This song was an interesting twist, especially after watching Baepsae. BTS is now giving young people something to think about when trying to keep up with expensive fashion trends. Another thought provoking message by BTS. Love them!

I was poor growing up, and I never treated my parents like that. I learned to deal with idiots at school, I took it as "training for life", and learned to use my inteligence to make them feel bad or leave me alone or I fucked them up with teachers. There is no justification to want your parents to die from a heart attack for working to much for stupid things, when they are already giving you life, education, food and love.

sometimes we take it all for granted but forget the one who give us life into this world... no matter how struggle we are or poor we are... cause I myself not come form wealth family... I grow up in a poor condition and experience all kind of stuff during my childhood and teenager year but still family will stick with you no matter what. especially your mom and dad.. for me, just be great full that we are still breathing and alive even though life is not as easy as we want it to be!

A lot of BTS more political and social statements is actually backed by Suga (if anything it’s Suga and RM equally) Suga often criticizes the shortcomings of society and never has a problem bringing it up. Both Suga and RM come up with the topics for these kind of songs and will work together to flesh them out the most (out of all the members)

I feel like Suga is actually more political than RM. In interviews when asked about political things, RM tends to give a more politically correct answer whereas Suga tends to speak more openly, RM has a lot of concerns about consequences whereas Suga doesn't care as much. Still I think they're equally involved in this and speaking on issues was the group's original concept so I don't think the members would have any objection, they're all in the same boat and share similar viewpoints and so does the team at Bighit. If you want more songs with interesting sociopolitical messages, I would recommend Go Go, N.O, Am I Wrong, Not Today, Change (RM & Wale collab). There's also the song Paradise, its based on something significant but I feel like they simplified the message a bit too much so its not as impactful as the others.

I agree that Suga pulls no punches and talks straight, where RM is more nuanced, but I also feel that As RM is the 'leader' he probably feels that he has to be more circumspect, and Suga probably feels he has more freedom. Because of that, I wouldn't want to say we can really tell what RM's views are - maybe we'll know one day. In the meantime, I see him as plotting the course, perhaps loading the gun, and being able to let Suga fire the bullets - but I could be all wrong, of course! If anything is certain, I think it is that their views will be subtler and deeper and more detailed than can be encapsulated in a 3 minute song! I'm just really relieved to find a modern band that has a social conscience, and says in their music some of the things I want to say and hear. It's been SO LONG!

@@daegu8094 Yes you're right, the others don't speak out much, though Jin has spoken up on chart manipulation in his own way. My impression is that in Korean society, people really don't speak up - why speak yourself is so important, I think. I was specifically commenting on the communication styles of Suga and RM since this song reflects those. The others, don't seem to take the same stands, and I see no obligation for them to do so. I'm quite Suga-ish myself - a spade is a sh#t-covered shovel in my house - but I also really appreciate those who can measure their expressions so that others can hear rather than just react against it. Suga, IRL, is very measured in his reactions, very gentle (actually me too), but when it comes to being angry, well, you'll know when we vent! Once I caught myself in mid-vent at colleagues and adjusted my ire, so that they didn't have to deal with it at full pace - I still said what was needed, and we worked it all out OK. I felt bad though that I did that - we were ALL under SO much pressure. Thankfully they know me well, and know I have their backs too, and stand up for them a lot! Love 'em to bits. Anyway, I just think there's room for all styles of communicating, and I love watching others and learning from them ... and trying to mend my ways. I love RM, and I do love Suga too. ... did you perhaps read my comment as a criticism? I wasn't meant. Just an observation

They didn’t touch on J-hope’s verse in the explanation but he slightly talks about what you were talking about in that he acknowledges that they’re kids and they wanna fit in but he warns them that at some pint they’re gonna regret pushing their parents to get them things that do t matter in the long run (And I think we all go through this once we grow up and look back in the things we begged our parents for, especially when we have to start paying for things ourselves)

I'd say the rapline as a whole, but especially Namjoon and Suga are very socially conscious - according to Namjoon what mostly happens is someone will suggest a topic or come up with an idea (Like say Suga talking about how dreams don't need to be the end all be all of meaning in your life, which then inspired the creation of Paradise) Its a collaborative effort on all of their parts and it would be wrong to simply put it on any singular member - theyre a team at the end of the day!

