good point made. he's not the best puncher but he's still a solid puncher i think thats part of why he has had so much success. Dutch style is heavy into the boxing part that is also true. Buakaw is one of the only thai fighters i'd worry about knockout punches with.
That's one of Buakaw's best fights, he and Kraus are so well matched. I love how much he boxes in this match and I think that's why it didn't end in a draw like so many of his fights in Japan with European or Japanese fighters. In interviews Buakaw talks about how much pain he experiences and how tired he felt in these big matches, but you would never know it to watch him.
easy to be great at 2 limbs. try 8 then maybe the dutch and european fighters could stop hiding behind a watered down version of what they call "muay thai."
Buwakaw's action on round ending bell is very affectionate. He fights too smooth n too fast even within a lease gap he can made every thrash what he desired.
cors iv seen him fight thais but just think buakaws too much for him right now...but obviously its a fight with two of the best thai fighters in the world, anything can happen at anytime. think sud vs aikpracha would be sweet too.
There is always this steoreotype that fighters who are good at kicking sucks when it comes to punching and blocking punches. Buakaw would be knocked out many times if this is true...Take a close look at his fights, he has good defense when it comes to punching, while being able to return some punishing blows . On the other hand, the Dutch fighter uses his fists most of the time which makes this looks like a boxing match.
Agreed, Buakaw dominated, looking more like a trainer. His opponent was looking to land one big hand punch; usually that won't work in kickboxing where fighter has to excel in using combination of kick, knee, punch, etc...
It works finally in dida vs an older buakaw who still won the match. I think it s sometimes the only thing to try when your opponent outclass you with kicks and knees as for « fimeu » boxer like Buakaw. If you see it 10 y later it s cool 👍🏼
For the westerners kickboxing is an art of sports but for Ancient SIAM warriors Muay Thai is the spirit of combat , they trained their whole life for this moment 🙏
