You've met our Queen Spring Day - this song has been on the Korean charts since the day it was released. It's a song that has captured the hearts of millions of people since it's sad but still hopeful. After you've seen the explanation video you're never going to be able to listen to the song the same way again. For me this is what sets our boys apart from other groups; deep lyrics that are like a warm hug when we needed it. Suga's verse always hits me because I know how pain can be translated into anger... Fun fact time: Several years ago the boys put out a survey for ARMY to pick songs for particular situations. Spring Day was on A LOT of them to the point Suga was flipping through pages to find one that didn't have that first. He called it a zombie song since it's never died. Edit: I'm sorry to hear about the loss of your mom. I lost my dad about 12 years ago so I understand what it means to lose a parent.

I also cried with you even though I watched this video so many times. Spring Day is the Queen of all BTS songs and it has a deeep deeep meaning. On a lighter note, I suggest you watch Save Me MV as well. It is a one-shot MV, no effects, no heavy costumes or make up, just them dancing and brilliant camera work! Keep it up!

Many of us were crying along with you, I’m sure. I lost my dad and mom a few years ago, and some songs still put me right back into missing them and wishing to be with them again someday. I’m sorry for the loss of your mom way too early. I hope you’re never embarrassed to let yourself feel grief and show it. It only increases my respect for you, that’s for sure.

I'm sorry about your mother, spring day has the power to definitely hit you in the feels. I lost my mom, sister, sister's husband and an auntie all in a 4 month period about 4 years ago as well, and I lost my husband of 30 years just last year. BTS has a way of finding you when you need them the most, I found them about 6 months before my mom died. I listened to this song on repeat, I didn't know how to grieve back then, so I'd just watch this song and cry. But it helped me get through it. Ofc I could not block out the grief when my husband died, that was impossible (which is better, you can't really ignore grief or it eats at you, you gotta work through it) spring day now reminds me to have hope, because ultimately that's what the song is about. Namjoon wrote this while thinking of lost friends, but the mv is about something more. If you watch the mv, and the explanation, remember the mv is about something awful and tragic, the song itself is about missing people you love and having hope for the future in spite of the sorrow. I separate the song from the mv, I watch lives or just listen, because otherwise I can't help but think of what the mv symbolizes and I get upset. Also idk if anyone told you, if you watch the mv and explanation, trigger warning, you'll probably cry and get angry, so be in the right headspace before watching the explanation. I am sorry for your loss 💜. I lost my 5 year old son 4 years ago to brain cancer and this song always brings me to tears. BTS has healed me in many ways, when they found me, I was at my lowest point in my grief journey. This song expreses how I feel so well. 💜

Spring day is worth reacting to both the MV but you need to then watch the explanation video my Italian ARMY - all I will say is bring tissues. The story behind this is heart breaking. This song has not left the charts in Korea since it was released. We call her our Queen. It hits hard. Makes me cry every time I hear it even now years later.

I’ll just say Dynamite was such a needed gift to lift us up in the darker days of mid 2020 pandemic. Spring Day is one of the most overwhelming songs/MVs. I’ll just say save it till you are ready the explanation it’s a very real tragedy (there are a few the Italian Army one is the most accurate but very graphic about the Sewol tragedy showing many clips of screaming hysterical parents, some reactors can’t finish it and I feel not warning it’s that awful can be more than we should ask of reactors. Watch it and share it if you can but only when in a good headspace and have someone around to hug afterwards). You are under no obligation to go in unwarned and no one owes us your trauma if it triggers you. That said the corruption and story are as uplifting in how many people protested for years as it is enraging that so many children died.

Sorry for your lost. I lost my dad in 2018 and Spring Day is always a song that close to my heart. The first korean words I learned through BTS was Bogo Shipda (I miss you) and that was the first lyrics in Spring day. With BTS you will be taken on a rollercoaster ride of emotions with their diverse discographies. They reach us in all situations we are facing and when we need it. As other army pointed out in the comments, Spring Day is a great and special song to the army especially to the South Koreans in general. It never leaves the chart since it was released in 2017. Omg this was so cute, they had me dancing and sing along to the three songs, the choice of songs sent e from being happy to sad and i went in a roller coaster of emotions. DynAMIte had me singing and dancing along and i so wanted to be that vinyl record so badly. Save Me had me in my feelings as i was smiling along, swaying and also Jimin, Tae and Jungkook dancing along to the chorus had me laughing so much. Spring Day i had a tear in my eye thru that song and the vocals during it had me in my feelings so badly. And dont get me started on their clothes, i mean Jiminie OMG i was just speechless and on a side note every members english has improved so much im just in love with it, also i love it when they perform with a live band as it just gives off another kind of vibe and its the best when they perform with a live band.