20:08 you're right that there's two sides to the issue (and i'm paraphrasing), "Adults don't understand, kids have it really hard"...I agree that kids have it hard today, but I had it hard in the 90's, my parents had it hard in the 60's (and don't for a second think they didn't because they lived in a world where segregation existed, okay?). EVERY kid in every generation experiences similar issues related to trying to fit in, not being bullied, being judged, etc. and want to buy the hottest brand, be trendy, have what their friends have. This disparity in the generation gap is that adults have outgrown the need to please others and fit in. Their Adulting now and are more worried about having decent jobs, feeding their kids and paying bills. Kids aren't mature enough to understand that the stuff their worrying about as a teenager won't matter once they've graduated. Youth are too nearsighted and adults are too farsighted....it's not that adults weren't kids once too; they were and they acted the same and had the same issues with their own parents. I do agree that youth today have to deal with social media which I didn't have to deal with as a teenager, I was able to go home and turn off the bullying, the haters, the negativity. Kids today can't really do that so which I find so sad and heartbreaking. I want to tell my nieces to stop being online 24/7 but that's not how the world is now and youth are at much more of a risk than ever before for mental health issues, depression and suicide. I think it takes groups like BTS to narrow the gap between children and parents when they're lyrics talk about "having a little more respect for your parents, they work hard to provide for you and you're spending their money on frivolous things that don't really matter in the scheme of things. Buying the padded jacket isn't going to do anything to strengthen your character or make you a better person." Wouldn't it make more sense if people just LOVED THEMSELVES for who they are and what they have instead of trying to be like everyone else? I have seen a change in the younger generation who ARE trying to be more unique and I applaud them for being strong despite the haters. However, I also notice that that SAME generation seem to be more entitled. As an adult it's hard to swallow that mentality because I know that you have to work for it, it shouldn't just be handed to you. BTS works HARD and makes a lot of sacrifices to fulfil this dream they have, they didn't sit on the sofa expecting their parents to keep feeding them. I also like that BTS isn't blaming one group over another, they talk about the older generation not giving the younger generation a chance, etc. Sorry...off my soap box now...not sure where this all came from! Thanks for your reactions!

They’re attacking mostly the system tho. In the bigger picture most see the “trendy” kids as the problem for starting these “trends” but it’s actually the capitalistic system that encourages exclusivity to gain “inclusion” if that makes any sense.

To be fair yoongi (suga) has a lot of political opinions as well, the rappers at least write all their verses in songs so you get their perspective in those topics too, and about the creative process, even if Namjoon was the only one to brings these ideas i dont think the rest of the members would question him too much bc they respect and agree with his philosophical/political way of thinking the only one that could be against it is bighit

I paused the video before Suga finished his verse to ask my mum if I was an ungrateful kid or asked for things because others had it. She told me I never did and she made sure me and my brother well raised. I was so worried that I was ungrateful. This song made me think. Growing up with only one parent and one sibling money was tight but she always did her best to raise us well and to make sure we didn't go without even when that meant working 3 jobs while taking university classes, she never missed an important moment though so proud of her.

I remember when Tear was released... the vLive namjoon did was fascinating. He had a demo of the original Fake Love-- which was deep and gravely. Grunge really. He explained how it was too low for the members' voices. When they finally had the right range it had turned into a totally different melody. Maybe that explains how so many of their songs with deep and meaningful lyrics have such a bright, upbeat tempo.

I've seen somewhere that they show their songs first to the Bang Si Hyuk PD, and then Bang PD gives advices what suppose to do with the songs, whether add something or change something or else.. But if you realize, BTS have their own theme for the album.. the three first albums talked about school, of course about the struggle and others.. the next three albums talked about youth, also including the struggle in youth.. and so on.. it's not that they want to talk about the government or else.. but sometimes, mostly, our lives also include the government itself.. the birocracy, the rules, the environment. They talk it all with their songs.. because life isn't just about fallin in love and break up.. It also contain the struggle in life, the government, the system, the rules, the environment.. It's like they want to show us, despite of all of the barrier, you can still find a way to get through to it 😊😊 Because like Suga once said; the world always offers competitiveness, it never offers dreams and how to achieve the dreams.. so here's BTS offers you courages to achieve your dreams in this world, breaking through anything that might standing in your way

According to several interviews, RM may bring the ideas to the table, but it's always 100% a group effort, between the 7 of them, and their CEO. However, RM does have the majority share of lyric writing credits on their albums (with Persona, he wrote 80% of the lyrics), meaning the message will tend to sound like it's coming from him. Regarding people who watch but don't subscribe, too many times, ppl get into BTS, and then end up turning their channels into Kpop reaction channels. Since you actually started with the most manufactured of kpop groups, and have said in other videos, you will eventually react to kpop going forward, some ppl may not want to subscribe. Just saying. :) Still, it's enjoyable watching new people who pay attention to the lyrics and the messages discover BTS. So thanks for your time and effort!

