This is a (mostly) uncut live stream where I was practicing for an upcoming live show at Coaxial Arts in Los Angeles on August 17th, 2024. The show is called Buchla Explorations, and is meant to showcase these wonderful instruments. All the sound sources are Buchla only and we are allowed an FX unit. I decided to go with the Soma Cosmos. As a looper, I tend to be able to strech one instrument out a lot by using loopers, but I didn't want to just use a traditional looper and make what I normally would in a scenario like that. I wanted to try to highlight how the easel can be a performance instrument in itself. The Soma Cosmos being a non synced looper that naturally changes over time due to multiple delay lines at different lengths, is perfect for allowing me to explore the sound design of the easel while not getting stuck in a repetitive loop. Rather, its more of a conversation between me, and 2 past iterations of what I had played layering, over and over. Anywho, thanks for listening, and watching.