Spring day is honestly one of the most beautiful song’s that BTS has that has such a profound impact on me. I can relate to this song in so many ways. I like you lost my mom to. I was 15 when she passed from cirrhosis of the liver and 28 when I lost my dad to cirrhosis and then 37 when I lost my best friend and oldest sister to cirrhosis as well. And when I hear this song it just comfort’s me in so many ways and help’s me with my grief so I know how you feel. Thank you so much for loving and respecting BTS the way you do, it really means a lot to many of us ARMY💜

Spring Day is NOT about the incident that people are saying. The MUSIC VIDEO however IS about the tragedy but the song itself is about the people you long for. I wish people would stop spreading misinformation about the meaning of the song. This song was released 3 years AFTER the tragedy, so I doubt they'd wait that long to write a tribute song about the incident. Regardless, these guys have a way with words and they'll get you in your feels. Zero O'Clock and Magic Shop also do this for me. And Love Myself. Outro Tear is also a great song featuring the rap line, that talks about their feelings and emotions when they were on the verge of disbanding in 2018.

Video should be okay. NPR is National (US) Public Radio. This was filmed during the lockdown. The audience was staff, masked and socially distanced. Spring Day is beautiful, and I always shed at least few tears. A song about loss...sigh. The MV is about a specific tragedy, but is steeped in symbolism, references, and metaphors. Any celebrity who publicly spoke out about the Sewol Tragedy (supporting the protesters/against the gov't) was blacklisted. As others have mentioned, we will need tissues for that one.

There's such a profound story behind Spring Day. But it does hit deep.

Sorry to hear about your mom. Spring Day background is dedicated to a very sad and traumatizing event that happened in Korea, so I can understand how the feeling of the song reminded you of your mom. The Spring Day Mv referens to Koreas ferry accident 2014 when over 300 students drowned on there field triip. Captan and crew abanded the ship when it was laying on the side, and the student was told to stay inside, the sat there whid there lifejackets on, The where small boats but the where told to do nothing, in Korea younger dont go against older people. Bts and Big Hit donated money to the students familys, even if the where poor at that time

Spring day has that effect. I'm very sorry to hear about your mom. BTS has so many amazing songs that have so much meaning. I lost my brother when he was 14 coming up on 20 years ago next year and I miss him every day. Spring day and a few other songs from BTS always makes me think of loved ones I've lost. I will always love them for putting words to my feelings and helping me through really hard times

BTS'S tiny desk home concert is not a long video not by any means. their 2019 MAMA Music Awards performance is a long video 45 plus minutes long. Best tiny desk home concert only have three songs and some talking I think it's no more than 17 minutes long or less.

The explanation video is a must for this song, 'Spring Day' and the tragic event it is about because of reprisals, the meaning is 'hidden'. OMG I was crying with you but I was also wanting to give you the biggest hug as well!! I know how it feels. Lost my Mum the same way in Dec2003 she was only 57 years old. Still hard to believe especially now that I am around the same age as she was left us 5 months after finding out she had cancer. She also passed away on my Brothers Birthday right after Christmas. 😢😢😢 They say time heals but I don't think grieving a loved one ever does!! So I'm sending all my love and hugs to you mate! Im so sorry for your lost.. I found BTS through Idol but Springday was the song that made stand BTS. Springday came to me in a time of great pain and loneliness and provided me which so much comfort it is truly my favorite song of BTS! 💜💜💜💜 there is a saying in ARMY that BTS finds you when you need them the most!!!!

I, too, had lost a parent when I was younger (a little over 13 years ago), and yet when I listen to "Spring Day," the lyrics still get to me too. Springday It's beautiful, I understand that RM wrote it for the death of a friend or was it Suga??? I do not remember. But the mv has a lot of symbolism, I recommend you watch it. If you want there is also an Italian ARMY that made a whole long documentary, related to the mv with a tragedy that happened in Korea. It is something that if you want you can react or maybe see it in private. Whatever you decide is fine. The truth is that Springday became a signature song of BTS and according to what they say is a staple in Korea....

And though it's not specifically BTS, a Korean network called KBS has a yearly series called "Immortal Songs" where famous Korean singers of different genres sing popular songs and cover them in their particular genre. in 2020, the series was honoring Pdogg who is BTS's main producer so the theme was several of the songs he produced for BTS, one of which was Spring Day. The artist Song So Hee did an absolutely haunting version of this song. I believe her genre is traditional Korean music that has the yodel/vibrato sound.
