The Bundy's money problems appear to be over when a credit card arrives addressed to Buck.
From Married With Children, Season 2 Episode 16, 'Master The Possibilities'. Al, under the impression that you don't have to pay for anything you didn't order, takes Peggy and Bud on a wild spending spree, and goes with Peggy to a fancy hotel for a weekend getaway when the mailman accidentally leaves a new credit card addressed to Buck the dog.

30 years ago I once ordered a milkshake machine. It came and I payed for it. Next month came another one but no bill with it. I kept it. The following month came a new one again, also without a bill. At that point I realized there was a mistake made by them and I would be getting a free milkshake machine a month for God knows how long ahead So I called them and told them to stop sending them, they just laughed and said oops, it's their mistake and I can keep my machines but I will get no more! I sometimes wonder how many years I would have continued to get them, I could have opened a business selling milkshake machines 😆

Only complaint for this episode is that Buck didn’t have any lines. He could’ve imagined the possibilities of what he could do with a credit card.

At one time they were sending pre approved applications to people who were not qualified. It's were I got my Shell mastercard pre approved for 6 thousand dollars. They don't do it anymore I guess they lost a lot of money. My middle name was money for a while. Oliver Money Brown.

The 2 most common credit cards are Visa and MasterCard (back then it was called MasterCharge, iirc). And pretty much any place that accepted credit cards accepted those 2. So, unless it was a specific store card (which for the show's purpose would not make any sense), it is a very good chance that the card they got would have worked without a problem at a gas station (assuming the gas station accepted credit cards in the first place).
