About Married with Children:
The less-than-lovable Bundys are a radical departure from the saccharine-sweet TV families popular since the days of Father Knows Best. With offbeat humor and unflinching honesty, Married... paints a more realistic picture of middle-class existence, warts and all. Al Bundy (Ed O'Neill) is a shoe salesman who is fond of frequently reliving his doubtful 15 seconds of fame on the football field. Al is terrified of the all-too-frequent amorous advances of his ditsy wife Peggy (Katey Sagal), who spends most of Al's wages at the salon and the mall. They have two teenage kids: stunning but superficial party animal Kelly (Christina Applegate) and egocentric Bud (David Faustino). Married for 16 semi-blissful years, Peggy and Al have found that the secret to a happy marriage is to accept one another's idiosyncrasies.

The next one should be where Al tries(keyword: tries) to hunt the rabbit in his vegetable garden. That’s one of the best episodes, an homage to Looney Tunes.

This, the vegetable garden and the one where he tried to fix the antenna were BY FAR the best episodes of the first half of the show. Simple in premise, but masterfull in execution

The part in the episode where Al sits up in bed suddenly and says "I hear something" then the sound of the trap snapping and Buck yelping and then Al yelling out "YOU STUPID DOG" had me in tears! 😂

This is one of my favorite early_ Bundy shows. The way Peggy shrieked like a train whistle when she saw the mouse, the way she pleaded with Al to hold her. especially back then, if she didn't smoke I would have held her in a heartbeat.

That hammer had to have hit almost 5" away from his hand. That was close, but not close enough. They should have given him a rubber hammer where he could hit his finger and cry in pain. Would have played off better. Loved this freaking show!

My cat attacked a mouse and brought it to my bedroom already dead.I rewarded her for doing that, afterwards I wore protective gloves and properly dispose the mouse in a dumpster

Its interesting to read comments about people who dont understand why Al doesnt like doing it with Peg or being with Peg in general. They said they would love to be with her in a heartbeat. Well, if you truly believe that, you have never been married or in a long term relationship where you are together day, after day, after day, after day. Sure, Peg looks hot to you, because you arent with her for years on in. Trust me, you will eventually turn into Al if you had a Peggy around for 10 plus years and 2 kids to remind you what came of the marriage lol