5:20 a lot of armys like to pretend BTS does everything by themselves and they come up with all the ideas but that’s just not true, to answer your question Bang Si Hyuk the CEO has a lot to do with it, I remember when the WINGS album came out BTS themselves talked about how their CEO gave them a topic to talk about because he had a vision and story for the album, the BTS universe has to fit in, so he gave the topic and name of the song and BTS wrote it, I strongly believe he is personally behind the story line and the theories and all the books that are related to the story is because he read them first, of course the members are taken into consideration every step of the way and if Yoongi or Namjoon or etc etc want to make an input Bang Si Hyuk listens, but I think he is the actual person that leads how the group develops and tell their story. [edit] 13:30 baepsea is for young adults (university/working people), spine breaker is for children/teens 22:00 that’s not the actual point of the song. imo you have to have a good foundation to not feel the pressure, I honestly never gave a fxck when I was in high school. The song is about parents that don’t have the economic stability to be giving their kids everything, they’re saying “you see how hard your parents work so stop being a brat and help by not complaining about not having things” they don’t have to be so materialistic. The parents are doing their job by keeping their tummy full and giving them regular shoes to walk in, if they want Balenciaga shoes then they can find a job and earn them, that’s what the song is about.

RM is someone who has a consistents view and clear principles regarding many things. He is the one who writes BTS songs. He even said in one of his lives that he wrote 90% of persona album lyrics. You can see in the songs credits his name is in all of the album's songs even in the members solos but when it comes to speaking in interviews and lives about social and political ideas, he doesn't express his thoughts much because people are always tend to criticize and hate, whether he is right or not, especially for a large and well-known group, people and articles do not say RM but rather a leader of BTS, he bears the image of the entire group being the leader, which leaves the mic to suga who has explicit and direct views and does not fear from the media but he is still known for his opinions and principles, such as the time in one of his lives when he showed a statue of one of the artists showing the liberation of Palestine and ended his lives with saying Palestine

Both songs are about the pressures of society on Korean young people: parents and society at large putting pressure on them to make it in the real world while making that leap almost impossible, and the microcosm of peer pressure to fit in. So anyone who goes against the tide is basically screwed. That RM and Suga could have these thoughts and articulate them so well and concisely at that time in their lives is astonishing. As an older ARMY-60 decades plus- the whole progressive concepts of their music continues to amaze.

I don’t think he did a vlive for Baepsae, but from Wings forward, RM has made a vlive after the release of every album, including his latest mixtape. In fact all the members have followed up and done the same after they release a song. In these vlives he explains his experience with the album, and since he writes most of the lyrics he’ll explain about those. Sometimes he’ll get the member who wrote the song in the vlive to talk about his song. They’re very interesting and educational. They’re in the v app, so you probably won’t be able to react to them in YT without getting copyrighted.

Their songwriting is basically all of them write songs, beats, melodies, lyrics and send it into to Bang PD. Who will look a it and give them feedback, then maybe pick this melody is good for a comeback, they they work on that together to complete it, going through everyone writing their ideas for the song and then sending it in again. They also have in-house producers who are apart of this process. They've stated that SUGA is actually the one who has the most power in the group when deciding their sound, but RM is also very influential as the two of them has the longest history of music and music production. They're having basically a song camp, they work on songs all year and then sends them around. Their CEO, bang PD graduated from the best school in the country, and is a recognized producer on his own. Which makes his understandign of music and music production so much deeper. He isn't just a business man who wants to make money, but a music producer who wants to make music, that's all.

I hope you realize that BTS writing spinebreaker is actually from the perspective of a young person trying to talk common sense into their own generation. This song was written when BTS was younger. Members had just gotten out of school themselves, so they're aware of social pressures. Back when BTS started out, their company didn't have the money to dress them in designer clothing like the rest of the Kpop industry. ARMYs back them would pitch their money together and buy them clothes so they wouldn't get looked down upon. This societal pressure of following the trend in Korea leads all the way into adulthood. The parents in Korea even go into debt making sure their kids dress well and arent teased in school. I think BTS is addressing the younger generation so that theyll be the ones to break this cycle.

