Hello having trouble dialing in the skimmer by put the correct depth. is still overflows whether I put it on Max or the other settings I can't get it to dial in at all I wonder if you can help me
+ramirez rudy - I had mine in about 9 inch of water and had similar issues, wet skim would go crazy and overflow etc. I added about a 1 inch riser and now it is in about 8 inch and have it set to between the 3 and max mark. I would say try to put it in about 7 1/2 inch of water and that should give you more adjustment.
is the water level at the red ring on the neck of the skimmer and the tube that adjusts the flow open all the way. wen I used a nitrate camecal in my tank the cup would overflow in a few seconds
Hello i have a question plz give me answer ....my cabinet is too short in height only 15.5 inches but curve 5 height is 18.5 inches so i cannot stand the curve 5 skimmer straight in the sump so if i put it in 45 or 60 degree angluar position Then will it work well ????????????
Right at 9 inches. I've had it now for about 8 months and I love it. I do have a ( some would say) heavy bioload 14 fish ( all under 3/4 except for three) but it runs fine even at zero it's not a very dry skimmate but its works well
@@bobescher8831 i am going to buy one for my 50gallon tank and 18gallon sump.. is bubble magus curve 5 suits my tank? I have 7small fish and 2big fish.. a nems, sea urchin and 3 snails.. this skimmer rated for 130gallon right?

Everything is spinning fine - I just have two scenarios- one is when the water flows into the cup - or the micro bubble just rise up the tube. No foam anywhere.
+Carl Recktenwald Jr. ah I watched it further as you pulled it out you bought the 301 not the 302 you grabbed it and I was like his hand is either Gigantic or that's not a 302..lol you have the 301 which I've been considering for my wife's biocube
+Carl Recktenwald Jr. yeah I think the sca is now revised for up to a 65 gal. the 303 is 150 and the 302 is 180 which knock off 20 gal. cause all manufacturer's numbers are always skewed anyways... I'm running a 65 moderate reef with a 20 long fug. and this thing pulls so damn fast it almost ends up drying out in the neck... but I do like that you have a tank with just chaeto as your 1st stage then dumping through the rest of the filtration.. I think I'm going to do the same instead of putting in the middle section like most do and just use fug. sect. as another small tank or time out
