O surf surgiu no final dos anos 60, iniciado pelas migrações dos surfistas que ano após ano repetiam o roteiro do verão interminável no velho continente. Depois da introdução do surf na Figueira da Foz, as míticas ondas de Buarcos tem sido surfadas por gerações com uma excepção que é comum a todas até aos dias de hoje:

In Buarcos, one of the oldest coastal villages in Portugal, runs the longest right wave in Europe. It's been like that since forever.
Surfing emerged at the end of the 60s, initiated by the migration of surfers who, year after year, repeated the route of the endless summer on the old continent. After the introduction of surfing in Figueira da Foz, the mythical waves of Buarcos have been surfed for generations with one exception that is common to all until today:
The big swells have always taken the better of the human condition and the big and perfect waves, for reasons of accessibility, rolled by themselves.
This film tells the story of a local surfer who wants to change all that.