Big Bang is just saying the final word so it doesn’t really depend on the group depends on how the lyrics works and if it’s gets true by the big boss / production but as you can see RM is always writing the albums this is a lot everyone really likes his lyrics

obviously both songs have two different perspective as both were written and published in two different eras. spine breaker is published during BTS's early carrier which mainly focused on teenagers, school and education system. meanwhile, bapsae is published after the school trilogy era which means it mainly focused on how youth or young adults that had graduated from high school viewed the world system and try to survive in it or find their place in societies. its so fascinating how BTS songs progress and form different type of perspectives but it actually very compatible with their carrier journey and how the world is in that time.

I always felt like the point isn't that its wrong to want things. It's not that there isn't pressure on young people, because their songs make it clear they understand the burdens of young people. The point is that when you're poor your parents are already suffering watching you suffer, and work hard to take the burden onto themselves to alleviate that suffering and give you all they can. This doesn't give you the right to take advantage of that, and make things even harder for them than they already are. The pain of not being able to provide the life for your children that you dreamed is only made worse when your children think you should be doing more/better. It seemed to me the problem being pointed out is entitlement, and lack of sympathy/empathy for the parents who would literally give you the world if they could.

They are not making noise on just one side...they are taking both sides. I know it's hard to survive everyday life as a teen. Back in high school..I grew up with nothing because I came from a broken family but yet my dad thought me that material things are not important in this world but in my mind..at some point i need to have this just to have friends and just to fit in.. but in the end I learned something...That material things are more special when you earned them on your own. For me they are just saying that we dont have to waste our parents effort for any material things in this world for nothing or just to be fame or to fit in. We can help them by treasuring their efforts for us.Material things are going to fade so if we just waste their money or efforts for that their sacrifices will be wasted.

Me too, I symphatized with the teenagers, their concerns and all, we can see how our society works but at the end of the day, the "Love yourself" will definitely remind us how to love and embrace the essence of who we are. "Fill your head with a good sense before it's too late." We just need to follow those wake up calls so that our thirst of change can be relieved.

the thing is during our teenage years, the hierarchy of need we're trying to fulfill is social acceptance. however, this song i think isn't about questioning that sense of need which is the "need to belong." i believe what bts is saying here is to be realistic as well and start weighing what matters more. i was a teenager too and i myself was insecure and wanted to fit in. however, i had constant communication with my parents and i did observe them and how we lived and what we're truly capable of... i tried not to ask for what we couldn't afford but also, my parents were vocal about it and said "don't live beyond your means." that's what's lacking with some parents... they give vague answers or just say "no" without explanation. my parents went to the extent on discussing our budgetting and finances, to make us see the bigger picture. but that's also a huge problem with many kids - they don't care to understand and fixate more on pleasing others, forgetting they're hurting their own parents in the process, not just physically or financially but also mentally and emotionally, because parents innately want to give their kids what they want. i'm a mother now too, by the way. and i love discussing both baepsae and spinebreaker with my daughter. i'm trying to strike a balance. that is the genius of these two songs by bts. 💜

This may seem a little unrelated, but bear with me: BTS had a little collaboration with LINE (a social networking thing) some time back, and each member created a character to represent themselves. There are videos you can watch (and react to) that shows the entire process. After everything was said and done, and they had distinct characters and merchandise for those characters, the boys then got together to hash out backgrounds and a story line to intertwine their cute little guys. If you check out the BT21 channel, you can see the animated cartoons and music related to their characters. Anyways, this behind the scenes look at them sitting as a group and hashing out their ideas is, I believe, a good representation of how they figure out the nuances of their music, the direction they want to take, and how to fit everything together into a cohesive album and concept - as a group, each member contributing ideas and suggestions, and RM juggling everything together into something that makes sense as a whole, which he then takes into discussions with the company. It's fascinating to see, and I think you'd enjoy their process.

Because the wording BTS uses in Baepsae are more so idioms than just straight lyrics they can be easily translated in various ways. The lyrics are largely the same and follow the same meaning but just like in English there are various ways to translate/say something

They all gather together to discuss the topic of the song that they want to put out and all the members state their opinions related to the song that they want to include. Certain members will then write lyrics and melodies and send them to the producers, Some of the melodies and lyrics will get selected and they will get feedback on the stuff they sent. The final mixing is done where the members check their parts and voice out if they want to change something. The rappers also their write their own verses in every song and decide the flow themselves.

