Thanks for your work!💚 It looks like they actually addressed all the problems of the previous models and managed to create a perfect Buck knife

Hi Jay Thanks for introducing a great knife. The original Buck 110 was my first knife and I am very happy to see it updated in a wonderful way.

I'm with you on the Buck changes, Jay. I hadn't bought any Bucks for a long time, then I tried a 112 Slim Select (FRN scales & 420HC blade). It won me right out of the box - so much so that I also bought a 110 Slim Select, as well. Love them both. Sure, the new pocket clips are a little "chunky", but they work well. Your TRX is another step up from the SS models. Thanks for another good review!

I wish this line included the full-on clip-point blade rather than the semi-drop-point these have.

I'm a fan of the slim series that Buck has been making the last few years, and this one seems even better. This was the first video I've seen on the new TRX knives, so thanks for the look at this one, buddy.

it is really good to see Buck stepping up their quality control game. The last few bucks I purchased they had terrible finish. They were the 110 slim pro and the onset. I had to return both, and it hurt me so much because I grew up with buck knives. Both my father and grandpa only carried Buck and Case knives.

I saw this knife at a local place and oh man was it tempting. I have a non-S30V slim version and it is a great, solid knife. Go Buck!

Interesting! Modernize away, but don't ever stop making the original! (Should we really commend the choice of everyone's least favorite torx screw on the basis of it being the only size on the knife? Lol) Thanks for the look, Jay!

Thanks for the video. I've bought too many knives recently, but that 112 version is really tempting. They also seem very reasonably priced (I think $100ish for S30v and G10 made in the USA)

It is a nice upgrade. I haven't been impressed with buck in the last decade. But this. They made a gem here. Making the knife with screws instead of rivets is awesome then add s30vn heat treated blade. Ya. Slim. Not to expensive you are afraid to use it like some of my knives. It is perhaps the perfect EDC. Sandwich needs cutting, perfect size , need some pipe cleaning it can do that with its slim blade. Need to defend yourself it can do that too. Small enough to carry but big enough for all tasks.

YES! Been so much thinking about grabbing one of those, or one of Buck's "Sport" versions. There's two things I'd like to see different, one is a little bit smaller thumb studs, and two is jimping on a Buck 110 or 112. I think that'll be the best.

Thanks Jay. Does seem like a good knife but I think I need to get a 110 in the collection first. Then maybe this will be a place to add other bucks. Thanks jay

They should had a thong hole for a lanyard and bead... that too seems to be in fashion these days. I personally like my "grandpa" Buck 110, nothing beats steel, brass, wood and leather!

Have wanted a (110 or 112) Slim for some time but the old pocket clip was a massive turn off. In fact, it was the only knife I didn't buy specifically because I hated the pocket clip so much. I'm now glad I waited. With the Slim Pro TRX you get the 110 style with new clip!!, much better steel, good handles - I even like the straight clip (vs traditional bowie clip). Thanks for the vid.

I have both the 110 and 112 with the orange handles. I like carrying the 112 more but the 110 feels better in hand. Both are very solid choices.

I've been considering this knife. I'm really liking the direction Buck had been going. My main carry right now is the 110 Hunter Sport. Love it! It's getting hot and I was thinking about getting the 112 slim TRX as my shorts carry. Is the 110 heavy?

I love the removable bolts and the new pocket clip, but I do not like the bigger thumb studs placed that far up the spine…why did they do that?
@yankee2yankee216

It changes everything, but mot entirely for the better. It seems to be a good knife. It has everything a high-end knife might have, i.e. titanium, and S35VN, thumb studs and ball bearings (?). The Torx screws are standard modern pocket knife stuff. What bothers me is the price tag… It seems that that titanium handle and good steel added about $375 to the price tag! That’s right, this knife costs about $475, which is a lot! In fact, although this seems to be a pretty good knife, that puts it into competition with quite a few very high quality knives. I think this knife should be priced closer to $200, than to $500… Quite a few very good knives (e.g. Kizer) can be had for quite a bit less.

Happy Friday TKB, for my lighter weight summer pocket carry I have opted Not to buy this lightweight Buck 110 Slim Pro TRX, instead I have selected the Buck 110 Folding Hunter LT. My reasons are 1) The 110 LT has the original full 110 full clip point blade unlike the revised / re-shaped clip point blade on the 110 Slim Pro TRX . 2) IMO the Buck 110 Slim Pro TRA is over priced Vis a Vis the 110 Folding Hunter Slim Select . I have a classic Buck 110 Folding Hunter & a Buck 112 Ranger and also the Buck 112 Ranger Slim Select & whilst in general I like carrying the 112 SS I am not so happy with its revised blade shape & much shorter cutting edge that the regular 112 and so in selecting which of the lightweight 110's to carry I chose the traditional shaped full size clip point blade of the 110 LT over the 110 SP TRX. It doesn't bother me that it has no thumb studs as I have bought a Kwik thumb stud to attach to mine & I will be carrying it not in its pouch but in a thin leather pocket slip of the same type I pocket carry both my 110 & 112 classic models in & will attach a lanyard to the 110 LT for fast extraction from my pants pocket.

I don’t mind a simple box, but maybe they could put it in a pouch of some kind? I gave a seller on eBay a harsh review after he sent me my new, $200 knife rattling around loose in a box. Yes, it may survive ok, but is that any way to treat an EXPENSIVE treasure? That knife was actually damaged in transit (a small nick, but conspicuous, and on a previously perfect knife). Shirogorov knives, among the most expensive production knives on the market, come in simple boxes, but wrapped in embossed microfiber cloths, with a certificate of authenticity, etc., i.e. NOT NAKED in a box! It’s a matter of having a little respect.

I ordered a Buck three blade . When It arrived and I saw CHINA on the blade,, I got so pissed off, I just threw it in a box . Buck is no longer " Made in USA" I am glad I bought 2 model 110 and 1 model 112 back when they were quality. I will never buy another one. I took another look at the three blade and it really is ,VERY POORLY fit and finished. Blades came dull and it was EXTREMELY difficult to get an edge on any of the blades. The Sheep foot blade had an edge so far off center, it looked like a chisel edge.. I contacted Buck and basically told them that Horace would be ashamed of them.

I bought a 110 because of its legacy, but it's one of the worst knives I own, if not THE worst. It's bulky, heavy and has terrible action. I literally NEVER take it out to use it.

To cut cardboard you use a utility knife... 😑😑😑 you can strop a blade with cardboard just like with leather so by cutting cardboard with a knife you'll dull the blade.... use a utility knife.. man .. come on...
