You hit it on the head, the Buck 112 Slim is a great, no-nonsense EDC. I carry mine often and am confident it is always up to the job!

Yes The 110 and 112 series of knives are just great it is one of the longest ongoing series of knives and they were on my wish list for a long time unfortunately I had buy other knives but now I'm catching up with the older pro series with micarta scales will be next up and now I have to get some classic 110

The Buck 112 Slim Select is one of the best pocket knives, simple but stable and very good.

Yes it is one of the best value US-made and there is also the pro version for more money and better steel if you need it.

Nice simple knife and profile....except for that pocket clip, should be everything you'd ask for in a knife. If this were my first knife, I'd probably would have stopped there and not be watching all these RU-vid knife reviews or buying, learning about and collecting so many other knives!

Yes the pocket clip is an acquired taste like with some other companies. Yes, they could keep it simple or give it a nice wire clip but for some really I like it maybe because it embodies a proud brand with a long heritage. There was an aftermarket pocket clip made out of titanium but I would not spend that kind of money to make the knife almost double the price.
