanding that Yoongi and Jin dance in front of a kid or person and they both refused and Dante got even more pissed off and walked off.

Franciny Wanderbrock it was from AHL (American Hustle Life) and they had to cook for this guy and all the members were sorted into teams. Yoongi and Seokjin were a team and they had this guy with them and they were all supposed to cook something but the guy on their team didn’t want to participate. Sorry if my explanation makes no sense, I couldn’t finish AHL because it made me a little uncomfortable.. I also can’t really remember the names of the people on that show (except for Tony) :|

in an episode of american hustle life bts as a rookie had to do a mission(??) they had to perform in front of coolio while cooking and do some hip hop.. they are divided into 3 groups with different mentor.. they also have to wear something of course. to make the performance better. and for jin ans suga case. their mentor(??) didn't want to wear anything.. at that time.. he really a burdersome.. stubborn.. annoying.. troublesome ugh! suga really about to spit his fire because along that episode.. that man really annoying. p.s: But Tony jones is great with jimin.. you guys should see this too

Yoongi, Jin and Jungkook are the maknaes of their own family. When Jin's with Jungkook, it doesn't bother him to act like Jungkook's age. And they're 5 years apart so he really tries to have fun with Jungkook and he's maknae side really comes out. But when he's with Yoongi, he's more calm than he is with Jungkook. And Yoongi seems to be really strict with honorifics. He's a person with a lot of respect to his elders. Even though Jin doesn't really act his age sometimes, he still see him as his big brother. Like for once you'll see Yoongi shut up when he's with Jin. He can't really argue with him 😂 You can see Yoongi's maknae side with Jin. Lol I almost forgot about Hobi 😂 Hobi is also the maknae of the family. Eventhough Yoongi is 1 year older than him, they look like they're the same age. Rg Jardiolin Hobi and Jin have a similar effect of Yoongi but where Hobi brings out Suga's goofy side since Hobi is naturally goofy, Jin brings a sense of calm to Yoongi. He doesn't have to talk much because Jin is there - Jin who understands Yoongi's needs without him having to say them out loud. And as you rightfully said Yoongi does have a lot of respect now a days lol and love for Jin. Usually Yoonjin will have their fun playful moments behind the scenes tho

In reality, he wished he and Jin were on a friendship level, as seen in bon voyage 2, where Jin dared him to drop the honorifics. In all actuality, it is Hoseok who is strict with the honorifics and the hierarchy. While Jin and Yoongi may silently impose that hierarchy to the younger members, Hoseok actually gets mad when the maknae line do not respect this hyungness. There's also this program called Knowing Brothers where BTS played the role of classmates to the sunbaenim, ergo, honorifics are null and void (except again, for Hoseok). Yoongi actually said 'Jin' on cam (not on the actual program per se, but behind the scenes). It goes to show that he had long considered dropping formality with Jin.

For new ARMYs who havent watched American Hustle Life, the first clip is from AHS. Theyre divided into teams and gets paired up with local rappers sthg lyk that. The one paired up with Jin & SUga was really uncooperative, unagreeable and disrespectful towards them. In the first clip, they wanted to find a prop (sthg else) but decided to make do with the chicken doll. The guy disapproved, and hit Jin's head with that chicken doll. It wasnt a hard hit but it shows that he feels NO respect at all towards them. Suga was keeping it in the whole time(the guy also suddenly told them to dance in public for strangers when theyre uncomfortable), and in the first clip, bc of that incident towards Jin, Suga almost exploded. He was DONE. Dont worry, the guy was fired from the show, they replaced with someone more sincere befriending BTS.

oh man, i only watched the clip of suga, v, and jungkook going to Sister Act 2's vocal coach/inspiration. i've heard American Hustle Life was a bit cringeworthy to watch. not to mention, it's hard to see the boys being treated like crap on camera. damn, jin really endured it all. i would have been so mad too if i were suga.
Being the second oldest in the group, Suga has to partly take the role as the father in the group. Beside Namjoon as the leader, Suga sometimes need to take charge for controlling, pulling back when the conversation (situation) goes too far or out of control, be the pragmatic in the group. To him, Jin hyung is the only real hyung (age which Korean looking up to) that he can rely on and act like a dongsang just like his age. The opposite side of Min Yoongi being cute and childish which he release naturally just because he have a very matured and understanding hyung like Jin.

Jin's a really good hyung. People say that he should act like his age and stuff but like example, you're with a kid, don't you ask to write their names, you start counting 1-10, talking about what color is an object, and so on even though you can do algebra and trigonometry, you know different colors like turquoise, serenity and so on. to be very honest, although i fully agree Yoongi respects Seokjin as hyung and upholds the honorifics, i think Yoongi lowkey has a soft spot for Seokjin too. Seokjin tends to speak a little cuter or act a little cuter around Suga, which seems so natural for Seokjin he doesn't realise it. Like in the first clip, Yoongi was really upset but when Seokjin said "hajima" it wasn't a scolding or firm "stop it" but very subtly whining like "i understanddd i'm upset tooo" and Yoongi calmed down SLIGHTLY after that. I don’t know why I was so shocked too. I mean, I know Jin is the eldest but he so rarely exerts this power on the members that it’s almost funny to see him being all big and mighty. Meanwhile Suga puts the members in their place almost constantly and we are reminded of the dependent Hyung that he is when he says “Hyung will do this” “trust Hyung” and leads the younger members whereas Jin acts very similar to a younger member 😂
