High note on the first song was JK =), you'll get it eventually bro!!! keep going. Suga is not in this performance, he was on medical leave during this time recovering from a shoulder surgery. Notice the negative space when they were going down the stairs, they intended to leave it as is because that is where Suga's supposed to be. I enjoyed this reaction nonetheless.

8:00 If you noticed the empty space, they left it open to show that here was an absent member; SUGA couldn’t make it because he was on medical leave after getting left shoulder surgery to repair a 15-year torn ligament that he held off as it was getting closer to his enlistment time etc.

Oooooh, I remember when I started my BTS journey. I was so confused, but you will eventually get to know each member. It's also confusing because although J-hope is a rapper, he tends to do some vocal parts, as in the Life goes on song and Dynamite......The breakdown is paying homage to the great Michael Jackson. Notice some of the outfits they are wearing, the patch on the sleeve, the glitter jackets, etc. 😊😊😊

It was Suga that was missing for the whole show. He had shoulder surgery and was out of performances for months. The MJ dance with the hat was J Hope ( dancer) . Jk was the front singer in most of the songs( you called him V most of the time) but as soon as V came on screen you knew it was him. Don’t worry we all went through this, but very soon you will wonder how you got it wrong because it will be so obvious who they are. ARMY can pick out each member by their shadow, hand or moles.

Just some context, this was in 2020, so this was an award show without an audience. And Suga wasn't in this performance because he was recovering from a shoulder surgery. He injured his shoulder years prior when he was still a delivery boy. That was actually the accident that he referenced in the song "Amygdala", that you already reacted to. It's also the reason why he's not in the military service right now (like the other members) and is enlisting in public service instead. And the high note at 11:36 was Jungkook, he's the main vocalist.

The guys always made sure to carry a picture of him to always add him in pictures if not there was always a space left for him. Rm-blue usually but here looks silver Suga-missing due to medical leave but usually black In many of their older performances the colors are the same…watch the tiny desk concert where they are all sitting and you’ll be able to focus on their faces. 💜💜

This was the time Suga had surgery and couldn't perform for a while. I used colour coded lyrics and learned their voices before I got all their faces. JK and V were easy to mix up with looks but their voices are so distinct 👍🏽🖤💜

JHope is the feared dance leader, he was in that crazy jumpsuit. I cant get enough of his moves in this dynamite breakdown. They all have distinct movements. Try to learn those if faces are hard . I really like your enthusiasm. You are doing good even with getting them confused. We all were in the same situation when we first started. I think what also confused you a bit is that Suga was not present during this performance because of shoulder surgery so they opted to leave his spot open and use the backing track for Suga's parts. I think doing the "Introduction to the Bangtan 7 by Taylor M" will help you alot. There is alot of reading so pause as you need we don't mind lengthy videos. Thank you for being kind💜🇺🇲💜

ahahaha im cracking up. dont worry, its ok to not recognize them right away. you havent watched them long enough, its fine. dont force yourself. you can just enjoy the performances and armys can put the time in the comments for you to get back to see whos who. you ll be able to recognize them by just their shadows soon ahahah. happened to all of us. suga was missing cuz of his shoulder surgery. dont worry, he's recovered and doing well now. the most common mix up happen between V and JK for some reason, i always see people struggle to pick the right one amongst the 2. i personally dont see it, but maybe they do look alike idk.

JK have a sleeve tattoo and Pierce plus he's muscular the second strongest in the group v a distinct jawline that everybody can tell is so defined plus you can tell it's him the way he sing is soft and gentle but sometimes it'll be aggressive

You’re getting really great at the names! I miss that Suga couldn’t be there or on other Run BTS episodes and shows while he was recovering from that shoulder injury. Glad he’s much better now. That’s why he’s in the military longest since he is doing a different type of work there and has to stay longer. It’s really sweet that BTS always leaves a space open for wherever a missing member should beand their part open to play on the track. Oh, you couldn’t find Suga in this one so it made it harder and see you noticed 😂. I think because of that, you mixed up Jungkook (JK) in the song ON where he sings that high note. Suga’s part would have been when the other 6 were behind the drums and Suga would have been in the front rapping. So happy you’re enjoying the feel good vibes of these performances! Hi dear. 68yo Army here. Suga was not there because he had shoulder surgery and was out for 3 months. In the beginning when they're walking down the stairs they left Suga's place open. During his absence they would always have something there to represent him.

You could always learn the colour of their 🎤 's if you ever get stuck.

For me, when I first got into BTS in late June or early July of 2021, I had a hard time learning the members' names but now with the help of the fandom ARMY and the amount of content that I have watched about BTS, I have learned not only the names of the BTS members but also who they are as people and how they contribute to the music industry, and the videos that I watched were Introduction to BTS videos by Taylor Mari, Rice Squad, and XCeleste. Other than that, you could also watch Introduction to the BTS ARMY videos, as well as BTS interviews, and Run BTS episodes. But, do not worry about knowing the BTS members' names now. You will get it eventually, and before you realize it, you will be down the BTS rabbit hole.

The easier way to recognize Suga from J-Hope: Is he dancing like he has no bones? It's J-Hope. Is he rapping like a savage, spitting fire? It's Suga. The other you sometimes make a mess is with JK: his voice is perfection for any kind of genre. J-Hope and Suga are good singers, but they don't have a voice like JK's. Congrats for recognizing Jin!! He was difficult to me at my beginning in this awesome rabbit hole 😂

I love this performance but sad cause Suga was recovering from surgery and was not present but I love how they left spaces for where he should be standing 😢💜 High note in ON is JK. The Army Bomb light stick is available from KPop stores but be careful as some are fake. I ordered mine from the official Korean site to the UK and it cost me with shipping £110.

Honestly I think you are doing good with their names. It takes some time, especially since they are always changing their hair color and style. Pointer: V is taller than Suga,Sings and does not rap, exceptionally good-looking (Visual in the group),is a vocalist but rearly starts their songs, you're bound to find him being the one to break down the song because of his deep voice,or in their earlier videos V takes a growling loud part but in Dynamite and Butter he used his wider range and went high on his falsetto that's probably why you couldn't identify him in Dynamite, meanwhile Suga mainly raps,sings rarely and not for long,just slightly taller than Jimin whom you have identified well. JK is the main vocalist,so he starts their songs most of the the times,any other high long note other Jimin you hear its JK and his tall too,most times his in in front during choreography and exchange with Jimin but V and Jin are placed behind and only come to the front if they have a specific part to sing. Lastly,Jhope is mainly a rapper and raps mostly but can sing so he does that sometimes,try to recognize him as the slimmest guy among them that raps and also a very good dancer because he is the lead dancer that teaches them the choreography. In all these ,i will advise you to give yourself some time dont be anxious,it will settle down gradually as you continue to react.I still feel you are losing a lot by not putting subtitles because it not just their choreography and musicality that's good but also their lyrics are life changing and i thought i heard you say in one of your earliest reaction that you love a good lyrics because you are a lyricist too? You couldn't find Suga because he wasn't there. He had some months off because he had major surgery to fix his damaged shoulder (that he had injured years earlier in an accident while he was moonlighting as a delivery driver) You can see the story in Amygdala.
