Boybands always have more physical sales, even seventeen and stray kids have more physical sales even more than Taylor Swift, Beyonce.... Nobody listens to physical albums anymore..... It's only for collection, and boybands fans buy it more than any other singers, or girlgroups.....
It’s probably because they make way to many versions for both but especially for groups like Nct and seventeen and there’s like a million photocards people wanna buy
I just want to say this. The numbet one all time top selling female kpop group in history is 2ne1! The sold (66 million albums). That's over triple of what blackpink sold. 2ne1 is a "true" legendary musuc/dance group! The "true" queens of kpop! You all can hate on this comment all you want too. But the fact is the fact!
how is having more albums equivolent to a lack of taste and art? david bowie released 11 albums in the span of ten years, elton john and prince both released 13 albums in that time span and all three of those people are some of the biggest, most talented names in music. having a bigger discography says absolutely nothing about the quality of the work itself just about the artist and their diligence. most k-pop boygroups disband after 7 years and a majority of artists decline in quality after their third album. bts did neither. most of bts's albums are no longer than 13 songs and out of 10 of those albums some are japanese versions or re releases with extended/added songs like a 'deluxe' edition, some songs may be trivial but since most of their albums are conceptual ALL of them play a role. pop is not declining because your old ass cant sit through a 30 minute album. YOUR attention span is what's declining.
I always find this very interesting. Blackpink sold a total off 17 million albums world wide so far. But then comes 2ne1! They sold 66 million albums world wide. People dont like to talk about that fact. So "really" who are the true queens of kpop? And also there are rumors that 2ne1 might come back this year. And if they do we will see if they dominate once again? I believe that they will! But my point is that 2ne1 has way more album sales than blackpink did. So then you have to consider what group had a bigger Impact in the history of kpop? As for me 2ne1 is my favorite female music/dance group of all time!