Everyone is saying that they are just very social conscious and stuff and yes, they are, but i liked to put on the fact that they just talk about these things, u know? Like the process is that, they talk a lot about things like this and then the inspiration just flows. Imagine been part of a group of friends, sometimes they tell you about their love problems or struggles, and sometimes all of you talk about some important issues happening around the world or just in your country, BTS are like that too. I still can remember when Nam told us that, that he just made song of their friends toughs or story life, and they sometimes talk about deeps topics like these and inspiration just hit them. And also i liked to remember you all that all of them write some songs, but they of course use the better ones, and almost always there's more than one writer per song

The video of this song is done by all of them from the concept to the camerawork and dance routine. It is one of the episodes of BTS GAYO (The show they did before RUN BTS) That's how the MV come out. Also for the live version of it, they wear the same clothes (which they choose themselves during that bts gayo episode. It would be nice to watch that mini-episode, MV and extremely fun concert live of it! :)

Tbh when you mentioned bts talking about young people being oppressed by the older generation but also dissing youngsters who spend money recklessly, that reminded me more of go go :') I feel like spine breaker is purely about young adults who still depend on their parents' money, while go go is about youngsters who spend their own hard earned money recklessly because theyve lost hope for the future and would rather just enjoy the now. Its very interesting how they tackle all three generations so well. I love them for it :')

You seem to be giving BTS the respect they deserve as artists not just nodding your head to them as entertainers. Though I am indeed one of the people who watch but don't subscribe. That's in no way because I don't find your videos to be entertaining, but I'm pretty much a BTS only fan in terms of kpop, and I don't subscribe to any reaction channels because they tend to branch off into other groups. To answer your curiosity of knowing the thought process and driving force behind these kind of songs, here's my limited knowledge on it, All the members have mentioned this in multiple interviews that RM and Yoongi are the driving force and pillars of BTS both writing wise and theme-concepts wise and Jhope is a strong supporter / backbone since it all started from these 3. Yoongi moreover than RM points out his political thoughts very bluntly. He hates capitalism. He randomly talks about these things straight forwardly and nonchalantly. RM reads a lot and he is a very knowledgeable person. He constantly tries to educate himself on various things. Very good at putting his thoughts in words that's why hes such good speaker. You can witness this in their various videos such as movies and 'RUN BTS' episodes or 'Bangtan TV' episodes or "Festa Episodes' etc. You should watch the making of BT21 characters (a Line app collab with BTS for cute characters merch), that's the series of behind the scenes videos that clearly shows their creative minds and thinking process, its amazing really! Also Bang Shi Hyuk (CEO Bighit) has maintained and nurtured them with a culture of discussing their problems, worries, conflicts with each other as well as with fans. They never shy away from putting their honest opinions forward. Its rooted and learned from Hip-hop culture as well. Yoongi, RM and Jhope grew up learning from that culture. This is off topic but, considering my limited knowledge about Korean entertainment companies that produce music in 'kpop' genre (please note Korean entertainment industry is lot more than just kpop it has diverse genres of music to offer) it would be really difficult to put out songs like this if BTS wasn't signed to BIGHIT. Not a lot (very few) of idols get to write-produce-compose their own music. In most cases its the company in-house producer-writers providing the material and the idols singing and performing it. (That is why Kpop is generalized as manufactured music.) So its a huge thing when BTS goes out and puts political and social issues as 'kpop' music. Its their specialty as an artist to write-compose-produce-sing and perform music. A lot of research has been done and published online that explains these things deeply. Even Bang Shi Hyuk has given lectures about BTS and they are available on YT. English isn't my first language so kindly ignore my mistakes. Good Day :)

I remember shopping in thrift shops, sometimes making three pairs of pants, one skirt (that i used with tennis shoes bc flats were impractical when walking home from school) and one new pair of shoes last me the whole school year. I would have complained except I saw my mom and dad working endlessly and having less quality items/life than I did. I learned to appreciate what i got that much more when i eventually earned to buy it for myself. I thank them for the life lesson all the time even though I might have hated it at the time. i don’t know if a song would have convinced me otherwise if i was in that position where my parents could buy me the things i wanted back then lol

