Another silver ARMY here. If you like jazz, there is a Tiny Desk Korea episode (3 songs) by the member V (Kim Taehyung) from last year with backup singers and a jazz quintet. V is sometimes referred to as an "old soul" because of his appreciation for music from the past. He often uses his higher register in BTS but on his album LayoVer (where the Tiny Desk songs are drawn from) he went full on including lower registers. You will love it. As people are telling you, we are in their solo era due to the guys fulfilling their mandatory military service commitments. 💜Welcome to the rabbit hole.

Oh BTS started out all hip-hop and rap mixed with some rnb during their debut. The three rapper, RM, SUGA and J-Hope come from underground rap and street dancing backgrounds so they KNOW their hip-hop. They have definitely diversified and stretched the boundaries of their discography with varous genres as well as languages. They have songs with hip-hop sound, rnb, soul, ballads, bubblegum pop, latin pop, jazz, mainstream pop, EDM, etc so discovering their music is definitely an adventure. They surprise you with every new release, even as soloist, even if you are a long time fan. As a music lover, you will definitely enjoy their music :)

Because two rappers started out in underground, they got a lot of criticism for "selling out" to idol culture. They really didn't, but lost a lot of "friends" and were really hurt by the hatred. With this song, they are saying they don't care anymore. They have become super successful and don't want to see their unsuccessful critics anymore. End of story, or mic drop.

65 year old Army- we are out here! Me and my 71 fellow Army friend geek out over them together, haha! They just make me happy, they make me smile, make me vibe, comfort me... they are a tremendous force for good in a weary world. Manifesto ON would be good, Jungkook does a lovely bit of soaring vocal in that. And you should go back to the beginning of you want to really see.them young - No More Dream and Danger.

This is just FYI in case no one else has said it yet: with most BTS official MV's, you won't have copyright issues and won't need to pause or put a filter over the screen (but feel free to pause as often as you want, ARMY loves reactions and will watch with or without pauses!) Live performances you will sometimes have issues though. BTS loves it when people do reaction vids to their music, so they made it easier for us. 🥰💜

I was going to suggest On Kinetic Manifesto. Good London based Army 72, Army since end of 2020. A really crazy, high energy song would be So What, preferably a stage performance, or DNA, or a pretty song like Crystal Snow with exquisite vocals.

@Robk Reacts, i’m surprised you don’t know who Steve Aoki is he’s been around for 20 something years as a DJ/producer he works with many Western artists as well as BTS he created the mixed beat here of “Mic Drop” Collaborated with BTS before this song”The Truth Untold “ that the BTS vocal line sing in a live concert but there is no music video for but if you do the live concert version be careful for copyrights. Also Steve Aoki is the son of the CEO conglomerate owners of the worldwide restaurant at Benihana‘s if you remember Japanese barbecue back in the 1980s that was very popular! Stevie Okie has collaborated with thousands of different artists by making different beats and music selections for these artist and BTS is very well in this category and he really likes BTS and they are very good friends. Right now BTS will be in the military until 2025 of June one member is already out he has completed his service and there will be another member who will be released on October 17 of this year. Check out not just the group music but their solo albums each individual BTS member have done solo activities that doesn’t mean that they have disbanded it was a choice before they entered the military service that they each would experience producing and creating their own solo music with the help of other producers and composers. ON is a great choice. Black Swan is from that same album too (Map Of The Soul 7) and it’s yet another entirely different genre although both explore aspects of the Jungian concept of “Shadow”. They’re both about acknowledging and moving past specific fears and/or obstacles they have experienced.

Yes, all official BIGHIT music videos are useable without pauses or copyright issues as long you play the opening music and logo with them. Just be sure they are official music videos :)........concerts and lives are usually problems unless you use only fancams which are generally not great.

If you want to hear really hard, a fair bit of Suga's solo work (released as Agust D) goes straight for the throat 😁 I agree with On, you'll love it. I think you might also like (from their early years) is Not Today. In all the cases, look at the lyrics! They write them, and they're usually pretty meaningful. And yeah there are lots of silver army around. I'm younger than you but my kids aren't much younger than BTS 😂

Since you enjoy RMs voice/tone. You might want to check out Wildflower it features Youjeen lead singer from the Korean rock Cherry filter. The lyrics are amazing. It is about his struggle with being the leader.