If I'm not forced to talk about my problems and how I feel or if no one notices that I'm trying to hold back, I'll just stay silent and try to let time go by. for me too it was hard to wrap my head around the dynamic of the group and break away from the western mindset of analysing a group like “okay so there’s a leader and he does THIS while the others do THAT” but in bts’s case i think their creative process in a lot of ways is a collaborative thing among all 7. for example the three rappers write their verses so if they weren’t on the same page then their songs wouldn’t have a cohesive message. and the vocal line contributes to the writing and production process just as much so they’ve always spoken out about how they all feel strongly about the messages they put out in songs. it just so happens that RM and yoongi have spoken outright more times than others about their beliefs but i don’t think they would put out songs that every one of them didn’t feel strongly about.

Your point is very right.. But how it changes things is that it gives confidence to try to change! Like it makes a person think and reflect on himself, and then they can try to change and tell themselves that they are right! Bts said that it is the right way.. you see Just like love myself, it is just a thought, just carrying the consciences inside also makes a huge difference

RM is not the only force when they make political statements..SUGA also has as much as role in such ..infact if you look at SUGA and his work its all about socially conscious issues and he bluntly talk about it in his songs or when he speak personally or with media whereas other artist are too carefu l or scared of the world to be that blunt and honest to share their genius and sensible views. Its just that yoongi is not hyper like others and speak only few words and those words are always useful and sensible ones.when he talk in press media always pay attention to his words coz the way he speak about their messages and song is GENIUS

From what we have seen them say, the hyungs do most of the writing and then they pitch to the agency. Some get cut and some make it. As you know it has to go with their theme as well. They decline to discuss politics but channel it into their music, hidden behind good beats and mindblowing choreo. Ultimately their message gets to the people. You should watch kdramas and you will understand some of the explanations much better.

The theme of keeping out with the trend is found in many other countries (mine included). Legit, when something is on trend on a particular season, you walk into a mall and just see copies of people wearing the same thing. But the thing is, it’s not just for teens. Many grown ass men and women, even parents, tend to always show off. Especially in my country, people spend all of their money to buy unnecessary expensive shit/brands and they don’t have 20 dollars to pay for a fucking meal.

About teenagers, it depends on where you live. I didn't have issues like that, or how American movies depict high school etc. I never have and still don't care about fashion and trends. I wear what i like. We didn't have those ''divisions'' the cool kids, the jocks etc. BTS were teenagers too at that time but had the sense to realize the stupidity of the situation. I didn't grow up well off either, we wore what our parents gave us, it was no big deal. The whole mentality has to change.

I think ,as a Korean teenager when that song was released, they tried to show Korean teenager what they are doing wrong, even if they cannot change all such things,, cause it's common situation all around the globe. At then, the trends(wearing the same padded jacket which is super expensive) was extremely bad that even some students did mischieves like bullying the weak and get money only to get those jacket. It was especially somewhat serious in Korean so it might be hard for foreigners to completely understand what was going on and what BTS was trying to depict and criticize.

I grew up poor. Most of my clothes were hand-me-downs from ladies at my dad's church, plus a few things from Wal-Mart for back-to-school. I think songs like this (there were songs like this when I was a kid, too) helped remind me that I wasn't the only one who couldn't have nice things and that - even though kids can be mean about shallow things - I didn't have to be. That it was okay to be different. But, honestly, I think this song targets kids whose parents can afford some nice things, but not the nicest things, which I guess could be confusing. If you've never seen your parents struggle to make ends meet, you may not appreciate that what you're asking is a burden. Even if it's hard fo be a kid, and it is, I think it's good that the message is at least out there that "Hey. Sometimes people are going to be mean to you because your shoes are cheap. Don't be the person that passes that ugliness on to your parents."

i can be wrong but i think the process of creating their topic for a song is basically based on the whole album, their theme. the story they want to tell/ share. the factors or influences could be the current social status or environment they have at that moment. some songs were inspired by the fans who sent them letters sharing their struggles or success. could be their own feelings or observations around the.

Every video have slight difference in the translation because every video maker have their own dictionary and different understanding about Korea whether the language, the culture etc. So just take the general meaning of it, don't confused yourself. All of them write lyrics and make song, they will give the demo tape to bighit, then the CEO and PDs will choose which to produce (they discuss with the members too) Same goes to the choreography, stage performance and album concept,,,, the agency appreciate their idea and opinion
